- Douglas (3/5): Ruined by the check in process - Great location The check in process was the worst I have ever encountered and I travel a lot. I was told in an email that we could collect the keys from the office but they didn’t say the office would be closed when we were due to arrive as it was a Sunday. They would say they would phone me back and didn’t. Very slow response to emails and their responses seemed like standard emails that didn’t address what was asked. I would not book into any accommodation where Port Stephen Accommodation was the letting agent ever again

- deborah (5/5): property is definitely not worth the money they’re asking, due to the lack of update/upgrade n care on all of the ab - The view Oven didn’t work when we tried to cook dinner first night n remained so for rest of stay.., light in lounge room flickered badly, it got fixed. Rang 24hr service- not really a service, no care.
shower hot water tap broke, shower leaked really bad n especially at night. Bed leg in second bedroom on a strange angle/bent..
Stains on carpet in lounge area.
Even tho no WiFi, TV isn’t a Smart TV, so no way to Stream. Outdated..
Poor communication in trying to get services fixed or what was proposed to happen.

You - Proximity to beach Disgustingly filthy we had to wash up every item of cutlery and crockery and cookware before we could use it. The shower tap fell off in my hand. The vertical blind slats were missing in a number of locations hence no privacy, except for me hanging towels up there exhaust fan in the bathroom didn’t work.numerous cockroaches. Curtains falling apart. Disgraceful, dirty blankets. Crack in mirror also so close to falling off.
GPO in kitchen hanging off the wall. No extra towel rails for beach towels. Table on veranda and concrete disgustingly filthy. Dilapidated front doormat.

- michelle (8/5): Loved our stay. Would book again - Stunning location and view. Easy walk to all cafes and shops in Shoal Bay. Kitchen facilities excellent. Off street Parking for one car. If you need to park a 2nd car there is no free parking. Needs a cockroach spray.

The number to ring with queries was hopeless and would not connect us with the accommodation agent. The phone third party was a waste of money and no help at all !
- Kim (7/5): Wonderful location but flooring needs updated for value for money. - The view was fabulous. Great location. The beds were very comfortable. The unit had all the essentials. Kitchen clean and well stocked with essential utensils. Having a lockup garage was a bonus. It was a easy walk to all facilities in Shoal Bay. The carpet is heavily stained throughout. but particularly the loungeroom. It was really off putting as you walk in the door. Didn't like taking shoes off. The doors need painting they look dirty. Lampshade in main bedroom stained.
The bathroom was ridiculously small. Almost had to use the toilet sidesaddle on a seat which is too small for the toilet. Cleaners need to be a bit more diligent. Lots of crumbs around the lounges. Would also suggest new photos of loungeroom showing changed furniture.

- Robyn (9/5): Magnificent! - Everything - wonderful pretty location, old unit but right on the water's edge, great facilities, new lounge suite, fantastic views, comfortable, close to national park walks {which we completed and found most rewarding). Collecting and returning keys was a nuisance but managed.
Hairdryer did not work and as I was attending a wedding, was a little phased. Left a message with keys that water seemed to have leaked under bathroom basin and may have caused fuse for hairdryer (unsafe) - hope this message was passed on to owners.

This is the second time this has happened to me and also my friend. Quick dash to Kmart
Outdoor seating is not sufficient for the 4 person stay, but easy to grab a chair from inside

Allocated parking was great. Its off street just but at least our 4wd wasn't restricted by low level undercover or underground parking. The vertical blinds on the front don't open or close properly. They are in urgent need or replacement. They are very deteriorated and falling apart. I have emailed Port Stephens accommodation who were going to let the owners know. Plenty of reviews on this matter going back a couple of years. We will go back to the same unit again after this issue is fixed.
