• Karen (9/5): Welcoming and comfortable. - Comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. Bonus - electric car charger. Ate there in evening and had a very good stay. Bit of repair work going on paint on wall of en-suite but didn’t affect our use. Everything else was very good.

• David (10/5): Lovely friendly polite staff , excellent food , comfortable clean and quiet room. - The breakfast was exceptional, freshly cooked and hot using local produce which all added to the experience. Our room was extremely clean and in lovely order and equipped with everything we needed including a kettle tea coffee and biscuits and milk, the bathroom had lovely soft quality towels and the shower was superb and with all necessary toiletries provided. Our bed was incredibly comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. The room was lovely and quiet as promised as we had requested a quiet room if it was possible and the staff at the Tilman certainly delivered. A small fridge would have been useful but the lack of this didn't at all detract from our experience in fact it is very difficult if not impossible to find a fault with anything at the Tilman .

• Michael (9/5): - Great breakfast, free secure private parking just round the corner, the room was clean and spacious with an excellent bathroom. Would recommend. Good location near restaurants and the beachfront. No lift so had to hump cases up flights of stairs. Not a major problem but people with mobility issues could struggle with the stairs.
• michael (7/5): Barmouth is a small town - The room was spacious, good shower facilities. Room furnishings were basic but functional. A good thing to have shelves for storing clothing rather than drawers. Daily servicing of the room could be improved. Shower room not properly cleaned and tea cups not changed after use.
• Allie (9/5): Exceeded our expectations - The room was very comfy. Quality coffee bags and fresh milk. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and quality produce. Safe parking. The pillows were a bit lumpy. It didn’t affect us but there are stairs to the three floors. Anyone not too mobile might struggle.

De ruime kamer die modern zijn ingericht met smaakvolle accessoires. Fantastisch ontbijt. Privéparkeergelegenheid. Geen opmerkingen, behalve wellicht dat het bellen om te kunnen parkeren voor mensen met een niet-UK telefoonnummer wel wat kosten meebrengt.

• Joanne (9/5): Great room in a fab location. - Great location and the room was lovely. Really nice decor and super comfy bed. The shower was superb - and great to have a bath too! Don’t be fooled by the pub itself. I was slightly wary of the rooms given the bar was a little messy and in need of a tidy up. But the room was superb.

I attended for the Hurly Burly swim - registration could be seen from our room and early breakfast request was accommodated without a fuss. Nothing. All was brilliant - tea and coffee facilities, shower, hair dryer and sea view window seat!

• Jeanette (8/5): A very comfy Hotel in the centre of town, with some lovely shops, Bars, cafes & restaurants. Perfect - Great location right in the centre of the town. Free parking which is a great bonus. Lovely breakfast. Lovely coffee and Nice biscuit's in the room and a very cute bottle of milk. No De-café coffee or De-Café tea or fruit teas in the room. Hand wash & Shower gel was provided but I could not tell if the product was suitable for the hair as the label was worn, I never brought any shampoo of my own because the website had said all toiletries are provided.

• Valentin (7/5): Bien, mais peut mieux faire ! - La situation géographique, le parking inclus, le bar/pub de l'hôtel très sympa. Chambre sympa, plutôt moderne. Attention, pas d'ascenseur ! L'isolement des fenêtres laisse à désirer. Nous avons été gêné par le bruit du vent comme si la fenêtre était ouvert alors qu'elle était fermée. Celle ci était très vétuste.

• Scott (7/5): Rooms are nice but need better beds. Staff at breakfast weren’t very prepared, had to ask for most things. Very expensiv - Great bathroom , location is perfect and parking is good. Beds are uncomfortable, two singles zipped together. This is not 5 star.
• Carole (8/5): - Yes breakfast was good, on arrival i had asked for a low floor as my husband has walking problems on check in they said they hadn't read my request and they had put us on the third floor, couldn't have got any higher but had no other rooms so unfortunately we couldn't go to the room in the day as he couldn't do the stairs more than once a day i must admit it put a dampener on our stay , im not sure we would stay again because of this issue, you shouldn't have a request box if its not going to be read !

• Angela (6/5): enjoyable stay thanks to staff. - Staff were very accommodating and the food was great 👍 Bed was very comfortable. Room had a few scuffs and needs a bit of maintenance. I put a notice on the door for the room to be refreshed but it didn’t happen and had to ask for clean towels and tea and coffee loo rolls which to be fair a member of staff came straight with them. Carpets could do with cleaning also and towel rail. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend eating in the restaurant.

• Brian (9/5): Worth it... shame about the train. - Walking into the Tilman @ 3.00pm when the bar was packed, not a great aroma and no suggestion it was an Inn was worrying. Returning later, we felt more confident. Accessing the resident's area felt good, and the rooms were a long way from the busy bar (a good thing) and they were comfortable, well-decorated and made us feel much, much better. The breakfast was perfect, all the 'staff' worked well and last impressions altered the first impression. As above....
