They catered for our needs just exactly the way we needed. We had a delay getting to the resort, and the staff were super kind and picked us up at night. And the entire stay was relaxing, I feel recharged! The whole experience was unforgettable. Love the traditional Japanese food and the matcha dessert! I will come back 100% どうもありがとうございます

• Jennifer (9/5): picturesque, authentic ryokan experience - Ryokan Yoshidaya located beside a picturesque river provides an exceptional Ryokan/onsen experience. Its true the water quality is exceptional leaving my skin smooth and silky. The staff were very accommodating and the chef modified the dinner menu for us, which we really appreciated. It is a lovely location and I recommend a visit to Arita, a historic village which was the birthplace of Japanese porcelain. We were not used to the very steep stairs.

• Andreas (10/5): Fantastic Onsen Ryokan Experience - The full Ryokan/Onsen experience. Extensive facilities, like a bedrock bath that you don't find everywhere. The food was exceptional as expected, the chef was extremely nice and made us feel welcome. I would recommend to speak a little bit of Japanese to go here though. Nothing. It was great.

• Claudia (5/5): Enttäuschend - Das Essen war gut. Das Personal war zwar freundlich aber sehr unerfahren. Check in und Check out dauerten, beim Essen wurde gedrängelt. Man servierte den nächsten Gang, obwohl man noch nicht fertig war und ohne das Geschirr vom vorherigen Gang abzuräumen. Das Zimmer roch sehr unangenehm, was wohl auf die schlecht gewartete Klimaanlage zurückzuführen war. Die Toilette war so knapp vor die Wand gebaut, dass man nicht richtig sitzen konnte. Es gab keine Nachttischlampe, und um den Raum zu verlassen musste man sich um die Zimmertüre quetschen. Im Haus gab es keinen Aufzug und die steilen Treppen waren mit ziemlich ungeeigneten und zu kurzen Handläufen ausgestattet. Auch die Treppen im Onsen waren unzureichend. Sehr enttäuschend!

We booked a private onsen room which was apparently separated from the main building but it's only about 50 ft away and made for a more relaxing experience. Food was excellent and staff was very helpful. Public and private onsen were both very nice.

• JUN (10/5): - 一言で言うと最高のお宿でした。 スタッフの方の対応、お部屋、料理、とても良かったです。 ウェルカムドリンクやスイーツ、夜は美味しい日本酒も自由に飲み比べできて最高です。 お部屋には露天風呂と内風呂があり、両方温泉でとろみのあるお湯を堪能できました。 朝は少し早く起きて大浴場に行きましたが、こちらも清潔感があり広々としたお風呂で贅沢なお湯をいただきました。 食事もとても美味しく、恥ずかしながら好き嫌いの多い家族ですが全員完食です！子供にいたっては、夕飯を食べた直後に明日の朝ごはんが楽しみでたまらないと話していました笑 たくさん頂いて満腹になりましたが、上品な味付けで素材も良いせいか、胃もたれなどはなく、その後のお部屋でも楽しく過ごす事ができました。 チェックアウト後にもスタッフの方に家族写真を撮りましょうかと声をかけていただき、家族全員笑顔の記念写真を思い出にのこせました。 また機会があればぜひ泊まりたい。必ず伺いたいと思えるお宿です。 帰ってからも余韻に浸っています。
• MIKI (8/5): - 温泉の水が綺麗で気持ちよく入れました。 夕飯や朝食などの食事も美味しかったです。
• SATORU (8/5): - 以前は作務衣も無料で借りれたのが有料になっていて残念。部屋の冷蔵庫には冷凍庫も欲しいと思う。
• HARUMI (10/5): - とても素敵なお部屋で大満足でした。 泉質もぬるっとした肌触りが気持ち良く、 滞在中何度も入浴しました。 お食事は品数も多く、ボリューミーで お腹いっぱいになりました。
• Verified traveler (8/5): 若いスタッフの素晴らしい対応の宿でした - 若いスタッフさんの元気なお声がけ素晴らしい対応の方が多かったです。 お湯はとろとろで肌が綺麗になった気分でした。 レストランもお持と言うことで期待しすぎていました。 GWと言うことで忙しかったとは思いますが、 どんどんお料理が出てきた印象です。 夜はお品書きがなくお酒を頼むタイミングが難しいとおもっていましたが、 なぜか朝食にはお品書き。夜は忘れられていたのか？ 少し残念でした。
• Chi (10/5): A fabulous stay - We found everything was great here, the room, the private and public hot bath; the food and the staff. The location of Ryokan Yoshidaya is excellent. It is close to the river where it has a road of sakura. We had a perfect walk in the morning and the view was absolutely gorgeous. We stayed at Worikara, a villa just a stone's throw away from its main ryokan and a perfect place for us to relax and unwind after a day's hike. We liked the breakfast and the dinner which were rich in varieties and taste. Finally, we must give credits to the staff who served us. They were friendly, helpful and patient to answer our questions. The translation system in the mobile phones they were using was perfect to break the language barrier and in fact, some of the staff who served us spoke excellent English. Our only regret was that we had no time to visit its cafe. We would definitely stay at this ryokan again when we visit Fukuoka again next year. The reception counter is a little bit small but the lobby is very spacious. Check-in may be improved if some can be done in the lobby area. Some ryokans we stayed before served us at tables in the lobby area to complete the check-in matters.
• JINSOO (8/5): - Food, kindness, comfortable, cleanliness, location and family bath were all good. One disappointment is that there is no elevator going up to the 2nd floor accommodation. So, it is dangerous for old man like me to go up and down with heavy luggage.
• Misa (10/5): - 新婚旅行兼ねての旅行でした。 食事の最後にささやかなお祝いで手書きのメッセージカードまでいただいて本当に嬉しかったです。 スタッフどの方も笑顔で快く対応してくださいました。夜間に割り箸を部屋まで持ってきてくださるなど細やかな対応もしてくださりありがとうございました。 お部屋も清潔感あり、貸切風呂や大浴場も清潔でした！料理に関しても夫のアレルギーを伝えると別メニューで対応して下さり毎食楽しみでした。特に魚の煮付けが絶品でした。 また必ず泊まりたいです。ありがとうございました。

