- Griffol (9/5): Correspondait à mes attentes - Ambiance traditionnelle

- Finn (3/5): A typical rustic hotel. Did the job (just about). - Peaceful The door didn’t lock and the staff was unable to remedy it despite us being the only occupants. The car park was exposed just next to a main road leaving us concerned for our vehicle.
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Ross (5/5): No wi-fi, and no nearby restaurants. - The bed was terrific and the shower was decent. The hotel does not offer wi-fi, despite what it tells you on the site. I was offered breakfast via an email on Booking.com. I accepted this with gratitude, but the next morning I was told there was no breakfast available, as the bakery next door was shut. Very disappointing.
Further to this, on the night of arrival, there were no restaurants open in the town, so I had to get back on my motorcycle and ride to a nearby town in the pouring rain to find a restaurant.
I would not stay here again.
- Helen (5/5): Just about passable for one night but I wouldn't stay there again - We stayed for 1 night. Arrived at 9pm and left after breakfast
When we arrived, we thought it had closed down as all the shutters were down and we couldn't see any lights on.
The owner who greeted us was very pleasant and checked us in
The room as the rest of the hotel is very dated. It looks a lot nicer on the web site.
It was clean and the bed was comfortable enough.
Unfortunately the walls are paper thin and there was another guest talking on the phone at 3.30am for a very long time that disturbed our sleep. I couldn't wait to check out.
The breakfast was fine breads, jams, yoghurt and coffee for 7.40 euros each served by a very pleasant lady Very dated hotel and noisy. Nowhere to put your clothes and no hairdryer
- Verified traveler (8/5): - For the price, this property is great. I wouldn't take my family on vacation here, but for 1 night passing through, it checked all the boxes.
Though the hotel itself and all its furnishings are very dated, everything was perfectly clean. The bathtub, toilet, flooring, etc. were all likely from the 1960's but their cleaning staff does a great job and I was not bothered by the fact that things were old.
Some downsides: No AC, internet didn't work in our room, TV is very small, no elevator (and skinny staircase).
Upsides: Clean, lovely breakfast, very reasonable price.
Of note: There is no staff on site after 8pm. We weren't arriving until late so we called the hotel (luckily my husband and I both speak French. If you don't, this may be tricky for you) and they said if we called the day of our check in before 8pm they would give us the door code to get in the building and leave us our room key by the front desk. We were a bit nervous about actually being able to work this out the night of check in and the risk of being left without a place to stay but it all ended up working out. The staff was very nice but as it is a very small hotel in a small town, don't expect a full concierge service here.
