Guest Reviews
- Chidyiwa (7/5): Was a decent one night stay - Lovely gardens and ease access and self check in The kitchen sink was dirty! Like stains that have been there forever and it’s not a pleasant experience you get discouraged from using anything in it. Also we did not get keys to use the kitchen until we asked as it was not clear we should book it, on the booking it just states there is a communal kitchen so assumed access is a given.
Well may not be an issue for many but the place is opposite a gravesite😱 we are not superstitious or anything but it is a bit spooky and also a fairly busy road so you hear every car moving

- Marloes (10/5): accommodation is amazing and location is great! - Very friendly owner and staff. The villa is great, big and every thing is there. The garden is awesome and the pool is nice and big.
- Tamryn (10/5): -
- Shawn (10/5): Eden Studios is a true slice of paradise! - Our lovely, neat studio including small fridge and aircon (very much needed for the hot weather) overlooked a beautiful pool, which we spent most of the holiday in. Cam gave us a friendly welcome and invited us to join a concert in the garden by the dam - truly magical! We felt like we had a wonderful, relaxing, heavenly holiday here, and made some new friends - thank you so much! We will be back :) Nothing. Everything was perfect.
- Valerie (10/5): Fabulous stay with wonderful host and great pool - Lovely little ground floor room with the use of a communal kitchen if needed. The host Camilla was a lovely lady, gave us lots of information and even invited us to a family concert in her garden.
It’s about 15 mins walk into “town” where there are lots of quirky restaurants and shops
We loved our stay and will definitely be back Nothing
- Jeremy (10/5): - I liked the garden and access to the large pool
And our hosts were great
- Maricke (10/5): Very peaceful, perfect getaway from the busy city!
Big pool to cool you down and very central. - Very peaceful, perfect getaway from the busy city!
Big pool to cool you down and very central.
- Rushaana (1/5): The people make the place, people with ugly ways will make a beautiful looking place ugly - The host, Camilla, was rude and unhelpful. Making guests feel like they are a nuisance. Speaking to guests as if they are dumb. As if she knows better and is better. I had a very poor experience. I cut my stay short from 4 to 3 days. I wouldn't recommend this place. Because no matter how beautiful a place is, if you are made to feel like you are less than as a person, the place will always be ugly.
- Rushaana (1/5): People with ugly ways, will make a beautiful place ugly because the people makes the place - The host Camilla was rude and unwelcoming. Made us feel like we are dumb and that she knows better. Like we are inferior to her. I booked 2 rooms. We cut our stay short from 4 to 3 nights because we felt so uncomfortable and out of place. The worst experience I have ever had in all my travels, both abroad and locally. In my own country, this is shocking!
- Gianni (10/5): - What a calm little oasis right in the centre of Riebeek Kasteel. We had a lovely, peaceful weekend at Eden Studios. The pool and the gorgeous surrounding gardens were a highlight. Camilla made us feel right at home. Thank you xxx

- James Nel (10/5): Exceptional and memorable in every way! - The park-like garden is SO beautiful with a dam, fountains, birds, a gazebo, and so much more to enjoy! The hosts are super friendly and went above and beyond the extra mile to accommodate me. Highly recommended! There is nothing that I did not like. It was wonderful!
- Luke (10/5): -
- Ursula (8/5): Comfortable stay. - Convenient. Close to town. Friendly staff The unit was a bit old and outdated but the location is great
- Yolanda (9/5): - The location was great. The studio room had AC. The swimming pool was closed.
- MacKenzie (7/5): -
- Warren Sean (7/5): Despite the downsides, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Eden Studios. - Overall, I had a very positive experience. The location was excellent - close to where I was working, which made getting around incredibly convenient. The suite itself was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, making it easy to relax after long days. The premises are beautifully maintained and create a welcoming, peaceful atmosphere. I took it for granted that there would be a TV in the suite, as every other accommodation I stay at for work trips usually provides one. I hadn’t checked beforehand, and it turned out there was no TV - something they hadn’t advertised as included, so that was my oversight, though a bit disappointing nonetheless. Another downside was that the pool was closed for the entire week of my stay, which was a pity as it would have been a great way to unwind in the evenings.
