• Bas (9/5): Heerlijk verblijf gehad! - Zeer goede ligging voor de Westweg. Aardige host, prima basis kamer waar alles is wat je nodig hebt. Goed restaurant en goed ontbijt. We hebben gebruik gemaakt van de sauna na een dag wandelen in de regen, dat was perfect. Kamer zijn een beetje oud/versleten maar heb wel goed geslapen.

• Natalia (7/5): It is nice, but has points for improvement - Nice location, very silent and beautiful. Friendly staff. The restaurant offers several meals which are quite tasty. The view from the room was amazing, it was clean and had lots of space. The pillows are bad. Impossible to sleep, they get so flat, almost disappear on the bed. The soundproofing could be better. You hear everything your neighbors talk about and if there’s someone above your room - you hear every step which is super annoying. The breakfast was good, but missing vegetables. There were no vegetables at all.

• MARIA DEL MAR (8/5): - Ubicacion de dificil acceso pero con enclave singular por su belleza, merece la pena. Habitacion doble familiar compartida con baño incompleto en una de ellas.
• Dimitri (10/5): Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen 🙂 - Die Lage ist einmalig. Der Gasthof befindet sich auf fast 2000 Metern Höhe über NN und ist das einzige Gebäude im Umkreis von etwa 10 Kilometer. Die Abgeschiedenheit und die Panorama garantieren die 100-prozentige Erholung. Die Berge, die Aussicht, die frische Luft und die Klänge der grasenden Kühen versetzen dich in den Zustand der Ruhe und Gelassenheit. Das Personal ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind sauber und hell. Zum Frühstück haben wir uns bisschen mehr Auswahl gewünscht. Zum Beispiel gab es keinen gebratenen Speck zum Rührei. Ein paar Salaten wäre nicht schlecht. Im Winter gibt es laut Beschreibung keine Möglichkeit das Hotel zu erreichen und das ist sehr schade.

• Petra (6/5): Schöne Hütte mit guten Essen, aber leider veralteten Zimmern. - Die Lage. Das alte Zimmer mit durchgelegener Matratze. In der Toilette fiel bereits eine Fliese von der Wand.
• Dirk (10/5): - Toll, toll, toll ... Tolles Team! Toller Service! Tolle Lage! Das Team war so freundlich und hilfsbereit wie man es selten erlebt - vielen Dank für die besonders erholsame Zeit "auf der Hütte" !! ... das wir nicht die Zeit hatten, noch um eine weitere Übernachtung zu verlängern!
• Huck (7/5): "Bad" nicht vorhanden wie vorgestellt. - Die Lage, der Service, das Essen, die Aussicht. Unter dem Begriff "Bad" bei der Ausstattung des Zimmers, haben wir uns einen geschlossenen Raum vorgestellt. Das war nicht so. Es war nur eine Nische mit Dusche und Waschbecken. Das Zimmer war nicht staubfrei. Aus dem Abfluss im Bad kam Schmutz hoch beim duschen. Betten waren zu weich. Zimmer war zu teuer.

Optimale Bedingungen, um nach und vor Traum-Wanderungen mit unserer Gruppe nun schon zum dritten Mal einen sehr geselligen Abend am Massivholztisch mit leckeren Speisen und dann eine rundum erholsame Nacht verbringen durften. • Annette (8/5): Tolle Aussicht mit leckerem Essen an frischer Höhenluft - Super Lage - toller Ausblick von der Terasse. Wer die Natur und freie Sicht mag, ist hier richtig! Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen - und bestens bedient. Ein idealer Ort für einen Kurzaufenthalt in der Höhe. Das Zimmer und insbesondere die Qualität des Bettes ist einfach - für ein oder zwei Nächte aber ausreichend.

• Simon (10/5): Favourite on Westweg - My favourite stay on the Westweg. A lovely unspoiled spot, a few hundred meters down from the top. I loved the quirky aspect of the room layout, and the place is not brand new but very comfy and clean.The room was plenty big enough with a balcony and views. The food was hearty (vegetarian and vegan), nice cold beers, all enjoyed on a terrace with stunning views down the valley. The staff were really helpful and friendly. 10 out 10 :-) Another great touch, was when the staff went off shift, we were very welcome to keep pouring drinks and settle up in the morning. Thank you all.
• Michael (9/5): Nice place to stay - Amazing quiet location up high in the hills with plenty of easy parking. Food was very good, evening meal and breakfast. The staff were also very friendly and obliging. Great views all around. Access to a sauna for free was good. Our bathroom was separate, but it was solely for us, so it's not so bad.

