- Murumkar (10/5): Great location and good people - Location and friendly staff Bathrooms could be little better
- Julio (1/5): Deludente!!
- Melissa (7/5): Not worth the price - Comfy beds, curtains available, good locker space size, quiet neighborhood Everything extra was charged, a towel, a locker, breakfast. You have to go uphill to get to the accommodation. We were told by external references that the hotel had amazing new years party and dinner, so we booked here regardless of the price that seemed high for a shared bedroom, there was no party and dinner had an extra cost of 70 soles, we decided to eat for less at a restaurant.
- Jonathan (9/5): - Super friendly personnel, helped us arrange things. For example allowed us to do some hand wash. Nice view from the hostel over the city. Clean and tidy. Nice restaurant. Walk up from downtown, but it’s worth it :)
Can be bit noisy if you want to sleep in time, but not deal breaker for us
- Rubi (8/5): Vista bella y agradable lugar - Los

- bonnet (8/5): - exellent vue, beautiful place and very comfortable it was cold, no heating,
i had the bedroom in front of the bar and aside to the kitchen, so i could hear everything and the music was loud until late at night
- Guido (10/5): Bueno!
- Isis (10/5): - Amei o supertramp, melhor hostel pra ficar em Cusco! Equipe atenciosa, ambiente delícia e perto de tudo! Pretendo voltar!!!
- Malou (5/5): Not what I expected - The location was good with a nice view and the hostel had a nice interior The showers didn't work, one day it was way too hot the other day just freezing cold. I thought it would be a social hostel, but there was nobody around. Also when checking out the girl behind the desk was really rude when I asked to place my bag in the storage. She sighed loudly and rolled her eyes like I had just asked something very difficult. Would not stay again.
- Daniëlle (7/5): Fine stay for a few nights - Amazing view at day and nighttime. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was nice and spacey. The tiny attic beds in the dorm were very cute and made the room authentic and unique. Enough spots to hangout. It’s quite a walk to get up to the hostel, especially with your bags(so be prepared). The sphere was a bit off and the staff was not really nice nor helpful.
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Molison (8/5): Wonderful views, staff, and beds, but a bit loud and some amenities could be improved. - The hostel has an amazing view of the city and is actually right next to an Incan Site!
The staff were very friendly. I spent Christmas eve and New Year’s eve here and felt very at home.
The dorm beds were super big and comfy and I loved that the lockers were attached to the bed - with this and the curtains, it felt like you had your own room. There was often loud music playing at the bar and the rooms are very close to the bar. Of you are waking up early for a trek or tour, this is not ideal. They would turn down the music at 11pm though.
The food, drink, taxi services etc are all very overpriced. I arranged a taxi through them to the airport and paid 40 soles, the taxi driver told me it should have been 15 soles.
There is no common kitchen.
It would have been wonderful to have more comfortable lounging furniture on the patios to enjoy the views.
- Jack (8/5): Very good -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - Supertramp has the perfect balance of chill and social vibes. The food is great (and won't upset your stomach) and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The dorm beds are comfy too. Make sure you attend the free salsa class on a Thursday if you can! Be prepared for the walk up the hill! But, it does mean that you have great views of the city and you're in a great, safe part of town.
- Nicki (7/5): Good - Lovely friendly staff, good sized room and private bathroom Noisy neighbours, but it is a fun hostel afterall
- Inès (2/5): The most expensive/worst experience I had in a double bed - The free infusions In my 2 months trip throught Peru it is the most expensive-worst experience I had in a double bedroom.
20 sol charge to change my first bedroom (I changed because for 150 soles I expected the room to be quiet but it is build right in the middle of restaurant and terrace with no sound insulation! Seriously…
And the second I took (for 160 soles) was big but had no windows, smell of mold, it feels like a cave, the bathroom is to tiny you can’t even put your stuff inside, the flush wasn’t even working normally, one of the two bed lights wasn’t working….
For me my stay in this hostel was a disaster and a lost of money. I wanted to stay 4 nights but I left after 1.
I just can not believe they charge so much for this! It does not deserve this price, 80-90 soles at most
Also, the behaviour of the staff was unprofessional and I felt like disturbing a group of friends that had others things to do !
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Veronica (7/5): Good -
- Hailey (8/5): Very good - I stayed in the Torquoise room. Very spacious, big shower, hot water, wifi. Staff were friendly and kind. Wouldn't say this is a party hostel.
Like most of Cusco there are lots of stairs to climb to get here. The room is smack central to everything in the hostel, I used my space heater as white noise as I am a light sleeper and slept soundly.
