• PS01 (10/5): Great Staff At Radisson Blu - I had a good experience staying at the Radisson Blu in Larnaca for a week in May. I was there for some legal formalities but stayed for a week with my wife to have a break. The hotel itself is nice - we had a family room for the extra space and that made it more comfortable. The rooms have (almost) blackout curtains and soundproof windows that keep out the traffic noise, apart from souped up car exhausts and unsilenced motorbikes (common in Greece and Cyprus). As for facilities there is a good sized, outdoor swimming pool and and OK gym (to be honest it could be bigger and have more equipment, but it is usable). The restaurant is good - I have to say the breakfast was one of the nicest hotel breakfasts I have had in years. We also lunch and dinner there sometimes and these were good. They staff were always willing to help and accommodate as we are gluten free. That brings me to the main point why I give a 5 star rating - the staff. All of them are brilliant, and they make staying there a really great experience. Not all 5 star chains have such great staff - they are genuinely warm and friendly, in a very Cypriot way. While it is a little unfair to call some out, I have to mention Maria from Guest Relations and Irene from the restaurant. Maria went out of her way to make sure we were happy - helping us to get a room on a higher floor and sending maintenance quickly for any issues. Irene was warm Cypriot hospitality itself - making sure we got what food we wanted and adding some treats. I have travelled a lot and this is one of the best sets of staff I have met. I need to go back later in the year, and although I could go to a beach resort I will be coming back here to among "friends".
• petebkk (10/5): Very solid hotel - We stayed here for a few nights in May. Hotel is in excellent shape, room was lovely, and staff were fantastic. Sushi in the hotel restaurant surprisingly good!

• Matan (8/5): Very comfortable rooms, the facilities are just fine... - The location is good, a few blocks from the sea, about half an hour from the airport (in the center of the city). The room was *amazingly* big, maybe the largest one I had in my life in an hotel. The restaurants were alright and and the staff members were really nice. The pool is quite small and not heated up, so during the winter it's absolutely unusable. Even during the summer I'm afraid it will be too small for most people who would actually like to swim. In addition to that, when we went to the Sauna's area there was no staff there although we came during the opening hours. After we found the relevant staff member, she told us we would have to wait for about half an hour so the facility can warm up. Unfortunately even after an hour the Sauna wasn't warm enough to enjoy it, so we had to skip it.

• NWC3561WP (8/5): Good can do better - I booked with friends 4 nights and had free upgrades to family rooms although unnecessary for 3 individuals. My friend is marrying a Cypriot lady in September and have chosen here for the wedding night and some of the 300 guests to stay! Our trip from the UK was to check out the hotel having booked 7 nights and to plan the weeks events in Cyprus. We all wish to thank Maria in guest services, Ivan on reception for their personalised services. Theodore office manager for resolving a number of disapointments, Irene in breakfast (wish you a restful retirement, Ilian (possibly miss spelt, apologies) the Bar Tender with his super knowledge and passionate service and Pedro's food and beverage manager, Maria again for their outstanding care and support during our planning visit. These key members of the team at Radisson Blu were a pleasure to meet and an asset. We know that Maria and Pedro's is looking forward to seeing us in September. Better hold your promises! The hotel is well maintained and safe compared to others in the area. Safety is a consideration many guests forget, but I dont. The rooms are presentable, there is a nice smell throughout the hotel ( must be that aftershave! Inside joke, sorry readers!) And as far as I know the facilities all worked. The food is up and down although some dishes were outstanding and believe there are options for everyone. As Theodore and Maria have listened and now presenting my concerns to the management, I felt it was only right not to mention them in here. If I see anything in September not resolved then I wont hesitate to express further. Overall a good hotel that im genuinely looking forward to returning too in September. As an established member in two, 5 star highly respected hotels with spas in London and a wide experience across the UK and abroad it is my opinion it is not meeting expectations for the price but I believe with adjustments it has a potential. Ive not had the best experience in Radission Hotels UK but I can see that attention to detail and customer service is a strength the general manager here appears to focus on but can do better in the areas ive highlighted during our stay. We thank you again and look forward to seeing you in September

From the moment I arrived, the attention to detail stood out—being welcomed with a personalized handwritten note and a beautifully presented sweet treat in my room was such a thoughtful touch that immediately made me feel valued as a guest. The hotel itself is modern, elegant, and very well maintained. One of the highlights was definitely the rooftop pool area—peaceful, spotless, and offering stunning views under the bright Cyprus sun. It’s the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and take in the scenery. Inside, the décor is stylish and refined, with artistic touches that give the space character without feeling overwhelming. Everything feels carefully curated and high-end. Service throughout my stay was excellent—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. It’s clear the staff genuinely care about creating a memorable experience. Overall, this was a luxurious and comfortable stay with thoughtful extras that made all the difference. I would absolutely recommend it and look forward to returning.

• Zigett (6/5): Not the best location - This is a modern hotel in a poor location with no beach or decent restaurants within a short walking distance...you really need a car or be willing to walk 30mins to get to the old town. We were upgraded to large corner suite which was clean and relatively spacious albeit it was a very strange layout with a large bathroom separating the bedroom and dining room (i.e. you had to walk through the bathroom to get to the bedroom). There was also no door between the bedroom and bathroom. The suite did come with a second toilet, large balcony with city views, coffee machine, slippers and robes. The hotel has a large outdoor pool (which was closed for the season when we arrived), sauna, steam room and a good size gym. Food at the restaurant adjacent to the lobby was mediocre as was breakfast...the egg station was the highlight with the chef making an excellent avocado on toast with poached eggs. Overall, this was by far our least favourite hotel during our trip to Cyprus.

Κατεβήκαμε 15 λεπτά πριν κλείσει η ώρα του πρωινού, ενώ στεκόμουν για να σερβιριστω ο υπεύθυνος (φαντάζομαι) μάζευε μπροστα μου τα κουταλιά πριν καν σερβιριστω!Ζήτησα να μου πουν από που μπορώ να σερβιριστω καφέ ή απάντηση που πήρα ήταν (εκλεισαμε τις μηχαναες) Και εδω έρχεται η λαϊκή ρήση "η λεπτομέρεια κάνει την διαφορα".Να σκουπιζει η αλλη κοπελα διπλα μας οπως τρωγαμε, να ακουμε τους υπαλλήλους να μιλανε μεταξύ τους πως περασαν την προηγούμενη νυχτα..Είναι η 3η φορά που επιλέξαμε το RB και η τελευταία..Και θα κλείσω με τα συγχαρητήρια μας στην κοπέλα στην reception ονόματος Μαρίας,για τον τρόπο που διαχειρίστηκε το παράπονο μας!Μακάρι όλα τα ξενοδοχεία να έχουν στην δουλέψει τους ανθρώπους με τέτοια διαχείριση λόγου!

But in general hotel is very high class

• ANDELA (7/5): Great hotel, but disappointing staff performance☹️ - Beautiful hotel , nice rooms with comfortable beds and big showers. Housekeeping did not clean our room for two days, even though we had the green light on. We had to call reception before the room was finally cleaned. We were also staying for our wedding, but aside from one staff member the taller girl in the breakfast restaurant no one really paid attention to our requests. I even sent an email in advance, but it seems it was ignored. Reception and guest services need to pay more attention to guests celebrating special occasions. Overall, the service was poor, with very little effort shown. The only positive experience was with the smiling girl in the restaurant and the workers there , they was very polite and kind. Reception staff barely greeted us, and the same applies to the girl at the nearby desk all the time with her phone talking and not give attention to the customers. Overall hotel is great but the staff is poorly trained.
