Guest Reviews
- Yvonne (10/5): -
- John (7/5): Had a good time - Didn't serve breakfast
- Rrika (10/5): -
- Werner (8/5): still very pleasant and quiet - size of rooms and state of the art fitout sheets with synthetic fibers makes it uncomfortable to sleep
- Mahesh Kumar (10/5): - Scenic view of mount shashta just in fron of the patio with great gold experience
- Henry (8/5): - Well appointed rooms Some areas outside could use more attention dealing with litter
- Morris (10/5): -
- Michael (8/5): - An amazing view of Mount Shasta from the balcony. The condos are situated about 15 degrees off from the mountain otherwise you would have a view from the sofa (the architect should have considered that a bit better). The golf course restaurant has decent food options and we are there for both dinner and breakfast. Servers are nice.
We enjoyed being a bit off the beaten path and this non conventional accommodation was nice.
There was some confusion on check-in. A simple email wokls have been appreciated to let us know that the check in window is only from 3-5pm and nobody would be there after 5. Fortunately, they just left the keys on the front door of the office, but that wasn’t made clear in the check-in instructions that make you think you’re SOL if you show up outside the 2 check in hour check in window. Check out was the same, just leave the keys on the clip on the office door.
Oh and don’t expect to be able to do anything using their WiFi, it’s spotty and keeps dropping and the password stops working for a while.
Despite the little things, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place if you are looking for something north of the town of Shasta.
- Jesse (8/5): - Ground were not maintained but the apartment was new and clean.
Pool has not worked in years from what we saw and not open.
- Brandi (10/5): - Everything was wonderful the views were breathtaking. It was quiet and clean.
- Marc (8/5): - I liked the newly renovated condo. It was clean and smelled great. What I didn't like is that we couldn't use the pool.
- Michele (8/5): - Nice condo on the golf course. It lacked having dishes, cups, silverware for simple needs.
- Rai (9/5): Weel stayed weekend Getaway - The view from the property was amazing. We woke up to the giant Mt. Shasta view.
The property was spacious with all the amenities in it. We reached quite late to the location and that too on 4th but we had no problem in getting our keys.
All n all the stay was amazing
- Robert (5/5): Convenient location for a trip from the Bay Area to destinations farther north. - The location was good with view of Mount Shasta. Restaurant on the grounds. Had a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen-living room. The lighting was dim except for the bath room. Bed made a weird crunchy noise whenever I rolled over or got into or out of bed. No seating on the deck. Kitchen was sparsely appointed.
- Kristi (4/5): - The unit was clean. It was old and rundown. The bathroom overhead light didn’t work. Trouble with the deadbolt lock on front door. Old appliances. Not enough overhead lights. Pillows were awful. We couldn’t wait to leave.
- Sarah (10/5): - Great location on property. Very convenient and newly renovated.
- Hollis (10/5): - Absolutely lovely! The condo was clean & nice, the area was beautiful & quiet. There was a keurig, fridge, & dishes. Beds were super comfy we slept very well! Cell reception was a bit spotty but didn't bother us. Lots of birds & nature in the area. Wonderful sunsets & views of Mt shasta as well!
- Ken (10/5): Exceptional -
- Temple (10/5): Would definitely stay here again. - The location was easy to find. The condo was clean and modern. The front desk staff was kind and the golf course was in good shape. The
- Wendy (10/5): 115 - Very relaxing and comfortable accommodations. Restaurant on property is wonderful.
- Laura (6/5): - Beautiful view of Mount Shasta and the golf course.
Units were clean and need to be updated, floors in living room area are very creaky. Kitchenette worked well for our needs.
- Jennifer (8/5): Great - Clean Dated
- Garry (10/5): - We enjoyed the serenity and great views. The property is dated but comfortable and all the people we met were very friendly. Loved the golf course too. We're looking forward to another trip.
- Maree (8/5): Very good -
- Judith (5/5): Great view, dated apartment - Great view A/C was out. We couldn’t sleep due to heat first night. As we left early in the morning and returned late, we never connected with anyone about the issue so it was 3 hot days with unscreened doors open. I got mosquito bites.
Apartments are quite dated and in need of renovation. TV was tiny and placed far away. Unable to figure out programming.
- Frederick (8/5): - One thing that struck me a little odd was the way they had the keys set up for your stay. I won’t say anymore because it’s just odd.
