Limpeza do quarto era muito boa, e das áreas comuns também. Área de piscinas muito bonitas e agradáveis, assim como todo o hotel! Parque aquático para todas as idades, o que faz uma grande diferença para quem viaja com 2 crianças com nós. Funcionários sempre muito cordiais e solicitos. Area kids muito bem equipada e limpa, e se pode deixar as crianças sem a presença de um adulto, sem taxa extra. Comida de boa qualidade nos buffes e café da manhã. Restaurantes especiais posso dizer que eram muito bons, mas nada de espetacular. Quanto aos shows/entretenimento, não posso comentar pois não conseguimos ir a nenhum, as crianças dormiam muito cedo. A avaliação geral é espetacular, voltaria com certeza, um ótimo custo benefício.

Each dish was not just a meal , but a carefully crafted experience , flavorful fresh and beautifully presented , every bite was a delight . La explicación que nos dieron fue que estaban en temporada baja, pero en ningún momento Expedia informó que esto iba a afectar los servicios incluidos. Pagamos por una experiencia completa y no fue así. La relación calidad-precio no se justifica si varios restaurantes y opciones de comida no están disponibles. Ojalá fueran más transparentes en la descripción para que uno pueda decidir con toda la información antes de reservar. Great staff service, but very poor food options and availability The hotel staff was excellent — very kind and always willing to help. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. Many restaurants were closed and the buffet had very little variety. The explanation given was that it’s “low season,” but at no point did Expedia mention that this would affect the services offered. We paid for a full experience and did not receive it. The value for money is not justified when several dining options are unavailable. Transparency is key, and guests should be informed beforehand so they can make an informed decision before booking.

The property has a lot of foliage and a lot of still water around creating a Mosquito breeding ground. We were being eaten alive. Some areas had a strong garbage smell and overall the food wasn’t great. Our Room was nice and our Concierge Jhonny took great care of us. Shout out to the bartender Luciano and Ana, Grill cook Roberlito who treated us like family!

- Diozen (8/5): - We stayed at the resort from September 3rd to the 4th and had an overall positive experience. As a pleasant surprise upon arrival, we received a complimentary room upgrade for being Expedia members, which was a fantastic way to start our trip. The food quality varied. We really enjoyed our dinners at the à la carte restaurants that required a reservation; the meals there were very good. The breakfast buffet was another highlight, offering a wide and delicious selection each morning. However, we found the lunch buffet to be quite disappointing and not up to the same standard. For the most part, the staff was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The only small issue we encountered was with the staff at the juice station during breakfast, who weren't particularly friendly and could have smiled more. A major plus was that the hotel allowed us to have a late check-out at no extra cost, which we really appreciated as it was another benefit of our Expedia booking. All in all, it was a good stay, and we were very pleased with the special treatment for booking through Expedia.

The room cleaning service, however, could be improved, as it did not fully meet our expectations. The restaurants at the resort are excellent; the food and atmosphere were great. While we felt that most of the staff were not very friendly and seemed uninterested in providing good service, we would like to highlight a few exceptional employees who truly made a difference. Mitchel, our butler, and Ramon, the waiter at the Riviera restaurant, provided outstanding and attentive service and helped make our stay much more enjoyable. Overall, the resort has great potential, with beautiful grounds and delicious dining options, and with a little improvement in room cleaning and customer service, it could be an even more amazing experience.

- Maria (2/5): - We stayed at the Amelia for eight days in August. The beach was horrible. It was all dirty full of seaweed. It didn’t look like a Caribbean ocean should look like you cannot make reservations for any of their four restaurants prior to getting there the day of they’re already closed for reservations And when you tried the very next day, they were all booked, but the only two restaurants that were available where the hibachi or the steakhouse because you had to pay for them they were not included in the all-inclusive package, which they don’t tell you till you get there and it was $58 ahead. The buffets were nice. The food was not all that great. They didn’t have anything for kids to eat who would not have or carry in a Caribbean please plantains or french fries or chicken nuggets. The lobby was beautiful. The entertainment was great. The bathrooms were clean. The rooms were a bit outdated TV didn’t work for the first two days and the people we traveled with had to move twice definitely not a 4.7 star hotel like Expedia put out. I would not stay there or recommended if you are going on a family vacation and definitely have children and if you would like me the loves the ocean that was the ocean to go into

They also told me they would text me when my room was ready and they did not. I did not get early check-in. I did not get offered an upgrade and I had to ask for the VIP things that I was supposed to get for being Expedia VIP gold.

Tons of things to do for the kids and they loved the waterpark Food options and buffet could have been better. It also was very difficult to make reservations at the restaurants and not as easy to do because they were booked so we didn’t get to try many of the cuisines and cleanness in the room could have been better as well.

