Guest Reviews
- Gary (9/5): Would definitely stay again. - Friendly staff and value for money. Lighting in the room could’ve better for my wife doing her makeup.
- Michael (8/5): Did what it said on the box -
- Anthony (10/5): Cosy, easy and very Scottish - Nice owner-operated establishment with homely feel. Just what Scotland should be All good at this spot
- Steven (10/5): -
- Sean (9/5): Nice hotel in a great location - The location was perfect for our needs. Nothing comes to mind everything was good.
- Maisie (9/5): -
Douche was erg klein, zo’n 60x60 com.

- Gordon (10/5): Fantastic value for an overnight stay in the centre of Aberdeen - My husband stayed in this hotel whilst I was as in albyn hospital just along the road from this hotel. The price was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area.
He was more than happy with his overnight stay. The room was perfect, the food was great especially the breakfast that was included in such a reasonable price of the stay. The staff was lovely with the manager asking him each time he returned how I was after my operation.
Would definitely recommend this hotel
- Craig (9/5): Great place for a short break if in the area - V easy, great service & good location Not much, rooms were maybe a little tired & shower was cramp but overall great experience with brilliant staff

- Elaine (10/5): Good food, great staff and very good location - Great breakfast and nice to see vegetarian and vegan options. Super all day menu in bar/restaurant too. Location wise - close for me attending Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Maybe having heating on in room for arrival but can understand it costs the hotel

- Kevin (5/5): Would not stay again. - The location was good The room had a really bad smell in it which was very unpleasant.
Breakfast was ok but fir the price you would get a far better breakfast in a cafe.
- Paula (8/5): - Tenía de todo. Era cómodo Techos bajos en la ducha y pequeña
- Valentina (10/5): -
- Laura (8/5): Excellent location, quiet rooms, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. - Great location, quiet room and excellent breakfast. The lighting in the room and especially in the bathroom was too low. Almost impossible to apply make up in the bathroom.
- Karen (8/5): Good value - Good location Car park is rather tight
- Debbie (10/5): We would definitely stay again if we came back to Aberdeen we found it to be great value for money a - The hotel was exactly as descibed on booking .com We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff we met, having a lively pub attached was a bonus and we had an amazing roast dinner the evening that we arrived , breakfast the next morning was brilliant too There was nothing that we didn't like about our stay we had a very positive experience
- William (8/5): -
- Colin (10/5): Great stay - Good location, comfortable, good value. Friendly staff. Access to rear car park is a bit narrow, not a problem, just be cautious
- Macvicar (9/5): -
- Alan (10/5): Another very enjoyable stay - The hotel is ideally located in Aberdeen for the city centre. It is comfortable and staff are excellent. Probably the lack of room service/ fridge in the room.

- Marianne (10/5): Great stay - Friendly staff and great value for money. Enjoyed a meal in the bar also which had a good atmosphere.
- James (8/5): We would stay again but in better weather or warmer room. - The staff, meals and location could not be faulted. The room was a bit chilly due to the single-glazing and the bad weather. Even turning up the radiators to max did not warm the room much.
- Garry (10/5): - Great place to stay and very clean, staff are super friendly.
Bar lively and has a good selection of beer. Nothing

- campbells (7/5): Ok for a night and very central - Easy to find but parking was pretty hairy- very tight. Was busy so check in was on the staircase! Room was quite old fashioned but quite adequate. Bed was comfy, bedding clean. Tea, coffee, hot choc and biscuits too. Bathroom more modern. Value for the price Towels were very thin, room would be brighter with pale walls- very dark. Breakfast was fine but no fruit or extras but you did order on the day and not the day before which is becoming common. Hard to know where to leave the keys as no desk and no staff to be found in the morning
- Shepherd (7/5): -
- Deb (10/5): 100% recommend - From the moment we walked through the door, the staff were so welcoming and helpful No fridge in the room, but staff were happy to put it in their fridge
- Susan (8/5): -

