• sam (9/5): A very peaceful stay on a gorgeous lake hosted by the lovely Chris - Chris was a really lovely host. We arrived late and in the dark, and he very kindly drove 20 minutes to a more obvious meeting point and guided us in. Above and beyond. He also gave us some great onward tips, and continues to over message! A lovely man The property is very cosy, and great value for money. It sits on the edge of a gorgeous lake, which has a deck that looks over the setting sun. Very peaceful, and exactly what we needed I cant think of anything i didnt like!

• Cheryl (10/5): An Exceptional Stay With Stunning Views - We had an exceptional stay. Chris and Magda were warm, gracious, and genuinely thoughtful in every detail. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt welcomed and well looked after. The setting is serene and peaceful, with stunning views of the mountains and the lake right from the property. It was so calm and beautiful that we often had to push ourselves to leave and explore the area because it was so tempting to simply stay and enjoy the surroundings. The accommodation itself is beautifully kept, with impeccable housekeeping and a level of care in how everything is thoughtfully appointed that immediately stands out. Chris and Magda truly have hosting down to an art form. This is easily the best place we’ve stayed in South Africa and one of the best anywhere in our travels around the world. Even better if a kettle/hospitality tray in downstairs bedroom so very early risers don’t disturb those sleeping upstairs by going up to make a brew. Chris and his wife , both of them really nice. 3- the home by itself and BBQ area very nice Because the second floor made from wood , so any steps. movements up , clear you will hear it , somehow it’s noise for the guys down , but it’s not a big deal , this is just when someone walking , it was fine with me because I was with my children

The view is beautiful and the house is so neatly made and well taken care of. We booked this place about 11 months in advance and really glad we did. • Struan (9/5): The most relaxed and grounded we have felt in a very long time. - We arrived to the friendliest welcome. We had everything explained to us regarding the property, as well as, where to go during our days; sites, activities, food etc. But it was when we got to the house we were staying in that our jaws, quite literally, dropped. The house was almost fairytale like, set into a view that would take pages to describe. It was nothing short of mind alteringly beautiful. If you are looking for a location that takes your breath away every time you look outside, this is the place.

From the garden, there is a very lovely sunset view over the lake and onto the Drakensberge. The Location is perfect to start your hiking tours and explore the surroundings. There is a dog that is about to improve the experience of your stay tremendously. The natural design of the outdoor pool and the surrounding bushes provide a feeling of privacy. -

Прекрасный хозяин - у нас спустило колесо, так он дал нам с собой в дорогу специальный баллончик со средством для ремонта колеса, и он нам таки пригодился.

• Guppyfood (8/5): Very good - Great location and fantastic views. The pool was lovely and the unit was very clean and well maintained. Lovely shower, beds were comfortable. We appreciated the lengths taken to make each unit private and homely. Also one of the few places we've stayed with undercover parking for the car which was appreciated especially as our car leaks! A good reminder that professional establishments with star ratings are the way to go if you want consistency and comfort.

• Garry (6/5): We enjoyed sitting outside and on the deck watching the sunset but inside the cottage was quite dark - The location was very nice and the view was beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped but the stove was very old and not in keeping with the rest of the kitchen the en suite bathroom was very shabby and could do with a renovation. The shower over the bath was very weak. The bedroom upstairs was very dusty as were the cupboards.

• David (9/5): Our stay was just what we wanted - peaceful, relaxing, and picturesque with lovely hosts. - The personal touch of the suggestions for sightseeing and eating and what to do when the power went out were very helpful. They also went out of their way to ensure we were happy and to check if we needed anything else. They also went above and beyond and helped us get our car cleaned. It's such a minor point and it was not a problem, but there was a small leak in the roof that happened just before we left when it had rained heavily. The owners were very happy we told them - they weould not be able to know otherwise! - and they were going to see to it straight away. Otherwise there is nothing we didn't like.

We were unlucky to visit when the weather was not great, but we enjoyed staying in the Tree House anyway. The fireplace kept us warm and the area around the house is already enough. Also, Chris is a great host. Would love to come back some time!