- Joanna (8/5): Great hostel with beautiful views and value for money! - The hostel is set up the hill and has beautiful views of Cusco! The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was really tasty. Great location and value for money. I had a private room right next to the reception/restaurant and it was slightly noisy early in the morning (deliveries?).
- Monique (8/5): Very good -
- Sherilyn (4/5): Room was nice because of the design on the walls & the hot water. But you have to hike to the place - The hot water was nice. The location, so difficult to find & the hike going up (with our luggages/bags) was so challenging, we had palpitations! Likewise, room wasn’t soundproof as we could hear the noise from the restaurant/reception at night, hence we didn’t sleep well. Also, the staff didn’t answer most of our messages promptly. But when we called to ask to book the taxi, so far they replied right away. But we had arrived late, and the pathway was dark. We went out for dinner & when we came back, taxi driver didn’t know the place & stopped us at a different accommodation so we got lost in the cold. Good thing there was google maps & had to ask a local where it was.
Also, we left early for our tour the next day, 6 to 8am & breakfast was not yet ready & no packed breakfast possible. You have to wait until around 8am when staff starts coming & will be able to make breakfast.
- Rae (8/5): Lovely hostel - would recommend - Great hostel in a lovely location. The staff were great and so helpful and accommodating making a gluten free breakfast for me. The turquoise room was spacious and great for a couple, the bed comfy, and the water in the shower really hot. Taxi service to/from the airport was great and reasonably priced. I really struggled with the cold on the night - a heater in the room would have been amazing.
- Siebe (9/5): Superb - They have curtains in front of the beds.
- Lili (9/5): One of the best hostels I've stayed in - The staff were super helpful and kind. The view from the reception/restaurant would have to be one of the best in the whole city. There are really nice restaurants within 10mins walking and you can hear the birds chirping in the morning. The dorms were also super comfy and cute. That most tours start before 8am and breakfast only starts at 8am. Kind of no point offering it free with booking when most of the time you can't access it. And the steps 😂
- Paula (9/5): Superb - Great hostel. Not too social, not too boring, just ideal for all kinds of flavours!
- Katrin (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (7/5): Good - Comfy bed It is a bit up the hill so with altitude issues coming back takes your breath away
- Skaba (10/5): Beautiful view over Cusco, great for peaceful times - View, quiet, breakfast was amazing, cozy place, hot water all good
- Sinead (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (9/5): If your going to cusco fellow travellers g8ve it a go
Hot showers too - Love the location
Clean friendly staff no excellent staff.
No complaints what s o ever Norhing
- Natalie (10/5): Best Hostel - Staff was SO nice. Beds had privacy curtains. Overall very cool aesthetics.
- Lucas (10/5): Exceptional - The hostel did part of the realization of my dream! All was amazing. The hostel's workers were very polite and helpful. They helped a lot. I loved absolutely everything. It's nearby of downtown. It's fantastic. I highly recommend. If I come back to Cusco, I would definitely stay there again.
- Andrada (10/5): Really nice! - - The hostel has a great vibe & cool resting areas
- great food (including breakfast)
- hot water
- warm blankets
- Free dancing classes (ocassionaly)
- very friendly and helpful stuff
- In private rooms you have more than 1 blanket, towels and free tea. În the doorm room you have to pay for the towel and have only 1 blanket
- the location is great, close to the center, up on the hill with a great view over the city
- they offer you lots of trips (extra)
- very safe to walk from the center to the hostel also during evening.
- the cars/taxi can reach a very close point to the hostel if you need a ride
I really enjoyed the stay (I stayed in total 4 nights). - in the rooms is very cold, indeed. Was not a big problem for me because I made use of the blanket and I also had some warm clothes. Also the hot shower helped.
During night is usually cold in Cusco, at least when I stayed (June). I don't know how other hostels are dealing with the cold nights but besides this, there is nothing that I didnt like.
- Anonymous (8/5): Friendly Hostel, close to main sites of Cusco - Great views over Cusco in a lovely part of the city- approx 10 minute walk to main square. Good restaurants and bars nearby. Friendly staff. Good breakfast with nice terrace over Cusco if weather is good. Located up a hill, taxis and trip minibuses couldn’t pick up from hostel directly due to stairs- no problem but to be aware of when booking. Can be loud if room is near reception, however they do turn the music off at 11pm.
- Roy (8/5): Very good - Stunning views, great pizza, chilled vibes.
Angie, what a star, couldn't have been anymore help. Thank you It might of just been bad timing but there was a lot of barking from neighborhood dogs.
- Tom (10/5): Great hostel - The staff were really friendly and the location was a perfect mix of being far enough outside of the city to any noise but close enough to walk to and from the City centre (5-10 minutes).