- Elena (6/5): - Our experience was okay. I am giving it 3 stars because I stayed in much better managed all-inclusive resorts that were within the same price range. Food is a 4/5. Good but the same exact options every day of the week. The a-la-cart restaurants are decent but incredibly hard to get a table at. Room cleanliness 4/5. Staff is doinga great job, but we had ants in the bathroom. Our room keys stoped working all the time. Five out of 8 days, I found myself locked out of my own room. Imagine standing by your room wearing nothing but a wet swimsuit, balancing a hungry toddler in a soiled diaper on your arm and having to walk 12 minutes to the lobby and 12 min back just to get a new set of key cards. Not nice. 1/5 Ah, and the convenience store 0/5!!! A $10 sunscreen costs you $35. A box of tampons - $40! I understand that you want to mark things up a bit for convenience, but, I mean, $40? Makes me want to ask the manager of this hotel, "As a resort, are you in the business of making a quick buck on a woman who forgot to pack her tampons, or are you in a business of helping that same woman create positive memories to last a lifetime?"
- Santiago Rojas (6/5): - There is never enough space to eat in the restaurants. Getting around the hotel is a problem with transportation on the golf carts, there are very few. Some of the employees, not all of them seem as if they do not want to help you or provide what you need. We paid a Premium Level package and it did not seem like a premium service. To start with, the drink we ordered was told they did not have it, we had to call the managers to help us since they did have it. I think that if I pay for a Level package it is to have first class service and not have any problems or ichus. I want to highlight an employee who did his best to ensure our stay and excellent treatment. Olimer Martinez was attentive and always with a good smile.

Unfortunately, the food felt like it may have been leftovers from previous days, and the beds weren’t very comfortable. We had mixed experiences with staff — some were wonderfully friendly and helpful, while others came across as rude. Overall, a lovely setting for families with young children, but a few areas could use improvement.

Phones didn’t work in either room and getting room service was so difficult, tv didn’t work, toilet was broke and Ac was leaking all over the floor. Trying to set up reservations was awful and never could get in where we wanted. They picked the restaurants for us but everyone went to was mostly empty. The staff was the most disappointing part…. Nobody wanted to be there, zero friendliness and seemed annoyed. Very unwelcoming and warming. Also if you expect food at the pool there is no service for that either besides a hotdog stand and a swim up bar. Food in the restaurants we okay, but the buffets were average at best. Just so many little things and never easy to get things fixed! Staff was really the worst part. Wouldn’t ever go back unfortunately

Was on hold for long periods of time and if you lost the key to your room or something you’d have to walk/wait for a mini golf cart all the way back to the lobby (it’s a big resort) in the heat instead of having someone just deliver new keys to your place. It’s a beautiful resort though and you’ll meet a lot of new friends
- Bruna (6/5): - Pros: The resort is stunning, the room and bed were comfortable. The pool is fantastic. Cons: The beach is not clear blue waters (if that’s what you’re looking for). Also, if you go in the summer, there is tons of seaweed. The minute you step into this hotel they start trying to upsell you everything. They will wake you up pool side to sell you things. When I tried to reserve dinner for the next 3 nights, they only gave me a restaurant option for one night unless I wanted to pay extra. They will tell you only one restaurant has open reservations that night and it’s one that will charge you extra. Entertainment is very limited and not announced when you check in.

- Shadys (10/5): - I have been to this resort 4 times, just got back 3 days ago and I’m already planning our 5th stay at this resort. I got married here back and 2015 and the resort just keeps getting better each time. Everything from the rooms comfortability and cleanliness to the delicious food options and onsite daily activities is amazing. They have activities at the beach and pool like art, rum tasting, aerobics, a foam party and much more. They have nightly events in their theatre room/ lobby. This was the first time I’ve been back since 2018 and they added a water park for kids, my twins loved it. I always recommend this hotel!

- JUAN (4/5): - Rooms very destroyed and dirty, roaches walking around like they are home, air conditioning not cooling and getting broken, maids barely clean, you can notice that bathrooms are dirty from long before. You have to wait long lines to get into the restaurant, the menu is very similar everyday with minimal variety, minimal seefood given that you are at the beach. Coffee is from button machines/dispensers, not good at all. Very dissapointed in general. Personnel were kind but many had an attitude toward turists.

We opted for an upgrade to have adjoining rooms and that what was a waste of money. The hotel is 30 years old and you can tell. The pools look rundown and the only saving grace was the splash park they had. This year the beach was full of sargassum so we couldn’t enjoy it. They need more activities to do with guests to engage people more as well. The initial conversation with the front desk was a poor experience they never treated us with VIP. Also there were busloads of locals arriving that caused a trashy experience, I never recommend this hotel to anyone.

At one breakfast, dining staff didn’t clean the table thoroughly in between guests. Vouchers given to us by booking thru Expedia is a joke, you have to go out of your way to find where it can be redeemed. Pools have lifeguards that reinforce safety rules, water park was great. foam party for kids and adults was great. Italian restaurant was superb.

Mentioned to front desk, and no one showed or cared Kids caught hands, foot, mouth disease. Assuming from the pool not being clean I ate a dessert that tasted like it was sitting in fish water. Dessert was a vanilla cake Bell boy never showed after being told he would be there in 5 mins. We carried our luggage and babies manually (no elevator) Staff was 50/50 nice vs attitude. The hospitality is amazing everyone is so helpful, it’s a family resort but the kids aren’t any bother because the staff keeps them busy and the resort has plenty of things to do for all ages. Booking through Expedia gives you so many perks on the resort as well, I got free room service every day of our stay, 10% off of spa treatments and so much more. If you’re are on the fence just book it the resort is great and you get a lot for the money you pay, don’t hesitate. I know I will be returning.

We weren’t informed about our VIP privileges until a day before I checked out (I stayed a week) and I was giving a different room than what I paid for and when I told them they didn’t even try to apologize or switch me rooms. I will never be staying there again. The place is beautiful but the service and staff ruins your whole experience.
