• Siri (8/5): Ok overnattingssted for et par netter i Ella - Sentralt men rolig da det var litt utenfor hovedgata. Vi hadde kun en natt her. Grei nok frokost. Ingen alkoholservering men super restaurant rett ved siden av.

• Kaisa (8/5): Kiva hotelli rauhallisella alueella - Sijainti ihanteellinen. Lyhyt kävelymatka vilkkaalle pääkadulle, mutta ”oma katu” oli hiljainen ja rauhallinen. Siisti perushuone. Ystävällinen ja auttavainen henkilökunta. Korjasivat jos oli epäkohtia kuten alkuun toimimaton wifi. Kysyivät päivittäin, haluammeko siivouksen ja toivat uudet vesipullot, teet ja kahvit. Aamupala oli ihan perus mutta riittävä. Omeletit tarjottiin vielä lisäksi. Hotellissa uima-allas, jota ei monessakaan Ellan hotellissa ole. Huoneessa ei ollut omaa pientä jääkaappia. Todella vähän säilytystilaa kahden ihmisen tavaroille joten pidimme lähes kaikki matkalaukuissa (huone oli tilava joten sinne mahtuisi isompi kaappi jossa hyllyjä ja isompi tila roikkuville vaatteille). Huono äänieristys naapurihuoneista. Aamiaisen kahvi aivan järkyttävän pahaa. Siis todella mustaa tervaa!!
• Ann-Charlotte (8/5): Bra läge, prisvärt, rent och snyggt på rummen. Rekommenderar ändå. - Läget Bokade en tuktuk för att åka till Little Adam’s Peak och kolla på soluppgången. När vi bokade så de att priset skulle vara 1500 LKR men när han kom på morgonen var det plötsligt 1800 LKR. Inga stora pengar men principen är lite tråkig. Första dagen var även frukosten i det närmaste slut när vi kom och då var det över en timma kvar av serveringen.

• Aditya (10/5): - Initially we booked the stay for 1 night at 88th Ella but due to cyclone conditions we need to increase our stay for 2 more nights. The stay was just amazing. We were stuck in Ella due to cyclone but these people made our stay memorable and safe, all the staff are really helpful, especially Karan who helped us lot, we really feel like we were staying at home. Currently only breakfast is available at their restaurant but its just amazing, they will prepare the breakfast as per your order. If you are indian and chai lover then will get the perfect "Chai" here. Also that time our sim card was not working so they provided the "Srilankan map" which is really helpful. Overall - If you are in Ella and looking for normal hotel (not home stay) which is safe, realiable at prime location then you must try this hotel. 5mins walk to market and nearby cafe's- restaurants. Everything was as expected rather more than expected.

• Hanna (10/5): Fräscht hotell med otrolig personal! - Det här var utan tvekan det bästa hotellet vi bott på sedan vi kom till Sri Lanka! Hotellet var centralt beläget i Ella, fast på en bakgata, vilket var väldigt bra då det var tyst i området och inte så mycket bilar som åkte precis utanför. Vi stannade i tre nätter och hade lätt kunnat stanna längre. Rummet var stort och väldigt bra städat, det kändes rent och fräscht och när de städade rummet fick vi nya handdukar. De hade även schampo och duschkräm i duschen vilket jag inte tycker att så många hotell här har. Vi fick även tandborstar och tandkräm. Tyvärr var det lite dåligt väder när vi besökte Ella men en av dagarna var det sol och då hängde vi vid hotellets pool. Den var så fin och fräsch dessutom. Hotellet fixade poolhanddukar. Vi åt frukost på hotellet alla morgnar och den var jättegod! En blandning av Sri Lanka mat och västerländsk mat. Personalen var helt enastående!! Vi hade mest kontakt med Niroshan och Ashif och de var så snälla och hjälpsamma! Andra kvällen på hotellet kände jag mig lite sjuk så jag orkade inte gå ut för att äta. Då kom Niroshan upp till vårt rum för att se så att jag var okej och fixade frukt åt mig att äta. Och när jag kom ner till frukosten dagen efter stod Ashif där med honung som skulle vara bra för magen. Ett annat exempel på deras vänlighet var när min pappa fick ett bett av en insekt. Då tvättade de rent hans sår och smörjde in det med en salva för att sedan sätta plåster på. Det här kändes mer som ett hem än som ett hotell och vi är så nöjda att vi hittade dit! De gav oss också bra tips inför våra olika hikear som vi gjorde och fixade även transport till oss när vi skulle vidare till nästa destination. Vi kan varmt rekommendera att bo här om ni besöker Ella! Vi är väldigt nöjda, se ovan :)

