Guest Reviews
- Suzanne (4/5): - The site is advertised with a bar and play area for children, it has neither, the shop is merely a large shed and the regular pitches need maintaining as they make the area very scruffy, (naked mannequins outside, really)!
Overall, will not be going back and wouldnt reccomend.
- Joanna (10/5): - Martin welcomed us and was friendly. You could see the team work hard to maintain the showers for so many people and the tent was peaceful and dark at night aiding restful sleep. It has lovely views and so many places to visit with easy driving distance. Great stay for families
- Stephen (8/5): - Not bad site we was out of season so a big bonus tents close to get but only ones there so not a problem toilets showers clean modern new and allocation to one person only which was great
- Andrea (8/5): Bell tents perfect for a weekend away - Lovely bell tents perfect for a weekend away
- Hayley (6/5): Bell tent stay. - We were unlucky with the weather so there was rain which dripped on to our bedding (bell tent) and the road in and out of the camp were clay mud making it tricky to move the car. The pitches were lovely but very close to one another. Quite a trek to the loos and showers (which were cold water in the am). However, they were clean. Seemed lots of long-standing residential camping with plots not always well maintained. The location makes this campsite. The fire pit is also a lovely addition.
- Lisa (10/5): Gem of a campsite - Beautiful location with good amenities and easy access into the town. Short drive to studland beaches. A good, well-stocked shop with friendly staff. Refreshments/food good and good value.
The Glamping tents are comfortable and had plenty of room for me and my three children.
Would definitely go back and would recommend.
- louise (8/5): - Stay was good, great tents, fire pit, staff, shop, location, unfortunately noisy neighbours 2 nights, showers were not clean when we went to use them at 5ish on the 3 days we stayed.
- Steven (8/5): Quirky little place - Allowed early check in and late check out, most staff really friendly. 1 older fella bit abrupt.
Breakfast is not available on a Sunday morning!
Showers majority were clean, but took a good 15/20 mins to get warmish water to come through, Toilets were clean not place fault, if people can’t flush a chain. My only 2 major issues were noise and there’s no safe, quick, easy access to toilets, from bell tents. Maybe need a set of toilets putting up there. I was a little miffed that the kids play area wasn’t open and not informed. Apart from that alls good
- Steve (8/5): Nice Swanage Bell Tent - comfy air beds, we had two doubles. toilet blocks cleaned daily, bacon sandwich at the cafe all good. Short walk to swanage 1.5 miles easy walking, for restuarants. We used this as a base for walking. All you need.
- Dean (6/5): A Yurty Weekend Away - Bear in mind, we don’t usually go camping so i don’t have much of a point of reference…easy check in; basic, not too clean yurt but with a plug socket. Bathrooms not particularly clean (but I guess other users didn’t clean up after they finished). A good 30 min walk from the seafront.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not Glamping - Not glamping! Very disappointing- nearest toilets were filthy, showers sectioned off and not cleaned once in the five days we were there.
- D G (8/5): Good camping trip - Overall good camping trip. Pretty site and clean. Showers no water pressure. No recycling bins - shocking for such a large site. Need to bring cooking equipment and all utensils - not necessarily clear
- Charlie (8/5): - All good but wish bar had been open as food served later into the evening . Assume covid restricted .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location, the views, we were next to the horse field and had a great view of the steam train running through! So peaceful and close to amenities. Very friendly staff
- Noveen (10/5): - Stayed in two bell tents which were spacious. Plenty of wood provided for fire pit for two nights. Cold at night need one under one over duvets or warm sleeping bags for 11 degrees
