Flott veranda med utsikt mot havet og beliggenhet ved havet.
Gode senger. Praktisk kjøkken. Pent og stilfullt interiør.

- Cecilie (10/5): - We had a lovely stay as a family of three. The balcony and the view are fantastic, and we loved being able to walk straight from the balcony down to the beach. Great facilities, and the kitchen has been updated since the photos were taken. We’d love to come back 🤗

- Rose (10/5): This is an absolutely beautiful home in a beautiful location. Highly recommended! - The home was beautiful, clean, in an amazing location with amazing views. We wish we were able to spend more time on the deck overlooking the water but we had plans every day. The beds were comfortable for all five of us in three different sleeping rooms. There was another single bed that we did not use so room for 6. Two baths and only one shower but with plenty of hot water. We are a tall bunch, so had to watch our heads in a few places but that added to the charm of this place. We took water taxi from the main port to the Kimini port and it was a short walk to the house with our luggage.
It was a perfect location on this beautiful island. The ONLY negative was the communication from Host leading up to the stay. We arrived without arrival instructions but luckily we knew a local because we were there for a wedding and he made a call to the host who told us where we could find the key. Once that connection was made, the Host was very accommodating and everything was smooth and easy.
- Whitney (10/5): - An absolutely wonderful Location
- Gitte Dehn (10/5): Such a dream. - The most beautiful little house (people stopping to take photos of it) in a perfect 20 min walking distance to the central Hydra town, i.e. away from the buzz, with 180-sea view, and very sweet owner. Our highest recommendation.
- T (10/5): Beautiful house straight onto the sea, quiet with beautiful views. - Amazing location, beautiful terrace to enjoy the views. A stones throw from the sea and still close to restaurants and shops but away from the noise of bustle of the main port. Beautiful views from the bedroom looking straight out at the sea. Nothing, it was perfect for us
- Sébastien (7/5): Amazing location but not extremely comfortable. - Location is fantastic. Gorgeous terrace with superb view despite the electrical pole standing right in the middle of it. Apart from that, the house is very cute but very small ideal for a couple. Design far from optimal (lots of unnecessary steps, poorly insulated walls, only one bathroom not accessible from the inside of the house…). Beware that there is a bug on Booking’s website as we booked for 3 and were asked for a supplement since the confirmation came out for 2 only… The total plus taxes was almost 10% of the initial price. Booking customer service was useless, basically dismissing our claim and not even answering our second message…
Mediocre internet connection that doesn’t really allow to work remotely.
- Marie (7/5): Overall the house was of great value and very charming - The location of the house by the sea was the highlight of our stay. It is only a nice 20min walk to town or a 5min by boat The beds are tiny for adults
- Mariana (10/5): Would love to go again as it was a wonderful experience. - Everything was wonderful. Better contact with host as we forgot some clothing but never got feedback.
- Jean-christophe (9/5): Superb - The terrace is the masterpiece of this beautiful fisherman house. Incredible and fantastic experience!!
The house access is easy, with no slope to reach it.
Very clean. The kitchen equipment could be a little bit improved.
- Geert (10/5): Enchanting little paradise, close to the Leonard Cohen memorial. -
- Katie (5/5): Hydra is a beautiful island & we would return in a heart beat but we wouldn't stay at Sweet Home Lotus again. - Fabulous location. The terrace view was spectacular. We weren't expecting something luxurious but we came as part of a large group (for a wedding) & for the price we paid this was of a very poor standard. The kitchen was weird & poorly equipped. The bedrooms were cramped. We were initially asked to pay extra for beach towels, even though we didn't have more people staying than we booked. The host was rude & asked us to 'keep the place clean' even before we arrived & then complained when we left early.
- Rose (10/5): It was restorative,, thank you, - Had great charm, wonderful views of the sea, privacy and the house perfectly set up for outdoor and indoor living. Was met by Chara who was incredibly helpful throughout the stay. The kitchen sink, for those that cook and wash up, was rather fiddly, otherwise there was absolutely nothing I didn’t like about this property..