The staff were really friendly and created a very chilled atmosphere.
- Alexander (9/5): Beautiful hostel with very welcoming team and great location - We spent 10 nights at the Supertramp hostel and had a very pleasant stay. The location was great and the view is beautiful. From the photos you can see that they made a great effort to paint the buildings and rooms in a modern and exciting way. The Supertramp team is very welcoming and helped us a lot with the planning of different activities in and around Cusco. The private room we had in the beginning, as well as the dorm we stayed in in the end, were both clean and cozy. The included breakfast was good, too.
Overall, we really enjoyed the atmosphere and would stay there again anytime.
Thank you for having us, Supertramp Hostel. The only con would be that the dog kept us awake at night sometimes with his continuous barking.
- Katya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clare (9/5): Superb - The view from the hostel is beautiful but it is up quite a steep hill, about 10 mins to the main square which does sound like much but at altitude the walk back is always more difficult - just useful to bare in mind.
- Anna (8/5): Very good -
- Stephanie (8/5): Very good -
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good - The view. the fancy style of the hostel. beds with curtains included breakfast was little and only one kind, no jam butter, only dry caprese sandwich.
- Pedro (5/5): Passable - It’s in a great location, the place has a great vibe, however our room (the green room) smelled like sewage from the bathroom 70% of the time and the breakfast starting at 8am makes little sense to me, since the unit in Machu Picchu it was 4:30 and we got breakfast. One terrible thing is that we can’t access the kitchen to get water, so we had to keep asking people from the hostel to get us water all the time. So that makes no sense to me, a hostel where you can’t get access to the kitchen by yourself. And to top it off if the breakfast starts at 8am, then we think there would be food at 8am, which did not happen in our last morning there because the cook didn’t even have a lighter for the stove, so we missed breakfast because we had to rush to the airport at 8:20. All the tours we’ve booked started way before 8:00. All travel agencies have tours around 5:00/6:00, including the Supertramp Travel. The breakfast had to start earlier.
A good vibe, but these details are important (and basic) for a good stay. - Charles (10/5): Exceptional - Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The views are beautiful. Internet is better than in many surrounding areas. Showers are powerful and hot. The rooms are nicely laid out and secure. The 24 hour reception is very useful due to the early starts for many hikes in the area.
I stayed twice during my visit, and the hostel were happy to store my belongings free of charge for 4 days while I was on a long trek. They also offered the same on my checkout day. The food offered is simple but good quality, perfect for post hike when you don't want to venture in to town.
I would chose to stay here again if I was visiting. The roads and stairs up to the hostel are pretty steep. Whilst not an issue for me, I would take this into account if you do not like that kind of thing. It also means Taxis and tour minibuses can't get all the way to the hostel, although they are used to this and will call you to let you k ow they are waiting below.
Early starts for many mean you will get woken up, or wake others up throughout the early hours. This is not a fault with the hostel, just something to consider when making your bookings
. Having the bathroom and shower as part of the dorm, while convenient for me and other early risers, does add to the noise issue too.
- Aoibhin (9/5): Superb -
- Kayla (8/5): Very good -
- Adam (7/5): Great space, but I’d choose closer to the square - Great communal space, comfy room, hot shower, short walk from the plaza, entertainment A hike to get to it, taxi doesn’t come right to door, loud at night and in morning with paper thin walls,
- Alexxander (9/5): Hostel with best view in town! - One of the hostels with the best view in Cusco. Extremely friendly staff always willing to assist anytime. Very tasty food and decent breakfast included in our fee. One of the highlights was the bonfire run each night in the terrace where most of guests will gather to chat. I would come back again! Probably having more couches in the hostel would be needed since there's only one in the commons area. As a matter of fact, I would place a couple of them in the terrace to enjoy the sights. On top the of that, wifi was slightly slow but overall working fine.
- Clara (10/5): Exceptional - The hostel is amazingly beautiful and confortable, there is a great view over the city and the staff is so nice ! They really make you feel included and welcome, they seem to care so much that you're having a good time and you can tell they work hard.
Great music as well, and live musicians often come which is great.
The rooms are so confortable, you have a bed that feels like a whole room because you have a curtain that you can close (also keeps you warm at night !)
Breakfast changes every morning it's always a nice surprise ! Also it makes you want to stay longer !
Nothing to change
- Hannah (9/5): Superb - very cozy beds, clean dorm & bathroom, tasty breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff, amazing view of the city!! 😍
its cold at night, but you can just ask for more blankets or a hot cup of tea :) no microwave (as given on booking)
loud music