- Frederick (8/5): - Our condo was right on the driving range with a fabulous view of Mount Shasta and Shastina however, it’s a little hard to feel comfortable sitting out on the patio or the deck when golf balls are whizzing by and you look at the siding and it’s got chunks out of it The furnishings are a little dated, but very functional and comfortable. They were great about coming in and cleaning up every day and making beds. It was good. Just a few minor things that should be aware of when you go stay there.
- Wu (1/5): Not recommended. The staffs were not reliable. - 1. The office says check-in was before 17:00, but when we arrived there at 16:30 there was nobody. They left us the keys to 1 room in front of the office, but actually we booked 2. We had to wait 30 minutes for them to come and gave us another set of keys.
2. We found out there was no hot water around 22:30 that there was no hot water in one of our booked condos. We messaged them about this with the desire to take a shower after a long day hike. The staff said they would “send someone to fix it tomorrow”. We stayed here because we wanted to take a shower to clean our dirts and sweats, and they did not even try to fix it as soon as possible or offer to change a room. That was ridiculous
- Katharine (8/5): - Very nice condo! Just refurbished with all the latest updates. Beautiful view of Mt Shasta. The golf course was lovely too. Nice clubhouse with lots of options for dinner.
- Flor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rekha (10/5): - Lovely views
- Emil (9/5): Fantastic stay with incredible views - Location, location and location! View of the mouth Shasta is the gem of this place. Had a strong country-side feeling of a cottage house. Had a great morning read on the balcony overlooking the mountain. Enjoyed hiking the lake and seeing some deer. Met some wonderful and friendly neighbours. Feels slightly dated in some areas as it is an older golf resort.
- Tina (10/5): - Clean, comfortable, quiet. Nicely remodeled
- Kerrickjames (8/5): restaurant was good nice staff. - they are updating the property, our guest was in a new remodeled room very pretty, we were in an older room that needed to be updated. View to Mt Shasta was right on our back patio. Room was old and needed remodeling. They need to offer pads for the hard beds.
- DIAN (10/5): - Super clean, wood floor, upscale room, cozy!
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Linda (10/5): Great Scenery! - Great golfing experience.
- Moshe (8/5): Big comfy room - Big room. All amenities are working
- Dale (8/5): Very good -
- Wilson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Michele (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristol (5/5): If you're a golfer, you may be happy here. - When someone from the property called me while en route to CA from WA, she was very friendly and cheery. The location, while not convenient to anything, was great for quiet enjoyment of the scenery. Beautiful views and close to Lake Shastina to make exploring easy. We booked here because of the swimming pool and location near a lake. The deck overlooking the driving range was a benefit, but the rotting railing made us leery. We arrived in the evening and our key was stuck to a door with a unit number written on it with my name. The unit wasn't clean and the smell of Febreze was so strong, we had to open the slider to the deck to air out the unit any time we were there. When we sat on the couch, a dust cloud of, um, something, came out of it that then triggered an asthma attack. The unit is really dated, and the walls had scars from things that used to hang there. The bathroom door is an old pocket door that is worn out. It was very difficult to close the door for privacy. Lastly, having booked here specifically because it seemed to have a nice pool and we thought it wouldn't be as crowded as somewhere in town- it was really disappointing to receive a message from the property a few days before our trip saying that they had to close the pool for the season early for maintenance issues. Unrelated to the property itself but an issue getting to and from it: We stayed during a few days of on again/off again rainstorms, which made for beautiful skies, but also heralded a massive frog crossing along the roads leading to and from the property. Literally thousands of frogs crossing the road, mostly in the evening, but some by daylight too led to both sad and somewhat treacherous driving.
We DID try to talk to someone in person in the office about all of these issues, however, the office has very limited open hours. There are three names and phone numbers posted on the office door if needs arise. We didn't see anything serious enough to call, but would have liked to discuss our issues in person. Long story short: we wish we'd booked elsewhere.
- Gary (10/5): - Had a view of the Mount Shasta from my room
- Burk (7/5): Absolutely amazing location and views, the most affordable stay in Weed/Mt Shasta that has an unobstructed view of t - AMAZING location! Can’t beat the views, Mt Shasta super clear and magnificent from the living room and balcony. Very small, couch is not a pullout, so sleeps 6 is not accurate. We had 1 sleeping on the floor….
