• James (8/5): Large apartment with good views, - Location was good, There is a little cafe opposite which makes a beautiful espresso ( and we are serious about our coffees) and good people running it; You need to be a hill-walker because it is up a steep hill or use a taxi. We are in our 80's btw so any reasonably fit person can do it. The cafe opposite can be noisy, but this manageable by using the double paned windows.

• Pauline (8/5): Central apartment with amazing view - Amazing big apartment with stunning view from the balcony. All facilities were there and private parking spot was so so handy. We believe they forgot to vacuum clean upon our arrival & it was a bit difficult to figure out the parking situation.
• Gabriela (10/5): Great non-touristy location, very comfy double bed, nice terrace with the view on the city - Clean, modern flat with some cute antique furniture. Very nice and spacious bathroom, more than enough towels for each guests. The apartment has a washing machine and the host even left some washing powder! Well equipped kitchen if you want to cook. A very nice balcony and very comfy double bed. The apartment is located not so central but for us it was ideal because it was quite and non touristy with walking distance to all restaurants and tourist attractions. Highly recommended👌🏻 We liked everything. Maybe to note for some people - an apartment is located on the hill so you'll need to climb some stairs every day. But it's perfect way to burn some extra kcal from delicious Madeira food.
• Luc (5/5): We would never rent this apartment again and certainly would not recommend it to others - nice terrace; presence of a garage Bad mattress; no lounge chair on the terrace; lots of noise inside (ticking water meters in wall behind bed) and outside (barking dogs, lots of noise from café across the street, chatting women on stairs); outdated apartment (taps, handles, ...)

• Enzo (6/5): Love apartment, shame about the location!! - The actual apartment was beautiful There is a bar on the opposite side of the road which regularly had drunk customers talking loudly late into the night + smoking so we could have windows open making it very stuffy.
• Carolyn (8/5): Well equipped apartment - Apartment had everything needed for a comfortable stay and suitably equipped to cook an evening meal. Lovely terrace with fantastic views. The owner's mother lives across the way and provided friendly assistance when needed as well as some wonderful homemade bread. Streets are narrow and cars are parked terribly, so very hard to negotiate, especially some days getting out of the garage because of parking opposite. Also, road very difficult to find the first time especially arriving in the dark. Also note, the control for the garage door is inside the apartment (would have been better to have known this before arrival). There is a cafe opposite and the owner likes to hold court, usually between 0700 & 2200, not too bad if you keep the windows closed but no air con. Finally, whilst not a particular problem for us as we are fit, great views mean you are high up. It is only 10-15 minute walk to the seafront but on the way back it is very steep.

• Dariusz (8/5): Very good - The apart has everything you need, has a wonderful view from the balcony on the hills of Funchal and the ocean. There is a small house nearby with three dogs barking randomly throughout every single night. In front of the apart there is a small "cafe" where locals tend to gather everyday. Sometimes it gets really loud.

• Rebecca (7/5): Good value for money- just what we needed. - Very big apartment with a lovely balcony and great view. Coffee (drip coffee maker and percolator) was a great addition. No bath, but shower had great water pressure. Easy and quick walk down to centre of Funchal. Parking was great in our own private space in the communal garage - although road is very, very narrow and angle of entry into garage requires a bit of forward and back. Would recommend a very small car as driving to the flat initially in our (big rental) car was stressful. Staff were very quick to reply via online service, with lots of helpful information. This was excellent. Slight smell to kitchen which was flagged to the management.