- Dougie (9/5): -

- YVONNE (9/5): A fantastic hotel with great staff in a lovely location, close to the centre but in a peaceful area. - Really clean, very comfortable room with a relaxing and cosy atmosphere. Room was a good size with good facilities. Really lovely staff both checking in and in the bar downstairs.
- Neil (8/5): -
- Kerry-Liam (10/5): Enjoyable, friendly, lovely stay 😊 - Location wasn’t too far out of the city centre for me. Enjoyed the walk there.
The single room was spacious and suited me.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was splendid. Nothing!!
- david (9/5): Pleasantly surprised. I’ve drunk many times in the Dutch Mill without ever realising they have rooms - Excellent porridge First floor room would have meant fewer stairs.
- Patryk (10/5): -
- Julie (6/5): Disappointed return - Welcome on arrival Bathroom needs updating
Breakfast wasn't up to scratch on the Sunday
Windows need attention
- Robert (8/5): -
- Joe (10/5): Great place to stay in Aberdeen. - Clean well kept room, shower pressure was really good, breakfast was served fast and good quality and service was great. Great value for money. I walked into town within 15 minutes in the evening where there are lots of shops, restaurants and bars. The rooms are just above the pub so of an evening sometimes there is a bit of noise as it travels up the staircase.
- Helen (8/5): - Comfortable room, good facilities Nothing
- McCabe (10/5): -
- Claire (7/5): - Close to where I needed to be. Bins being emptied at 5am.
- Andrew (6/5): -
- Craig (10/5): - The attention given to residents despite how busy the bar etc can get. The standard of food and facilities provided. Wonderful atmosphere. Nothing. Everything was excellent just like every other time we've been up north.
- Rosa Maria (10/5): The hotel is a true gem in Glasgow. The staff are exceptional, the rooms are comfortable and beautifully maintained, and - Everything was amazing!
- Adil (9/5): -
- Russell (6/5): Decent stay - could have been better - Good location and quiet. Breakfast was disappointing. No orange juice. No yoghurts. Poor selection of cereal. Hot food overcooked and small portions.
- Scott (8/5): Very enjoyable - Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, good location Nothing
- Penny (10/5): Excellent clean and comfortable and staff friendly but professional - Pretty much everything Even though the room was onThe top floor which cut out a lot of the bar noise downstairs the traffic noise was disturbing so we couldn’t have our Window open. Next time I’ll ask for a room on the same floor but face the rear of the building
- Alan (10/5): - Staff, location, parking Nothing
- Susan (10/5): - Friendly staff, lovely good sized room, lovely food Nothing
- Andrew (9/5): Great value. - Professional, friendly service on arrival, lovely breakfast, comfy accommodation. N/A
- Peter (10/5): Good value - Food excellent The staff use the landing area as a canteen
- Richard (10/5): Short visit, meaning an overnight stay and business lunch in the restaurant where we were made to feel very welcome. - Clean and tidy. Was made to feel very welcome, and the stay and a business lunch in the restaurant passed without issues. When I mentioned we didn’t have much time for lunch we were seen to promptly with great service. Great job team. nothing
- Barry (9/5): -
- diane (7/5): Ideal for one or two nights - Very clean. Bed was comfortable. Bed very near sloping ceiling so a bit dangerous if got up in night. Couldn't find a socket near kettle, but may have been there.
Quite a lot of stairs up to room.
Was told wake-up call not possible though there was a phone in room!
- Adam (8/5): - Very hospitable. Clean, tidy and comfortable single room. Completely silent after 11pm but was also quiet before then.
- Marie (5/5): -
- Agata (8/5): -
- Guillaume (10/5): -
- Brenda (10/5): Enjoyed our stay very much - Lovely hotel , helpful staff Nothing
- Greg (10/5): Great location , great food , great staff - Excellent location and food. Staff very friendly also.
- Ziggy6306 (8/5): Our favourite small hotel in town. - We love the dutchmill for its location and the ability to park. Staff are always friendly weather its the bar staff or the waiting staff. Restaurant is fantastic and reasonably priced with proper normal food. Only criticism this visit was the parking was no existent due to the rear carpark being closed as a result of snow and ice which cant be helped but a reminder on booking would have been a great touch. The front car park was also non existent due to the hotel prepping for the world Cup this summer and erecting a marquee tent. Kudos however to the manager who pointed us 200 yards to an empty vacant area where free parking was allowed. Also there was a domestic incident that occurred around early hours which was swiftly dealt with by staff and the police.