• Maillard (10/5): Bel endroit ! - Nous avons séjourné 1 nuit au 88th Ella. La chambre était propre, le personnel très sympa ! On nous a offert le petit déjeuner alors que nous ne l'avions pas réservé, la réception à été très arrangeante pour garder nos sacs à dos lors de notre virée au nine arch bridge et au little Adams peak. Ils nous ont ensuite appelé un taxi pour aller à notre point suivant, et offert un thé en attendant le taxi. Très bel endroit. -

• richard (4/5): Pick another Hotel - While the location was good, the hotel was a huge disappointment and the room looked nothing like the photos..the bed had 2 small, old and flat pillows. The sheets were poor quality and pilled. No cover other than the top sheet and nor surface to even put my toothbrush down on in the bathroom.,plus the toilet was loose and moved when you sat down. The breakfast was horrible also.,pick another place.lots to choose from.

• Ben (8/5): Very good - Lovely hotel staff and a good quality hotel with rooms and a restaurant. Best shower we had on our travels and the manager was kind enough to upgrade us to a balcony room free of charge. 5 minute walk into Ella and great if you want to be near the town!

• Anne (7/5): Great place in Ella but needs some cleaning - The staff was beyond wonderful- they even called us up one day as we were missing breakfast. The hotel was located very close to the city center which was also very nice We booked this hotel was we wanted to spend time by the pool. However, it desperately needed cleaning - it was very dirty for our entire stay. This was the most expensive hotel we have booked for our Sri Lanka trip, but for it to live up to the price it should have been cleaned better.

• Sergey (6/5): Pleasant - The location is good. The value for money is ok. The staff is very friendly. The rooms didn't feel comfortable and it wasn't very clean. It was mold on the walls in the shower room. The blankets were old and "yellow-used".
• Winnie (7/5): Overall a nice overnight - The staff were friendly. Nice pool and dining area. Breakfast was good with an egg/omelette station. Great location, close to shops, laundry and restaurants off the main road. Non working aircon, it was under repairs. Luckily fan was working! The room was not cleaned properly- so many dead/alive flies and mosquitoes in the room and staircases, all gathering at the windows.

• Clint (10/5): Great hospitality in a well kept hotel. - Located very close to Ella strip. Hotel was very clean and friendly welcome by the staff especially Niroshan and Shehan. We were greeted with a very warm coffee and made feel comfortable and homely by chatting to us. We were filled with all the necessary information with what we should do in the evening and what are the hot spots in the area etc etc. There is nothing to moan about in the hotel or staff or food. Everything is up to the standard and even the driver had some good feedback about his accommodation and food he was provided in house.

• Paivi (10/5): Amazing place, safe and clean - Really good and easy experience, staff was very welcoming and our room was beautiful and clean. The best location if you want to hike to Little Adam's Peak or see the Nine Arches bridge. Short walking to both and easy access to bars and restaurants in Ella town.
• Haris (4/5): - Location of the property is good. Walk-able to the main market & right in the hub. The property has contruction going on so the view is a bit shabby. The property gives you a feel of bnb rather than a hotel. There were a few problems at the hotel: 1. Alignment of doors: Balcony doors had issues in opening. Same problem with shower ares doors - the alignment was wrong and can break if not handled properly. 2.Drilling sound all night: This was quite bad and we had issues sleeping peacefully.

