Christian (9/5): Gutes, sauberes, zweckdienliches Hotel am Ortsrand von Detroit Lakes. - Gute Lage nähe des Highways, aber dennoch ziemlich ruhig. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wir konnten früher einchecken und Wäsche für wenig Geld im Hotel waschen. Alles war sauber und beim Frühstück gab es richtiges Geschirr aus Keramik, kein Plastikmüll. Das Hotel liegt am Ortsrand. Das Hotel war gut zum Übernachten, hatte aber keinen eigenen Flair. Es ist Teil eines Franchises. Für ein oder zwei Nächte wirklich gut, aber für längere Zeit etwas zu zweckdienlich und nicht gemütlich genug eingerichtet.

Pool and hot tub were nice temps and enjoyable. Breakfast had good choices but eggs, potatoes and ham were lukewarm. Breakfast items were not warm/hot.

Kathryn (7/5): it was a good stay and we would stay there again. - breakfast was good, morning staff worked very hard to keep the dining area clean and replenished while also answering questions and being available at the front desk. And they did it with a smile!! Check in staff was immature and unprofessional, sending pictures or posting on social media while checking in the person before me. She turned her back while the customer was signing on the ipad, then stuck out her tongue while looking at her phone. Also mini fridge froze my fruit and vegetables. I had to throw everything away which was disappointing.

Patrick (6/5): All staff members that we talked to were very nice. Due to above reasons, we won't go back. - The breakfast is always an added bonus at a hotel and saves us going somewhere else and wasting time. However, there was only one person doing all the work and there were a lot of guests. The counter space was small so if you were waiting for a toaster, your pancake or waffle the line stopped. There could be 2 toasters to move things along. I skipped toasting my english muffin as there were too many people in line. There was a hotel we staying at in the Florida Keys that had breakfast to go if you needed to get on the road. That was great! The person doing all the cooking and restocking and cleaning the tables was very pleasant. She could have used help. The motel was short help. This was obvious as you had to always buzz for help. At one point when I stopped at the front desk their phone said 11 missed calls. The bathroom had tiles missing from underneath the mirror. The bathtub was dirty with soap scum build up. There was a white patch on the wall that was not painted. We had a hard time with the air conditioning unit. We froze the first night and actually had to set it to heat to get the room temperature down to a comfortable level. The parking lot in some places was muddy and my husband had to pull out of the spot for me to get in to the truck.

Sherry (7/5): Price was too high for average room - We liked the breakfast. Coffee was weak The price was high for an average room. Also the shower didn't drain well at all. Really priced too high.
Perry (4/5): We won't be coming back. - 1. The room price was different for each of the two days we were there. The clerk said that is a Booking.com issue. 2. The shampoo bottle holder was broken. The bottle was resting on a corner of the bathtub. When we moved it, mold appeared on the bathtub where the bottle had been placed. It had to be there for quite a while for that to occur. 3. There is no counter space in the bathroom to place toiletries. 4. The toilet did not appear secured to the floor. 5. The shower head was too high on the wall, making it difficult to reach, and it was not possible to adjust the head. 6. Juice dispensers in the eating area were "out of order". 7. The desk lamp had no shade. 8. The TV was maladjusted; the picture quality was horrible.

The bathroom was not completely clean. The bathroom ceiling has a big water damage spot and numerous other signs of wear and tear in the room

The breakfast included cold but burnt sausages and potatoes. And the eggs were swimming in water. I expected a lot better place for $400.

Kelly (6/5): - The property around this hotel looked nice and well maintained but once inside room 128 we noticed dirty carpet in front of our room. The carpet inside felt slightly damp as if it had been shampoo'd but not completely dried or just very cold as we were on ground floor and maybe it was on cement with no padding. The hotel rooms were dated. The bathroom electric heater was rusted completely across the front.

Noise from the highway close by made it harder to sleep well. The bed wasn't as comfortable as we had hoped. Too firm or older. But the hotel was clean and our suite was nice and the free breakfast was nice. The pool and hot tub were great however the sauna was closed for repair. This is a nice place to stay.

Wayne (2/5): - We got there at 3:00 check-in and were informed that they were short on cleaners and it would be a couple hours before our room was ready. we had a wedding to be at 3:30. we canceled and got a room at another nearby hotel which we were checked in immediately and made it to the wedding in time.

Came back to the hotel at 2:50 and said that they were short staffed and wouldn’t be starting check in until 3:30-4 at the earliest which was a huge inconvenience with our schedule. Had been on the road since 6am for my son’s hockey games. Was hoping to get some rest in between games but that didn’t happen due to the later check in.

Heidi (10/5): Outstanding Staff - The front desk personnel were understaffed like very other hotel in the country, BUT they were so helpful and friendly. The lady in charge of the breakfast was fire. She worked hard and took a lot of pride in keeping the space welcoming and stocked for the guests. Overall, very happy with our experience with this staff!!

Everyone was very friendly. The only complaint is that the whirlpool bathtub had hair in it so I decided not to use it.

Christina (10/5): Nice place for an overnighter! - Breakfast was very good. The location was right near Detroit Lake and easy to find. It was perfect.