- Steven (8/5): - Older units but nice, clean, I would stay here again.
- William (10/5): - 8 miles from Weed, super property with amazing view from patio/balcony of Mt Shasta. The cafe serves the best pizzas 💥
- Susannah (2/5): I had a nightmare and didn’t know if I was dreaming. - Beautiful view. But totally run down awful accommodation. Totally run down, inadequate facility. Dirty, smells of smoke, inadequate bedding and pillows.
- Bruce (3/5): Boring - Nothing Old…needs to be remodeled.
- Debbie (10/5): - Course is beautiful. Condos are clean and the staff at the bar/restaurant are wonderful. Wish i could have stayed longer!
- Teo (7/5): Good -
- Joshua (7/5): The over all property gave a good camp vibes. I’m not a golfer but I did see a lot of people golfing upon arrival and wi - The properties location was nice. Our exit was about 4-5 exits off the 5 to get too the town of Shasta. The interior of the property was a little out dated. Modernization of the interior of the property would be amazing.
- Joe (6/5): - We have stayed here many times. Understanding that out stay was during a time that was 90's, the air conditioner was turned on by myself at 430pm and didnt catch up until 1000pm.
Several light switches didnt not work.
Only two towels.
- Gloria (10/5): Lake Shastina Golf Resort - The office was closed upon arrival but my envelope with my name and condo # was on the clipboard a map was available to see where all the addresses, they thought of everything. The place was fine for everything I needed it to be for a quick trip with family.
- Cyy (10/5): Exceptional - every thing the beds are warm
- Sudduth (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Bhaskar (9/5): Superb - Location
- Himanshu (10/5): - Everything was upto mark but no clear way to communicate with the property staff to get anything specific to your needs.
- Venugopal (4/5): - Please ask for good room the room that was given for our one night has issues with AC
- Yu (10/5): - The best part is the view of Mt Shasta.
- Robert (10/5): perfect location for what I wanted (night photography of Mount Shasta). Comfotable. - loved the condo, amenities were great, including stove, refrigerator, microwave, TV. Deck with view of Mount Shasta. on grounds cafe not open for breakfast.
- Amanda (7/5): Good - The location was absolutely stunning and the view of Mt. Shasta was awesome. It was also down the street from my best friends house, whom I was visiting, so I'll be staying again next time. Little apartments were quiet and I didn't hear any of my neighbors at any time. As a woman staying there on my own, I didn't like that my keys were just hanging on the door for anyone to take. I never met with a receptionist or talked to anyone that worked at the facility the entire time. I'm sure the seclusion played into my fears a bit but it honestly felt like the beginning of a horror story. I would have felt safer having my keys given to me in the check in process.
- Roxana (10/5): - Nice peaceful place and much relaxation.
The amenities was a plus and could cook a nice dinner and enjoy the beautiful view.
- Cynthia (8/5): Very good - The location was excelente The facility was in need of some maintenance
- Paul (10/5): Wonderful getaway - We had a very nice stay. 1BR 1BA condo fully furnished with kitchen utensils, linens, bath towels and dish network TV, all to ourselves.
- Rahul (8/5): Very good -
- Sean (5/5): Passable - The location was great for us, visiting family. The unit #107 was very dated. The toilet ran all night and the shower door would not stay shut. Counted at least 2 light bulbs that were out. No decorating throughout unit, whatsoever.
- Craig (10/5): - Golfing and the course were fun stay right on the driving range in a cabin and loved it
- Kevin (7/5): Good -
- Elizabeth (5/5): Passable -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arlene (4/5): Disappointing -
- Travelingpour (8/5): Very good -
- Deibys (10/5): Exceptional - We got there late in the evening, and I was worry not to get the keys on time, but for my surprise keys were on a brown envelope by the Office door with my name and room number.
Thank you very much.
- John (10/5): - Easy check in. Clean room. Had a great steak at the clubhouse for dinner. Great view of Mt Shasta.
- Pete (7/5): Good -
- Natalia (10/5): - Loved our stay at this golf resort. Awesome view of Mount Shasta right from the balcony. Seems like every unit has the mountain view. These are one bedroom apartments with living room and kitchen and a separate bedroom. AC worked ok given it was over 100 degrees outside. Bathroom and shower were clean and everything worked just fine. Pool is awesome and soooo refreshing, and we loved the restaurant pizza. There is a bar in the too with a variety of drinks. Staff checks on you every morning asking if anything is needed. Had a mild problem with ants invading by the balcony but issue was addressed by resort staff ASAP.
