• JAVIER (10/5): MARAVILLOSA EXPERIENCIA - Mi estancia de 4 jornadas (noches) en el Hotel Pura Vida de Valgañón ha sido una experiencia EXCEPCIONAL, en todas sus vertientes. El entorno es un valle tranquilo (pasa una carretera, muy poco transitada) y con una naturaleza hermosísima, en la cara norte de la sierra d La Demanda, justo en el límite entre La Rioja y Burgos. Bosques de Acebo, Roble, Hayas, Pino, etc., y agua que por todas partes baja de las cimas... es una maravilla. Valgañon no tiene más que un bar/restaurante, que para mí fue suficiente, pero bien cerca está Ezcaray (7 km). Y el establecimiento es una pasada, tanto en sus zonas comunes como en sus maravillosas habitaciones (cama, ducha, etc., todo de 10). Desayunos: 11 sobre 10, fruta, zumo natural, bollería, pan tostado con aceite, jamón, tomatito... jo! cómo he desayunado. Pero lo mejor sin duda es EL TRATO RECIBIDO de sus anfitriones, ASCEN & JAVI, que me han hecho sentir como en casa. Exquisitamente ATENTOS. RECOMENDABLE 100%.

Todo súper limpio, decorado con mucho mimo y muy amplia. Nada. Por decir algo mencionaría que podría estar bien tener una neverita en la habitación para poder tener agua y fruta fresca. Pero estoy segura que si le pides guardar algo que necesite refrigeración abajo lo harán sin ningún problema.

Das Frühstück war ein Genuss, die Walnüsse aus dem Garten unser Highlight. Viel Heiterkeit und ein kleiner Spanisch Sprachkurs waren im Service inbegriffen :-) Nuestras vacaciones en Valgañón fueron un sueño!

The hotel is just perfect and very stylish as was our bedroom. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was lovely. We didn't use the garden, but I could imagine it would be fab on a summer day for a barbecue. Breakfast was excellent, and nothing was too much trouble. I even had a cup of Twinings English Breakfast tea. We are planning a return, possibly next year, and will stay longer than one night. There is absolutely nothing not to like.

• Richard (10/5): Exceptional - This new boutique hotel was beautifully and lovingly restored by its owners in the tiny village of Valganon, about 10 minutes from Ezcaray. The on site young owners , who live next door, also manage the hotel and are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the region, places to visit, restaurants in Ezcaray. The one local restaurant was very good but only open on Fri-Sun, at least during October but there are also very good restaurants in Ezcaray. The hotel was immaculate. We highly recommend this hotel.

The breakfast service was amazing with great bread, croissants, cheese, jamón, fresh orange juice. the rooms were nice size with plenty of space. very well located to hike. I can go on and on about the fabulous service we received! The beds were a bit hard, but sleepable, we will definitely go back.

Se nota que tanto Ascen como Javi intentan cuidar hasta el último detalle. Sin duda alguna volveremos cuándo surja la oportunidad, ideal para descansar, iniciar excursiones y visitar Ezcaray.
