Guest Reviews
- Alex Twigan (8/5): Sorrento da vivere - Appartamento ben allestito e completo di ogni elemento.
Direttamente sul mare con vista eccezionale fronte Vesuvio, con diversi ristoranti di pesce nei paraggi. Zona molto tranquilla e rilassante.
Staff molto presente per ogni esigenza. Niente da segnalare
- Justin (7/5): Conveniently located near the beach and a short walk to Sorrento center, the apartment had a few minor quirks but overal - The convenience/location to the beach. The apartment is quite narrow , so there wasn’t much space to gather as a group. Definitely worth mentioning if you are traveling in a big group.
We enjoyed our stay however there was lack of toiletries such as toilet paper and paper towels. We did end up purchasing some so not a big deal but definitely should ensure this is stocked.
- Jemma (9/5): Fabulous hideaway - The location is perfect. It's a really lovely quirky little hideaway in the best part of town near the beach and some exceptional restaurants. The views are wonderful.
Luca was great with check in and we had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable and the shower is really good. Being able to do laundry was great. The snacks, water and iced tea left for us was a lovely touch.
Highly recommended. It was absolutely fine for us but the spiral staircase between the bedroom and bathroom might not work for anyone with mobility needs.
- Robin (9/5): looking at the azure sea made it very special - waking up and sitting at the little breakfast nook on their deck over the ocean! And the same at sunset for dinner! Love all the locals! The restaurant owner knew our name the very next day! And hello every day
- Olivia (9/5): Stay here it is worth it - Our host Gianluigi met us at the location, helped us with the bags and showed us around and took us through the location handbook which was really clear. He also offers concierge should you need some ideas or help with your itinerary. We loved the location, it is right on the beach / port with several awesome restaurants ( I recommend Da Emilia - the ricotta ravioli, the grilled squid and the lemon cake were incredible). Obviously and to be expected there is local noise till around 11.30pm and again around 6am, but nothing crazy - easily blocked out by closing the doors and windows ( there is aircon). Main town Sorrento is 15mins walk, which is also beautiful and easy to access. If walking is not your thing you can get there by the local shuttle which is 1.50 euro. We went up when we were either going or coming back from Pompeii or Herculaneum ( the reason we stayed in Sorrento) but found it really touristy compared to down on Marina Grande which has a local store and cheaper souvenirs. The kitchen and laundry have everything, the bedrooms have clean sheets. There were some reviews I read on garbage confusion but it was really clearly explained by Gianluigi and in the handbook and so long as you correctly / logically seperate it you should have no problems.
- Anthony (8/5): Very good -
- Megan (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional apartment perfect location definitely recommend. Thank you Ettore most helpful with all - Bathroom toilet not on bedroom floor but quaint spiral staircase downstairs
- Jihan (9/5): We will be back! - The host was very helpful, he arranged for our car parking and was very useful with all the information we needed and made sure we had everything before he left. Nothing
- Brittany (9/5): Unexpectedly magical and fully worth the experience! - The location of this property is amazing! It is in Marina Grande located right by the water… as in like 30 seconds. If you are in Sorrento to relax on the beach, it is perfect. A lot of tours like snorkeling and kayaking meet right there are the Marina as well. There are also restaurants all over the marina nearby. We loved it because despite being touristy, it still had that small town feel with many locals. The tourists clear about around 7pm and if you want to do a night swim, you can do that almost entirely alone. Without realizing it, we also came during the festival of St. Anna. Our last two nights in town, there were not one but two fireworks shows. The second show was massive on July 31st!!
If you are not from the area, Marina Grande and the rest of Sorrento are in slightly separate areas. It’s a short walk up a paved trail and some stairs or you can use the shuttle bus that comes to the marina every 30 minutes for about 2 euros each ride (the price changed a few times haha but never more than 2 euros).
The property has comfy beds, great a/c in both bedrooms, a balcony with a nice view, and the shower has fantastic water pressure. After coming from Rome, I also have to say that the plumbing and cleanliness at this site was so much better than our stays in Rome. The host was easy to contact and very helpful.
If you have bad knees or have elderly family with you just be aware that the bathroom is down some narrow stairs. My friends and I are in our 30s so it didn’t bother us at all. The trash policies of the area are a little confusing but that’s Sorrento not the fault of this air bnb. I think the pamphlet that explains the trash policies could benefit with a clearer English translation if possible because there are some fines associated with not doing it correctly which ranged from 100-700 euros. Each of my friends interpreted the translation differently haha so we were so careful. We followed the nightly chart but also got very lucky that the fireworks show had trash cans out for every type of trash which made it super easy for us on our last night. Just be really vigilant about your trash so you aren’t fined. The place is totally worth it.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb - Location was great and just a short walk away from the City Center. The view was amazing, we loved being right by the water. The property was very clean and accommodated our family of four nicely. Hector was responsive and very helpful. I would definitely stay at this property again.
- Michelle (10/5): Great location - fantastic stay! - This was the best part of my entire trip to Italy! The apartment was spacious and had everything you would need. Great location right on the beach. Easy to walk to everything. My host Hector was absolutely amazing! He was so helpful with things to do and excursions. I would always stay there if ever in Sorrento again! Nothing. Everything was fantastic!
