• Siv (5/5): Helt greit hotell om du kun skal sove og ta deg en dusj. Grei pris. - Forholdsvis grei beliggenhet. Men bildene viser et hotel i høyere klasse enn virkeligheten. Rommene var ikke helt rene. Da vi sjekket inn lå det søppelposer og skitten sengetøy i gangen utenfor heisen, noe som ble liggende i over et døgn. Rommet var helt greit, men de kunne ha vasket og støvsuget gulvet litt bedre. Være oppmerksom på at du må selv gi beskjed om håndklær bytte og rom vask. Mye rot og ikke helt reint hotell

• Serena (9/5): Superb - The location was excellent and the staff very helpful. They also offer luggage storage before and after your stay, which allowed us to explore Kyoto one more day without being encumbered by suitcases. The windows are two layers of frosted glass and paper, making it impossible to see out, so there is no advantage to having one of the higher floor rooms.
• Gerald (5/5): Not worth the 4 stars - Priced lower Not worth the 4 stars that booking.com shows (google actually says 3 stars), the amenities were subpar, pyjamas were not comfortable (had to ask to get it, not pre-prepared), towel for our child were also not prepared (had to ask), staffs were not as helpful (asked to book taxi for the next morning, the lady said yes, only for another to say the next morning that taxi booking is not possible due to golden week), no laundry, bus stop nearby is under construction, a lot not to like.

• Lauren (6/5): Pleasant - Staff were friendly and hotel was clean. We ended up with twin beds although I booked a double, this wasn't a huge problem. The room didn't get cleaned during our stay, only 4 nights but could have done with a sheet change. You had to get top-ups of toiletires and coffee/tea from reception and the coffee bags you had to pay for. I would have expected more for the price we paid. The hotel is on a bus line but beware they only run every 20 minutes or so. you can walk into town but it is around 45 minutes. There was no way of opening the window in the room.
• Malaka (10/5): Excellent japanese experience - It was one of the most affordable options in the area yet with really good facilities and 24hr receptionist and other additional services offered. Had a few beers and since we didn't have meals at the hotel, we did not have any utensils to feed the kid his food. The staff was very understanding and helpful to provide us with above. When an English Google map search is run, it takes us to the correct location,but with the Japanese name on it. I'm sure the ownership can sort this out in no time.

• Martin (7/5): Okay stay - The location is amazing. I would easily say that this is one of the best locations that you can get in Kyoto. On top of that there is a supermarket close by and some change restaurants for cheap and good meals. The room itself was not the best. It felt a bit small and not that clean. The pictures are a bit edited compared to what we got. Having said that the rooms are not good, however the location is still really good.

• Natalie (8/5): Excellent mid hotel! - Beds were comfortable. Shower pressure was good. Toiletries included shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. Hotel was quiet. Staff were really friendly and spoke excellent English. Really easy to find. Close to Nijo Castle. The bathroom was a little bit on the small side. The TV had no English channels. The pillows were a bit low for me. No safe in the room.

There was lots of noise from the street including sirens from the nearby hospital. The window does not open. The rooms were very small- difficult to move around with two large suitcases on the floor.

• Marie-ange (10/5): Exceptional - Good location and comfortable room. Quite a good base to visit Kyoto. Staff was attentive and friendly. Even though it is located on a main road, we could not hear any traffic and slept well. Nothing.
• Stanislav (7/5): A fine stay - The rooms are pretty spacious, the location is near Kyoto Gyoen National Garden and Nijō Castle. And about a 30 minute walk from the other tourist zones. With several bus stops that can get you anywhere. Friendly and very helpful staff. Sadly the room that we were in, had visible dust on the bed frame, room phone and a very noisy air purifier. The hotel is located near a hospital so be prepared to hear several during the night. ( earplugs or noise-dampening headphones are recommended. )

• Lezanne (10/5): It met our expectations and was comfortable for what we paid for. - The hotel is very well located on a main street with access to multiple bus stops and Luup bike locations near by. There were also several konbini's and other stores near by. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the service overall was above expectations. The hotel doesn't have a coin laundry room, but there is one located around the corner from the hotel. Nothing directly associated with the hotel disappointed us, however, some of the restaurants on the main street were not English friendly, which is understandable with the current problem with certain tourists. It did make us feel slightly unwelcome and we had to travel a bit further from the hotel for dinner on some evenings. That was our only real complaint.

• Hlib (7/5): Good - Very helpful and friendly staff, the hotel is generally up to a good standard. As the hotel is located directly next to the hospital and fire station, there are vehicles with sirens on passing by quite frequently, often 2-4 of them at once, creating a VERY loud and intense noise. It never even stops at night, so you can expect to hear it at least once every half an hour. Of course there is nothing the hotel or staff can do about it, just an unfortunate location. Extra soundproofing would potentially be good.
• גל (8/5): Nice stay, good value for money but the main road by the hotel is very loud - Overall nice stay, location was overall good just besides nijo castle, Bus station very close and quite a few restaurants and convenience stores by the hotel. Felt clean and had a nice place to sit downstairs No windows, and yet no soundproof at all. Its on a main road which means cars all the time and an hospital must be near by because every night we woke up to ambulance sirens. No subway location close by but a bus station 2 min walk away reaching from kyoto station and to any place not connected by the near by bus station was 12 min walk to subway station.

• Vasileiou (2/5): Stay away - There is zero soundproofing. I could hear every car passing on the street and every person on the hallway. There were ambulances passing evey couple of minutes at night, so I was unable to sleep the whole time. In my room there was a screen covered window, so it was not possible to look outside or get natural light during the day. The amenities are the basic ones you get at every other hotel. The bed was ok, but the pillows were very uncomfortable. The price was ridiculous for the quality.