- Ronald (7/5): - I love the gardens and the fountain it creates a nice atmosphere
- Petr (8/5): Nice pool, lovely rooms, spacious grounds, well-maintained, comfortable - Nice pool, lovely rooms, spacious grounds, well-maintained, comfortable

- Guy (1/5): Didn’t even stay there and booked somewhere else - Nothing at all Everything
- Jacobus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Riaan (10/5): such a great choice - Great property over all Security cameras alarms triggerd by trees and noisy during the night
- Johanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dan (7/5): Good -
- Gill (10/5): Eden Studios - Beautiful gardens which my dogs loved Bit of traffic noise
- Alistair (8/5): Very good -
- Visser (6/5): Good -
- Deirdre (9/5): Peaceful, restful and welcoming, helpful hosts. - The cottage is bright, overlooking the pool and a beautiful big garden where you can go for a walk and sit near a little lake.
The host was very welcoming and helpful. The bed was very comfortable; I'd prefer a heavier duvet/blanket.
Nice to have the host nearby. It was very quiet on the weekend but woken early by passing trucks on Monday; harvesting season, they said. Not the fault of the property :).
- Sandisa (8/5): Very good -
- Keith (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (9/5): We always stay at Eden Studio when visiting family in Riebeek Kasteel. - Great location and family feel.
- Marius (10/5): Perfect Eden - Camilla's welcome and hospitality; beautiful tranquil and serene surroundings; accommodation comfortable and generously equipped. The weekend was too short
- Patricia (9/5): Comfortable accommodation within an exceptional garden location. We really enjoyed the very large pool. - Beautiful location, very comfortable accommodation. Camilla our host went above and beyond to make sure we were welcome Nothing
- Leanne (8/5): Happy and comfortable. Welcoming and friendly hostess - Gardens, pool, secure parking, very comfortable XL bed. Towels too thin and nowhere to hang wet towels to dry.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pauline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alfred (10/5): Exceptional - The hospitality of Camilla and Bo, caring and supporting, always ready to give recommandations of what else to do and to explore, the beautifully maintained lush garden, the perfectly sized pool for an enviting swim before and after a hot day!
- Frank (10/5): hosts were super friendly, the gardens were so beautiful feels like eden -
- Hein (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (10/5): Eden, just like the name suggests - A fantastic location. Lots of space and quiet areas to sit in. Comfy bed. Really lovely hosts. Welcoming and very helpful. We can't wait to return.
- Julia (7/5): Lovely place and hostess but the presence of cats an unacceptable threat to my and others health. - Hostess was very helpful when we asked her to separate the double bed into two singles. The room was very clean and I loved the pool just outside our front door. There were cats roaming the property which is really unacceptable. I am highly allergic to cat fur and should I have come in contact with cat fur, the risk was that I could have a major asthma attack in the middle of the night. I have been hospitalised 3 times with serious cat induced asthma attacks. When I raised my concerns with Camille, she seem not to care about this and said “the cats live here”. However, the presence of cats on the property was not mentioned in the advert online on booking.com or any other website, which I think is very remiss. It’s equivalent to people with nut allergies not being informed the food they are eating has nuts in it. My cat allergy is life-threatening and I would never have booked this chalet had I know and there were cats on the property. Fortunately, Camille had personally cleaned the room and I believe the cat had not been in the room otherwise I would’ve known and reacted to it.
- Stemmet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melané (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elna (9/5): Superb -
- Sonja (8/5): Very good -
- Laurenruiters (10/5): Beautiful escape with the Olive Studio at Eden - Our stay at Eden Studios was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the warm and friendly hosts who went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience.
The small studio was beautifully designed—clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Despite its compact size, it felt cozy and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
One of the highlights was the amazing pool—a peaceful oasis where we could soak up the sun and take a refreshing dip whenever we pleased. It truly added to the luxury of our stay!
If you’re looking for a tranquil, well-maintained, and welcoming place to stay, I can’t recommend Eden Studios enough. Whether you're visiting for a short break or an extended stay, this is the perfect spot. We’ll definitely be back!
- Robyn (10/5): We will be back! - Incredible friendly and helpful host , both during the booking process and during our stay.
Magnificent swimming pool.
Beautiful green shady garden setting.
Aircon in bedrooms - Riebeck Kasteel was HOT.
Great venue for a group getaway.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - At Eden, the name truly says it all. This beautiful, well-maintained property features spacious grounds with charming cottages that provide a sense of privacy and your own space. The pool is fantastic, and there’s access to a shared kitchen and braai facilities. The two owners are incredibly friendly—they even took us on a little tour in her bakkie! If you’re looking for peace and relaxation away from the tourist crowds in the vineyards, this is the perfect place to stop.
