• Helen (10/5): Exceptional - The host was great! We had to queue for Machu Picchu tickers so would have missed normal breakfast time so he got up early for us! The next day he came and found us in the bus queue with a packed breakfast to take on the bus up!! Location is amazing right on the main street The rooms are a little damp if you use the shower a lot and can be loud with the main street but it will be like that anywhere on the main street

• Joe (9/5): Superb - The rooms were very nice, really comfortable bed, warm shower and good WiFi. Staff were nice and breakfast was good. Walking distance everywhere with bars/restaurants all close by Just very noisy, bring earbuds! The balcony door didn’t close properly and can hear a lot of the noise from the bars until late, might be best to ask for a room inside rather than street facing

• Yan (8/5): Fair price, well located, & nice family owned hostel - • very well located in one of the busiest street of Agua Calientes • good breakfast for the price you pay • warm shower & well furnished bathroom • seems to be a cute family owned hostel :) Nice staff, we actually booked another hotel we had to cancel very short notice because they didn’t had water. We booked Tayta 10min before we arrived for check in. • not actually an inconvenience but staff is only Spanish speaking so if you only speak English, you’ll have to find your ways to communicate :)
• Chia-chen (6/5): a place just for sleep - Good shower! hot water with good pressure! The staff don't speak english but seems nice. It's very noisy in the evening, cuz it's just in the street full of bars and restaurant. It only gives you one towel, no hand towel or others. Not that clean in many details. I don't feel comfortable as stay.

• Balazs (10/5): Outstanding stay - The staff was very helpful and fast we could understand each other even thought there was a little english speaking. We really loved the location and we could pay by card without any problem which is rare in the country. Moreover the hot water, wifi and the cleanliness were exceptional (also rare otherwise).

• Jan (3/5): They cleaned our room out. - It was okay We where late for checkout because of our visit to Machu Picchu. One hour late. The owner had taken all our stuff out of the room, and put it in plastic bags. So he went illegally in our room and cleaned it out. This is illegal, we didn't miss anything but we really felt uncomfortable he had done this. He went through our private stuff. Unheard off.

• Courtney (6/5): Cheap hotel in central Aguas Calientes - We found this hotel to be very dark and run down. The one window in the room faced into the hall, so we had to keep the curtain closed. The bathroom had mold on the shower mat and felt very dirty. Overall it was not a nice hotel but all we needed was a place to sleep before heading up to Machu Picchu. They did let us store our luggage in a secure area while we were in MP. However, next time I would probably just spend a few more dollars on a nicer property.