• Yong (5/5): Small room, poor dining facility - The room was really small. It was inconvenient climbing up a steep flight of stairs to the room. Dinner and breakfast was served in a cubicle that had poor lighting and no atmosphere at all.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable stay but unsatisfactory onsen. - The staff were super helpful and friendly. The dinner and breakfast were very delicate and delicious. The only downside is that the onsen was of poor quality, as there was only one small public pool for men. The space is very tiny and the amenities are not up to standard.

• Wenxin (8/5): - The Sakura room has a musky smell when we first entered. The furnishings are a little tired, but the beds are comfortable enough. The one thing we really liked was the dinner. A creative fusion of japanese-western.
• Nicole (9/5): A very memorable stay! - The whole experience was wonderful. My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. The staff kindly prepared a sparkler surprise with a thoughtful card. It was a suprise and very memeorable. The food was fantastic. The bath was relaxing. Highly recoomend. We stayed in Ori Sakura. It was very private and spacious. However, the staircase was a little scary and for my partner who is in his late seventies it was a little inconvenient to have to go downstairs from the bedroom to use the bathroom. Not recommended for older couples.

• HYUNJOO (10/5): 잘 쉬다 갑니다~! - 2박을 하는동안 편안하게 잘 지내다왔습니다. 보들보들한 물이 나오는 온천장도 좋았고, 아침&저녁 식사도 맛있었고, 무엇보다 직원분들이 친절해서 좋았어요. 아! 연세있으신 어른들과 함께하는 여행이라 높은계단, 어른들이 이해하기 어려운 안내표시가 좀 있긴했어도 만족도가 높았어요! 다시 묶고 싶네요~!

• Verified traveler (8/5): どうなんでしょう？ - 僕ら70過過ぎと65才過ぎの夫婦の宿泊でした。総じてゆったりとした楽しい時間を過ごす事ができました。が、気になった事ですが、同時に部屋へ移動するに老人と若夫婦の家族がいました。　が、階段の勾配がきつく上るのにお年寄りには大変だと思いました、下りは尚更です。　小生らも老夫婦ですので気になりました（比較的元気な僕らの夫婦では？平気でしたが）。　また部屋のお風呂快適でした、が１m近くある風呂桶の高さ、50cm近くの踏み台（風呂桶内にも同等の踏み台がありましたが、桶内の踏み台はグラグラでした）は若い人は平気かも知れませんがちょっと気になりました（老人はそんなに足を上げる事は難しい）。　周りの環境は最高で桜の季節でもあり一生分の桜を愛でることが出来ました。　色んな環境が素晴らしっかただけにもう少し老人への気配りをお願いします。 それと ロビーでの説明は概ね満足してますが、非常口の説明が全く無かった事が気にかかりました。　比較的小ぢんまりとした旅館ですので動線は少ないと思いますが（災害時に逃げる動線も無い？）不安に思いました。 大きな災難にならないようお願いします。

There is a cherry blossom tree right outside so I’d love to come back during the its season. I bet the view from the bathtub would be amazing. The room was a little old than expected but overall, it was a great stay.