- Gregersen (1/5): Deceptive listing. Be careful you don’t get the unit you book. - Not as described. We were offered a small cottage without air conditioning not what we booked. We were not offered a refund although the unit we booked was occupied. The owner was occupying the unit that we booked. They offered us a much smaller cottage without a pool or air conditioning. Not at all what we booked. We booked for 5 people the accommodation was unsuited so we had to find alternative accommodation without a refund on this booking.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kirsten (10/5): Eden in Eden Studios - Camilla and her husband were amazing hosts and gave great recommendations for surrounding places. Place is truly an Eden with all the plants, fruit trees, pond, fish, and the pool ! The hosts really made my stay extra special and went above and beyond!
- Shanna (10/5): Wonderfully beautiful home away from home - This really is the most beautiful property for a quiet time away. Suitable for families and couples. Camilla and Beau are the most amazing hosts. We cannot wait to return.
- Lester (10/5): Stay was excellent -
- Brenda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Boipelo (7/5): Good -
- Caroline (8/5): Quiet and relaxing, we felt very safe and it was a nice getaway from the city. - Very convenient. Excellent communication during the booking process over booking.com and whatsapp an dnoting was too mcuh trouble. Safe and secure. Pet friendly. Bottle of wine on arrival and ice in the freezer :-) Only comment was that there was not any normal tea in the room (I am a big tea drinker!).
- Green (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helmien (7/5): Good -
- Susanne (9/5): The perfect breakeaway hide for friends and family to enjoy Riebeek Kasteel - Great communication with the host from the outset. Really lovely setting in the garden. Dog friendly too, very central.. We were lucky that the weather held but otherwise it would not be able to all sit together indoors. So access to an indoor facility is something I will definitely look for next time when booking accomodation for 8 people..
- Ronelle (8/5): For our first visit to Riebeeck-Kasteel we were delighted! - Convenience. Pretty and peaceful. Well kitted out. Loved the heating as it was cold and rainy. No braai tools and no tools to clean the fireplace, or move coals. No lighting in the shower. Showerhead could be bigger for more body water coverage. No place to sit and dry hair at a mirror.
- Kallie (8/5): Very good -
- Jane (9/5): Superb - The friendly garden guy who met us, the beautiful garden, bright room, citrus body and hand wash, the easy access control oh and the heater! Not enough milk!! The towels were a bit on the thin side, could have been a bit fluffier
- Pergz91 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mauritz (8/5): Very good - We had a really comfortable stay at Eden. It is indeed beautiful and pristine and it does feel a bit like paradise! The rooms are comfortable, the bedding cozy and we had freshly ground coffee and a plunger in the room! I did miss two things: even though there was a huge sliding door that opens up to the magnificent pool, I wasn’t prepared to sleep with the door open. (Being from Gauteng and all that) I also missed a basin to do dishes in. We had a hearty braai each night and having dinner on the stoep felt like home.
- Dean (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (7/5): Great location and ambience for a very relaxing weekend. - The garden and setting were very tranquil . Beds were extremely comfortable and all facilities very clean. The hosts provided us with a great facility to make a braai as we requested. We had to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the other bedroom. Obviously not ideal. More braai equipment (tongs etc) should be made available.
- Mauleen (8/5): Beautiful spacious venue, well kept garden. - We missed a TV just for a bit of background.
- Jordaan (9/5): Superb -
- Janice (8/5): Very good - A tranquil beautiful garden setting surrounds the accommodation, enhancing your experience of just stepping away for a few nights. Exceptional hosts could not be more friendly or helpful with recommendations and reservations. It's definitely a place we would go back to!
- Vanessa (8/5): Very good -
- Conrad (10/5): Fantastic place for a weekend away - will be back - Great location and wonderful hosts Kitchenette facilities a bit limited but workable
- Marcelle (9/5): Superb - Direct access to the pool. Nicely decorated apartment and access to a small kitchen was great. Pool towels were provided and recommendations for local dining and massages was very helpful. It was very quiet so one could really relax. I think a small welcome snack or drink would be a good gesture, especially when arriving later or on a weekend day.
- Leisel (10/5): Beautiful setting, tranquil garden with pond filled with fish. Pool a blessing in the heat of summer. Highly recommended - Location was great. Stunning gardens and Camillia and her husband were amazing. They go above and beyond and all the little suggestions of restaurants, things to do etc. Added to our experience. The swimming pool was a bonus in the heat. We will definitely be back. There was nothing we did not like
- Victor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (10/5): Relaxing and lovely weekend away, we will definitely return to this facility with a big group. - Breakfast was not included but loved the location, the tranquility of the facility, stunning surrounds and the pool was a winner. Hosts were always available and friendly, will definitely be back. n/a