Wifi was weaker than expected. In and out a lot of times. That needs to be fixed.
Overall it was a pleasure to stay away from the city and get awesome views. Would choose it again over any hotel in Mt. Shasta area.
- Robert (9/5): Surprisingly comfortable, well located, reasonably priced. - The location was just what we wanted as we were doing night photography. The room was comfortable with a deck and view of Mt. Shasta. Quiet location. Fairly easy access to highway 97 north and only a few miles from Weed. For the price of a motel room, we had a bedroom with two queens, bathroom, living area that included a tv, couch, table and chairs, refrigerator, microwave, and stove. Oh, and the air conditioner (and it was needed!). The location was perfect as we visited the Living Memorial Sculpture Garden, a tribute to veterans, to shoot the sculptures under the stars. There was a nice, comfortable couch but would like to have had one more comfy chair.
- Harold (10/5): - very relaxing and great views of Mt. Shasta also loved the beautiful golf course.
- Amber (4/5): - Extremely run down unit, but so much potential if they were able to fix them up a bit.
- Maria (10/5): - Very cozy mellow place. Great kitchen and laundromat in apartment.
- Allison (8/5): Nice stay - We loved our stay here. Our room (119) had an incredible view of Mount Shasta. The hotel is off the beaten track a bit but worth the drive for the view and the price.
- Angelica (10/5): - The beautiful view of Mt Shasta out the balcony. This area is amazing!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean, comfortable and spacious. Nice to have a living room/kitchen area too. Three adults in our group and we’re very comfortable. Loved watching the deer on the golf course from our deck.
- William (8/5): Bring your golf clubs - It was a nice overnight stay. Had a nice view of the driving range.
- Tiffany (8/5): - My friend and I stayed 2 nights here. The view of the resort was so nice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We were a party of 3 yet there was only 2 towels and one coffee mug. Beautiful views.
- kenneth (6/5): Bring the price down. - Very over-priced. It should cost half of what was charged. Several maintenance issues. Restaurant has limited hours. But, it's the only show in town.
- Rusty (10/5): Golf outing - It was great for the price.
- Noreen (8/5): Great time had by all - The condo was not fancy but was clean. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The views are unbeatable! Had a Great time and would definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It had potential to be so nice but the room was unkept. The blanket had a stain on it when pulling the sheets down, the lamp in the living room was missing the bulb, the chairs on the deck were broken and needed to be cleaned off, it smelled really musty when we got in. There is a “cleaning fee” so I assumed it would be very clean for our visit.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Mostly peaceful and quiet. The place was roomy for our needs and seemed to be well kept and clean. Nice view of golf course and the mountain. Large geese seen off of back deck. You won’t see that at hotels!
We suggested that some small things like leaving the porch light on for late arrivals, ensuring that lamps come on at wall switch, and WiFi password be posted.
The staff took care of issues without difficulty.
We will book again when traveling up into this area.
This was a nice find.
- Lynnea (8/5): Girls trip - There is very little in the way of supplies in the kitchen, they should at least have salt and pepper and a bigger bowl and pans would be nice. It’s a beautiful place. Nice and clean the beds aren’t the best but OK. We have been there twice
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property is on the golf course grounds. Nice balconies to enjoy the evening
- Mark (10/5): - Actually a duplex condo with designated parking. Overlooks a well maintained golf course driving range. Due to Covid 19 we were not able to check out the on site dining. Due to smoke from wild fires we weren't able to appreciate the distant views. Very quiet and comfortable room.
- Perry (6/5): - The WI FI getting work. The TV couldn’t change the channels. The place was clean very dated needs updating badly
- Verified traveler (10/5): Family Trip - We had a great experience. Easy check in and gave provided all our needs such as extra towels, toilet paper, and soap without having to ask. Would come back here again!
- Hilary (8/5): hance to stay on a golf course - Gorgeous view from balcony. Room 101 was on the first tee of the course. But until is old, creaky and decrepit. Covid cleanliness was fine, but carpets need replacing and so on. No wifi or cell service in the room. Handy stopover from CA to Crater Lake