- Patrik (6/5): Ok, not more than that BUT Hydra is a wonderful Island - Very basic kitchen. A lot of things were looked (equipments etc). Not a very friendly welcome, no one showed up and met us and the contact person was aggressive when talking to her.
- Judie (7/5): Fantastic views but.... - We absolutely loved the views from the terrace. Just idyllic to watch the boats and sea. We loved being so nr the little beach of Kamini.
The two tavernas nearby were superb with great views of the fantastic sunsets. We were pretty near the Leonard Cohen memorial bench which was special to us and part of the reason we'd come to Hydra. Quite alot wasn't good lm afraid. Thankfully we were just a couple, if we'd have gone with friends we'd have fallen out over the choice of bedrooms! Ours was a lovely one with 3 windows over the front/sea. The 2 single beds had been made up as a double which was perfect. Or, it was a dark tiny double with a bed pushed up against the wall and a terrible window. (The single bed room would be fine for a child.) We didn't use the kitchen to cook, it was very odd and not user friendly. The shower was the worst room. My husband managed to secure the shower head to the wall bracket with tape so that helped. The shower curtain seemed cheap plastic and stained on hem edging. No where to put a washbag and very slippery once you stepped outside shower part. I truly hated it! The terrace was superb as mentioned but no shade. Despite there being a parasol stand, there was no umbrella for it. The villa is a long walk from the town but a very pleasant one, about 20 mins. We understood there was a shop nearby but after we arrived at the villa were told it had recently closed down. That can't be helped but it would have been nice to know that in a message before we'd left the town,
as we then had to haul ourselves back down and up again to buy bread, milk etc after a very long journey. (We were in contact with owner on WhatsApp in order to to meet woman who let us in, so a heads up on that would have been so helpful)
Others have described the villa as 'rustic' and l agree with that. We had read the description and reviews so weren't expecting 5* or anything! It was absolutely fine once you got used to it ....'m just saying what l felt wasn't that good.
- Veronica (2/5): We loved the location and the view but we were disappointed by the lack of basic facilities. - The view from the balcony was beautiful. However, location on its own is not enough for 8 day stay. You need to provide basic facilities. We were horrified to discover that the very very basic main bathroom was outside and you had to walk across the outdoor terrace to get to it. It was an outdoor bathroom, it was like camping and not so good to have to go out at night on the dark, or in the rain. There is no bath, even though it is advertised as having one.
The kitchen comprised a microwave and electric hot plate, no proper cooker. No washing machine or dishwasher. You could not cook a meal there.
This added to the feel of very basic camping.
We only found coffee and salt in the cupboards and one bottle of water.
There were 13 padlocks in the house, on the cupboards, trunks, wardrobes , locks in every room, even the china cabinet which is prominent in the photos. This made us feel that the owners did not trust anyone. Made us wonder why they were renting the house at all.
It looks lovely in the pictures but it is a very basic house and if you love the view and don't mind basic living it's for you.
Finally, it is not a beach front property, as advertised.
- Georgia (8/5): A SHORT BOOSTING VACATION WITH A BREATHTAKING VIEW!!! - I really enjoyed the fantastic breathtaking view of the place. The house was very close to the harbour. Generally we had a great time there!!! Chara, the cleaning lady welcomed and guided us straight to the house. Mr Dimitris the homeowner was also great and caring!!!
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (9/5): Gorgeous house in a beautiful location right next to the sea. - What a beautiful house in a perfect location. 15 mins walk from the centre of Hydra town, right on the coast path next to the sea. There is a little stoney beach 2 mins walk away, and you can swim off the rocks just in front of the house. The roof terrace is quite private. The Kitchen is quite basic, but that is part of its charm. The shower was broken, but usable. Don't expect 5* luxury!
- Eugenia (8/5): Very good -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dan (9/5): Superb -
- Beverley (9/5): lovely - in keeping with the wonders of Hydra - location - really close to the small beach of Killini
large sun terrace
rustic nature of the property
well equipped kitchen double room is rather cramped
- Dom (7/5): Good -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Die Lage und das Haus waren wunderbar. Einzig die Betten waren zu hart und unbequem.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A nostalgic taste of the Greek islands - The quiet location is perfect -placed between beaches and the port
