Guest Reviews
- Ben (10/5): - Lovely place, Stuart (and the other host whose name I didn't get) are great people, the room was nice and it's a comfortable distance from town. I'll definitely be back! The only real issue I had was that the WiFi was patchy in my room but that could partly be down to my old phone as opposed to anything that could be done. Apart from that no issues at all
- andy (10/5): - Staff were lovely, easy parking.
- Sally (8/5): Good value comfortable hotel - Excellent value little hotel. The decor is rather dated, but the room was warm and comfortable. Parking can be tricky, and it's a good 20 minute walk from the centre.
- Clara (2/5): Terrible cleanliness and condition. - The staff were lovely, friendly and very welcoming. The cleanliness was very much to be desired. Blood stains on the sheets, mould on the tiles, cobwebs, pealing wallpaper, hole in the wall, mattresses like rocks, bathroom was dirty (dead spiders) it was honestly disgusting. We wouldn't recommend or stay again which is a shame because the staff are so friendly.
- Kirill (10/5): -
- Peter (8/5): - Good value, comfortable stay. Continental breakfast was included, which was an unexpected bonus. The host was very welcoming and informative.
- Andrew (10/5): Would / will do this again - The landlady and other staff I met were super friendly to this single traveller arriving on a bike. Lancaster has a good network of cycle paths, an easy 10 minute ride from the railway station Nowt
- David (10/5): - It did what it said on the tin A bit threadbare in places but I would definitely return
- Anthony (8/5): - Ace - very comfortable bed and pillows Nothing

- Kathy R (10/5): - Basic breakfast but a great range of products.
Cleanliness.
The welcome from Stuart. Can't think of anything other than a mixture of teas in the room. It would have been nice. Excellent range in the breakfast room, so I took some up.

- George (7/5): Basic needs met. Staff (hosts) excellent. Breakfast a plus. - Location, hosts, breakfast, all good. Bed was ok, room acceptable but condition of the building is a bit of an issue compared to many places. Needs a bit of maintenance and some updating.
- Lionel (10/5): -

Great owner and excellent value for money - nice walk into town along the river too. No problems at all
- Moira (10/5): Repeat customer - Once again the Townhiuse suited me well as an older, solo traveller. Hosts very welcoming and informative about your stay, and what Lancaster offers. Great to have free parking. Self service breakfast, variety of cereals, toast, crumpets & jams/marmelades suits me fine. Very comfy firm bed. No unnecessary frills; all essentials provided. Charges are excellent value. I'll be back. Would have much preferred a non-sweetened muesli - not a deal breaker.
- Barclay (10/5): Great breakfast, vegan options, Comfortable rooms. - Lovely rooms, comfortable beds, brilliant breakfast options including alot of vegan options.

- Alison (9/5): - Really nice townhouse bed and breakfast, clean, safe, able to park at the back, lovely owner. The walk into town wasn’t a nice one up a busy main road, however it is only £5 in an uber .
Don’t try to park at the front during rush hour it’s a busy road.
- Suzanne (7/5): - Easy check in, clean and comfortable. Very small room but as it was just a place to sleep perfectly adequate for what we needed
- Richard (9/5): Clean and great value - A great value hotel, with a friendly team and very clean Some facilities are a little tired, but everything worked fine and was clean - definitely good value
- sonia McDonald (10/5): Weekend break - Plenty coffee. Tea, biscuits, nice and warm. Comfy beds. Quiet and homely. Made to feel welcome and valued. The host was friendly and helpful. Would've liked a bigger TV.

- Andy (10/5): -

Water and biscuits part of Welcome Tray.
Close to the canal but half an hour walk to the centre but this was my second visit Bathroom could be updated.

- Juliana (10/5): Immaculate warm and friendly House! - Omg, what warm and friendly atmosphere, I felt like I spend the time with my family, they help me with my luggage, explaining me how the things running there, about next day breakfast and others! Clean beddings, towels, stunning cleaning everywhere. As a Professional Model, I travel a lot, I've been in thousands locations, accommodations and I didn't found, clean rooms or items! Stuart the owner and Oxana they help me a lot with anything that I needed! Not too far from City Centre, 5 mins by car, lovely accommodation, that I highly recommend! ✨️ ✨✨ It's was 2 things that I talked with the owner directly, to be solved!
- Barry (8/5): -

- graheme (10/5): Highly recommended and would return again !! - Generous offerings of cereal, toast ,coffee ,tea, fruit and chocolates. The owners, hosts were there on hand to greet and assist with breakfast each morning. Plenty of local information and recommendations for good local restaurants available at the townhouse . Nice living room area to relax in.
- Paul (9/5): - Very friendly. Good quality breakfast. Comfortable bed and powerful shower.
- Fiona (9/5): - Lovely place, very welcoming and helpful host. Nice, comfortable room - very pleased. Only thing was it's a bit of a trek from town if you don't have a car, and public transport is not great. The walk into town - both along the canal and along the river - are lovely, though, in daylight, so perhaps that's a plus after all.
- Carlos (10/5): -
- Eve (9/5): -
- Lucy (10/5): I shall definitely be back next time I am in Lancaster - I felt very comfortable and looked after.
- Hunt (7/5): Lovely owners and staff, nice rooms and excellent little place. - Room and service was excellent. However the single bed was really uncomfortable and I hardly slept, despite really nice pillows and duvet.
Breakfast was basic (cereals, yogurt and toast) and self-service, which was all I needed. Lovely breakfast room and atmosphere. No option for cooked breakfast, for information only. The mattress (springs felt down the middle) and the peeling wallpaper let down what was otherwise a charming room with good facilities.
- David (10/5): -
- Angela (9/5): Overall very good and would come back - Clean
Owners very helpful with advice about activities
Very close to river walk and canal walk- lovely walks with lots of trees
Beds comfortable, bedding good including nice pillows A bit far from centre of Lancaster
- Iskandar (10/5): - The team were really friendly and accommodating. They let me check in early after a phone call, offered good recommendations for around the area, and were good chat at breakfast.
Had all the amenities I needed in the room including hairdryer and drink glasses. Breakfast was simple but lovely. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable, I felt very at home.
Thank you for a great short stay!
- Rebecca (8/5): - Owners are very friendly and welcoming.
The house feels homely and gives a very English experience in the style of the building and decoration. Very comfortable. Breakfast was included which is a bonus and while basic, is is good quality. Lots of lovely books with information on what to do in the local area. Owners are also knowledgeable and helpful.
- James Brown (9/5): Pleasantly surprised very picturesque - Location perfect just short walk into town alongside the river

- Simran (8/5): Can't complain! Exactly what we expected with very kind hosts! - Breakfast was very nice with good timings to go get the food. The room was comfortable and clean and hosts very pleasant and helpful! Very noisy road at night which I didnt expect - seems to be on a main road so this did interrupt my sleep at times.

- David Alan Ramsbottom (9/5): -
- Rose (9/5): -
- sue (7/5): Lovely friendly b and b, let down a little by the uncomfortable beds. - The owners were really nice, definitely the highlight of the stay. They kindly brought is plates, cutlery and glasses to make our own supper, as we were too tired after walking all day to go back to town. Little touches like fruit and biscuits were very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Very clean and nice linen on the beds. We found the beds very uncomfortable, and there was a lot of traffic noise, although it quietened down after about 10 and we slept ok.
