Guest Reviews
- PAUL (8/5): -
- Judy (9/5): Great pit stop in Inverness! - Lovely spacious room, clean and tidy. Great breakfast and friendly staff Some of the common areas were a bit outdated, but the staff were very kind and the room was lovely
- Ron (10/5): This is a hotel where you arrive as guests and leave as friends. - Chosen for its convenient location between the airport (where we picked up our hire car and then returned it at the end of our trip) and the city centre, a 15 minute drive away, this hotel became our favourite stay on our trip due to the warmth and humour of our host, Peter, and his team.
- Jeffrey (7/5): Basic locatie - Vriendelijk personeel -
- Susan (9/5): Lovely little inn and people - Lovely people. Friendly and accommodating. Clean. Cozy style. My pillow. Head couldn't relax. Bathroom walls quite creaky from neighbor moving around next-door
- Savino (10/5): -
- Sahaar (8/5): - The staff was very friendly the room was clean as was the shower The bar could get a bit loud. You could hear people walking up the stairs, doors closing etc but the var closes at Midnight and most of the noises happen during reasonable hours aka around breakfast time.
- Debbie (8/5): A nice hotel with friendly stuff - Friendly staff, good breakfast, beds were fine, everything clean and serviceable, little dated and shabby but fine. Need transport to get into Inverness but all good over-all . Room was a little noisy from bar below but fine after 11pm.
- Thomas (9/5): -
- Richard (8/5): Second stay in the last 12 months. I don’t remember staying anywhere alse where the staff are so helpful and friendly. W - Plenty of parking
- Lee (6/5): Pleasant enough but at our time of life we needed more comfort :) - Breakfast was good . Staff were Very Good . Bedding was clean . Bathroom Facilities good and plenty hot water.
Beds uncomfortable , my wife and I didn't sleep great , Building and the Decor are just dated. Needs a 'spruce' up. See above
- Castro (8/5): -
- martin (10/5): - Room clean and bed so comfortable Nothing
- Grant (9/5): - Staff treated you like family. Breakfast was awesome and facilities were homely. Nil
- Wallace (8/5): As Arnie said, we'll be back. - Location, staff easy to talk to, breakfast included. Just a personal thing which no one could have catered for- pillow too high!
- Polona (8/5): -
- Tesla (10/5): The staff were super friendly. Very warm and welcoming! -
- Patrycja (7/5): - Lokalizacja i parking.
- mark (10/5): Perfect - Great breakfast, spotless room, happy
Nice couple doing the breakfast, guess the owners?
Great location on the outskirts of Inverness
- Emiel (8/5): Gezellig familiehotel - Vriendelijk personeel, dorpse sfeer, bar, restaurant, pooltafels, darts.
- Michael (8/5): - Great staff who were very helpful.
We had a 4:30 a.m. start for a bike event and they were very happy to leave breakfast trays outside each room.

Rien
- Matteo (8/5): -
- Joana (8/5): - Pessoas muito atenciosas!
- James (9/5): -
- IAN (8/5): - The sleep as it was a long drive up. But overall it was ok. Same again it's always down to the bathroom. The shower.
- Jack (9/5): - Nice bar area. Breakfast included. Very friendly staff
- Mango (8/5): - De locatie.
- Tieknie (9/5): - Klein knus hotel
Goed eten
Vriendelijke werknemers Het hotel is wel erg gehorig
- David (10/5): - Peter and staff as usual were perfect
- Andrew (8/5): Good value - Good parking available
- Stewart (10/5): -
- PATRICK (9/5): idéal, prix et gentillesse - Propreté, déjeuner convivial écossais
- Katheryn (9/5): The owners were so accommodating and kind. Room very clean. Would definitely go back. -
- Bogus (8/5): super gerne wieder - Gute Unterkunft in Stadtnähe. Gar nichts
- Nils (6/5): Frokostbetjeningen reddet oppholdet!
- Peter (10/5): -
- Siegmar (7/5): Gut für eine Nacht. - Genügend Parkplätze, sehr freundliches Personal, ausreichende Auswahl beim Frühstück. Nicht weit vom Schlachtfeld entfernt. Stickige Luft, Sauberkeit könnte besser sein.
- Francoise (5/5): -
- Cameron (10/5): Give it a try - This is my inverness go to, smashing hotel, great food and friendly staff. Nothing
- Penny (6/5): okay for one night only - obviously family run so alittle rough around the edges but all help came with a ready smile as usual not enough hooks and towel rails in the bathroom
- Cooper (9/5): - The hotel was spotless, the staff very friendly and helpful. Had a greatt experience- no faults.
- Harriet (9/5): Lovely stay - Great local spot, great menu for dinner and breakfast was lovely. Very friendly staff! Walls are a tad thin so can hear punters at the pub. Not a big deal!
- French (3/5): Very poor - The shower did not work properly .towel rail was broke .
The place.smelt like a pub . We paid for breakfast but this didn't not start till 8Am we need to leave at 7.