• Khrystyna (9/5): Superb - This place is absolutely gorgeous, the stuff is super friendly and helpful, breakfast is more than enough to feel full for couple of hours, besides you can have lunch and dinner there, with amazing selection of beer and other alcohol to chill. They have amazing covered terrace where you can admire the sunset. Not to mention the fireplace in the main dining area, the day we checked out, I couldn't imagine anything more romantic then having breakfast in warm and cozy place, having snowstorm outside. This place is absolutely a must come! You have to be ready to walk there if the weather is snowy, the road is tricky and dangerous, we were lucky to have a nice weather going there, so we managed to drive. The owner will let you know about the road conditions before the check in date) And there are no toiletries except soap. But it's fine cause I always bring mine, just keep that in mind)

Perfect view. We would have loved to have a coffee station in the apartment but other than that it was wonderful.

• Norman (10/5): Hut life is the best life at the Todtnauer Hut. - This is nearly at the top of the Feldberg, the highest point in the Black Forest - It's a magnificent location to get away from everything. And the staff, well, you couldn't meet a nicer group of people wanting to serve you. Fanstatic. The evening meals finish at 1830 (approx, see comment about fantastic service). Just be aware of this, if you want to eat at the hut (and the food is good!)

Desert is a great point The bathroom and the bedroom were separated and only acessible throught the common area. We were not aware of this fact when we did the booking. The matress was too soft.

• Kellie (10/5): Perfect escape! - The staff was amazing. I think she was the owner but she was so bubbly and warm. Very kind and took the time for us. Personable. Many of the meals were made up of the thick noodles which yes…..it’s Germany……but very, very heavy. But it was German good in Germany! 🤷🏼‍♀️

• Sam (10/5): Slice of Heaven - This Hütte was way beyond what we expected. I'll start with the staff. We were running late for check-in and the rest of our party was running even later. Our hostess, Branka was so fantastic! She waited for us to arrive to welcome us and even waited way later than was necessary just to welcome the rest of our party. The next morning she and her husband had a wonderful breakfast ready for us and the other guests (by the way, the eggs were the best we have had anywhere). Branka was so hospitable and made sure every detail was covered. After a day of fun on the mountain coaster (Todtnau) and exploring the area we returned for dinner. We were able to meet more of the wonderful staff. Jerko was our host for dinner and was also fantastic. He was super personable and spent time answering all of our questions, including the history of the Hütte. The facilities themselves were of a good age (well over 100 years old) but have been kept in great condition. They were super clean and very well cared for. The location was quite breathtaking. The Hütte sits nearly at the top of the mountain and has views for days. It is a bit remote but that is what made it so amazing. There are so many places to hike and explore right out of the front door. This is now one of our new most favorite places in the world. We can't wait to return for our next adventure. Thank you Branka, Jerko and the rest of the wonderful folks who make the Berggasthof zur Todtnauer Hütte a little slice of heaven!

Also the amazing proprietor remembered my drink order after the first day

• Chochi_cz (9/5): Great place I can only recommend - very friendly staff, cool location - for the view and for starting the tracks, great breakfast, big room with big shower, hot water with good pressure, good heating, nice balcony and view the mattresses were past their best day, food selection for the evening is quite limited - it is ok if you pass the cottage on a day trip, but if you stay more nights it's getting difficult (especially if you have kids_ ... then you need to drive to next village

• Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional - We were riding the Gipfeltrail with mtb. This hotel was our first stop, we started from Neustadt. It is on the route and it is all you want and need. Breakfast with a nice fire place. The room is large with balcony, the shower is big enough for 2, the view is beautiful and the staff is more than great. Nothing, it is more than great!

• Janneke (7/5): Nice quiet place - The views are so beautiful in the morning and evening. There is no traffic, no noise, only the bells of the cows. Very relaxing place. The menu of the cafe/restaurant is very minimum.