• Furugan (2/5): - The property was not clean and had a bad odour. The Staffs were not clean. The drivers accomodation they provided was just terrible. As per our driver, he just used the wash room and slept in the car because the place was so unclean.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a very quick stop in Ella and only stayed one night at 88th Ella however it was perfect for what we needed. A quick walk to the main street for restaurants and many restaurants around the are of the hotel. A quick walk to Adam's Peak and a very spacious room.

The hotel is very close to main street with good restaurants & pubs.They normally don't provide driver accomodation but gave our driver a place to stay. Breakfast Buffet was good too.I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend few nights in Ella.
• David (4/5): Unfinished Hotel - The feel from the hotel is that it was opened to early and is now struggling with lots of small problems. The walls have marks, mud and dirt etc in the rooms, the curtains are stains and damp in the bathroom which are very small details which should be picked up by the hotel. Their was a power fault in our room which meant the electricity went off three times during our two night stay, one time I was able to turn it back on myself. The towels are old and tired, although they seemed to be clean. The bathroom has problems with ants and other insects as it has opened vents, being in a rainforest environment is not very practical. Breakfast was very basic with Fruit, Toast and Juice the only item readily available Eggs were possible on request but when it was busy we were not asked. Communication with the staff is an issue as we raised queries on a couple of occasions and nothing came from them until we had to follow them up.
• Verified traveler (4/5): A Bugs Life - It seems that there are too many rooms for management to give adequate attention to the place. The design of the building has not taken into consideration its surroundings. The rear of the building opens onto forestry and is open plan, however the front of the building has a glass facade. At night time, insects are attracted to the light and get stuck at the glass to the front (in the communal areas) so there are dead insects all over the window ledges (that don’t seem to get cleaned up). We also had a problem with the insects in our room and I spent the 2 nights killing crawling and flying insects. These were large 4 winged flying bugs. Breakfast was adequate - tea,toast, fruit and eggs. But again the hygiene of the breakfast area was not great due to the open plan design. There was a large green stick insect to greet me at the table one morning. I informed management about the insects in the room and was told “don’t worry, they don’t bite” and “maybe turn the light off in your room”. A good quality guesthouse would be recommended over staying at this mid range hotel.
• Sarah (8/5): Good - Hotel is set back off the main street making it a quieter area but still an easy walk to all the restaurants. Also easy to walk to the nine arches bridge and little Adams peak . Our room was large and clean, we were on the 3rd floor (there’s no lift) and our room shared a corner balcony. The breakfast was ok, fresh fruit, eggs cooked to order and toast. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

• Roy (8/5): Clean, central and friendly service. - This is a great choice if you want a new hotel in a central location and it not costing the earth. Not many reviews as it has only recently opened, however unlike earlier review states it is finished. No AC in room but it is well ventilated and was very cool overnight. My room was on the back and overlooked a forest wall so got treated to birdsong during my stay. Very clean and modern throughout and breakfast had a good selection. Lobby needs to be defined a little as looks a little makeshift and room amenities need to be improved (shampoo/shower gel/hairdryer.) overall very happy with my stay.
• Dean (4/5): This is not a hotel, this is a building site! - The building is not complete, maybe in 6 months or so it will be but for now it is a building site! Not sure how Hotels.com allow room to be booked in a building site which has builders, electricians etc in the building on every floor from 8am. Our room was one of the almost completed rooms, still needed a few light fitting (bare wires hanging out the wall). There was a TV but no reception, just a blue screen. No kettle or fridge in the room and their idea of complementary toiletries (as advertised) is 1 small bar of hand soap. The room is a good size and the shower is no bad but there is building dust everywhere. The bathroom has no extractor fan just a grated “window” which can’t be closed so all the building dust sits thick on the windowsill. We had to ask for the sheets to be changed before going to sleep as they hadn’t been. When we asked the front desk if we weren’t aloud to be in the hotel after 8am he enquirer why, we answer because there are builders using electric drills & hammers outside our room. He reply, “oh, do you want me to ask them to stop?” There is a complementary breakfast which again is not bad.
• J (10/5): - NIce room. Abit bad road leading to the hotel but not the hotel's fault. Towel was abit dirty. Request for a change but new towels were the same condition.