We could hear then in the next roo. Coughing qbd listening to his tv
- Stefan (8/5): -
- François (7/5): acceptable - employés très agréables et accueillants. Bon emplacement. hotel moyen, surtout vu le prix à payer
- Richard (10/5): Lovely staff - Location for visiting family Other residents opening landing windows to smoke.
- Leonard (8/5): A very well run establishment and to be recommended - We spent 3 nights in this hotel and were very happy there. It is situated close to Culloden battlefield and close to main road network and the Black Isle. The owner was a splendid chap and he and staff made our stay enjpyable.
Our room was good size and beds comfy. Bathroom also good size and facilities A1.
Restaurant served good evening meal and a very tasty breakfast We had no complaints whatsoever
- Reeti (10/5): -
Super nettes Personal, nette Bar abends, leckeres Frühstück.
- innes (7/5): -
- Alan (6/5): -
- Crabtree (10/5): - Superb service at a reasonable price
- Richard Hepburn (9/5): -
- Ionut (10/5): - Nice and spacious room.
Food was very different from the usual and it was amazing.
Would definitely recommend
- MoranHam (9/5): - Nice place for the night
- Simone (7/5): Good location, friendly staff, good atmosphere, only drawback was the noise and movement late at nights - It was convenient for our journey Very noisy late at night being the first room
- Noela (9/5): - Everything was wonderful.. I loved the room we were in, the kitchen staff lovely. Stairs are my enemy, but gladly navigated them for our lovely room Only the stairs but was a small price to pay :)
- Ganga (8/5): Everything was fine, did not enjoy the menu from evening dinner, however the breakfast was excellent. -
- Ritchie (7/5): Apart from the stairs we would go back again The staff was welcoming. good value for money. - Room was nice clean and just what we needed. The fact that our room was up a steep stairs.
- Neville (10/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): - The room was wonderful and the included breakfast can’t be beat!! We really enjoyed our 2 nights in your lovely hotel!!
- Patricia (9/5): - Superb staff, really welcoming and helpful. Lovely room, with plenty of space and seating. It even had a little sofa. Really nice location as well and easy to walk/cycle into Inverness. The food was great as well, freshly made and really generous portions. The pillows weren't comfortable, but that's just me.
- Linda (10/5): Great place to stay! - Staff very friendly, helpful and professional. A good team working to help each other. Nothing was too much for them.
Breakfast and evening meals are outstanding! Really can't fault The Smithton Hotel
- Tara (10/5): Enjoyable! - Peter, Andy & the gang at Smithton Hotel were awesome! Food was good, quality & piping hot! My room was clean & comfortable. I did appreciate the location as it was out of the fray of inner-city bustle, traffic & tight parking. Close to Culloden Field too.
- Greg (8/5): - Clean, modern, comfortable room. Full Scottish was excellent.
- KENNETH (8/5): Very welcoming - Lots of parking
- Karen (8/5): Friendly, efficient, affordable - Room was small but clean and fine if you just need a place to sleep. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Overall great value for money. Bring your own toiletries!
- ian (9/5): - The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was lovely, really comfy beds
- Martin (7/5): Very satisfied with our stay apart from food portions. - Friendliness of all the staff. Location was good for the areas we wanted to visit. Too much food on the plates. Would be more economical for the hotel to reduce their portions.
- Nour (8/5): -
- Phil (9/5): Fabulous hotel and staff - Food was brilliant and plentiful. Manager (Pete) and team were excellent. All was good
- ZHAOJIE (10/5): - We arrived at Inverness Airport, and it only took us 15 minutes to get to the hotel, where there were plenty of parking spaces. The hotel’s location was convenient for us, and the travel time to Loch Ness was also acceptable. Additionally, the hotel reception staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and warm, and the breakfast was freshly cooked and tasted delicious. However, the water pressure in the rooms still needs to be improved; apart from that, everything was excellent.
- Clive (10/5): - The breakfast was brilliant and filling Nothing
- Terence (9/5): -
- Douglas (9/5): great price, good value. - room was in good condition. Shower worked well. beds were comfortable. A very full Scottish breakfast!! the soap dispenser was empty
- Scott (9/5): -
- Elaine Marga (8/5): - Great staff and a great breakfast!
- Charles (7/5): -
- buck (7/5): Fantastic - Breakfast great Noise in room
- Phil (8/5): -
- Anne (10/5): - We stayed here for the convenient location, and had a bit of an emergency. The staff could not have been more kind or helpful. I will make this my regular place to stay every time I am in the area, which is 4-5x a year. Fantastic food too!
- William (10/5): - Beautiful small town feel. Family like atmosphere, the rooms were extremely clean and the staff could not have been more helpful. Easy bus route into Inverness or close enough by taxi to not cost a fortune. Complimentary breakfast was amazing unlike just the continental offered at most big chain hotels. Highly recommend it if you plan on touring the area
