- Victor (7/5): - The location is great! Not even 10 min from the station by foot! The room was quite cold because the windows and doors lost lots of heat. Towels were a little thin. Also futon quite thin.

- CHENGWEI (5/5): -
- Tzuying (8/5): - Traditional Japanese house
Many Eco friendly shops around As it is old apado, the interior smells old
Near parking lot & main road, a bit noisy & live in first floor can't open window.

- Ana (6/5): - Its quite comfortable and the check in process is very seamless. Its old and subsequently not the cleanest. The room has a strong smell of tatami mats, so if you‘re sensitive to that keep it in mind.
- Sam Ma (7/5): -
- Nhat Lam (6/5): So so - Online instruction, you dont even see the staff or owner. Too old.
- Anderson (3/5): avoid if you care about cleanliness. - It was relatively cheap. Internet speed was fine. The place is really really dirty. Blood-stained futon, insects everywhere, mold-covered aircon. Only the shower room is decent.
- William (6/5): Cheap and satisfactory. - The location is pretty good, around 10 minutes from the station, near a convenience store and in a quiet neighbourhood. The reviews before mine sum up the place pretty well. The price was really good. For that price I’d book again for the night. The kitchen and bathrooms were good. The negative was the cleanliness. It would be better if the tatami was replaced and walls painted etc. The aircon needs cleaning!
- KUAN CHUN (10/5): -
- Yasuyuki (1/5): -
- Megan (1/5): Bad - We weren’t given enough clean bedding for our stay. The room was very cold and smelly. There was no lock on our door that we could put on when we were in the room and the main door to the property didn’t have a working lock.
- Ellie (4/5): Uncomfortable - Cheap, with linen and towels/shower products provided. Also a good location close to central Okayama. Sadly the property did not feel secure. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom, which did not have a proper lock on the inside apart from a small metal hook that we managed to fit into the door to secure it. The front door’s lock was also broken and so that was left open all day and night. Had I been travelling alone, I would not have felt safe to stay in this property. The room is also only lockable from the outside with a small padlock.
The property was also unclean, with dust and grime in bathrooms and rooms.
- Bartlomiej (9/5): Superb -
- Chak (7/5): Good - You will get what you paid for, and probably everything you need.
You get tons of clothes hanger. Very responsive water heater, definitely helped me in the winter. The doors are extremely loud and need some lubricating for sure.
Even with the tatami mats, it is not possible to get some good sleep if you are a light sleeper, would not recommend staying for more than a few nights. But for the price, really no complaints.
- Melanie (8/5): Overall, it was a nice place to stay. - I loved the futons. Very friendly staff. Great value for money. It has all the essentials The door was squeaky 😂. Not the best English on the signs but still understandable.
- Junalyn (8/5): Very good -
- Lenkšas (7/5): Good -
- Xin (1/5): Bad - It was well priced for what the accommodation was, and the host’s instructions were clear We didn’t feel that it was safe for two young female travellers to stay here. The front door had been left wide open at night and the bedroom doors were locked with a padlock from the outside. You could only lock the bedroom door from the inside with a small latch, like in Japanese bathrooms.
- Santiago (3/5): Poor - I met some of the "staff" and was super nice. I asked for suggestions to have dinner and they show me a few good places to eat. I say "staff" because I don't really know if they worked there or were just taking stuff from the hostel. Dirty, very dirty.
I tried to turn on the air conditioning heater and displayed and error. I looked online and it said the filter was clogged. I opeded the aircon and it was disgusting. I think they never cleaned the filter since they instaled that machine.
There was fluff in the windows, but not a little bit, the kind of amount it take months to accummulate.
The walls are paper thin and I could feel the vibrations of the aircon machine from other room.
- Florence (7/5): For backpackers, this is value for money. - Spacious with 2 rooms. Newly renovated bathroom and modern toilet. Quite close to railway station. The sheets are fresh and clean but the beddings need some sunning. Place is an old traditional building. The place desperately need some vacumning. The main door is quite flimsy, and not easy to lock or open. Some windows were broken and anyone can just peep into the house. Toilet on the 1st floor is not convenient if you stay downstair room.
- Juliette (4/5): Disappointing - The area is nice and the price was very cheap, I thought because I'd made the booking last minute, but on arrival I realized that I guess it's more to do with the quality and lack of comfort/privacy.
The staff were friendly and the sheets clean, but I think it's the building itself that needs a refresh. I don't have a problem with the traditional rooms, but the tatami was very damaged, with large stains, which isn't very pleasant, as were the walls. The building itself is not in very good condition, and because it's poorly soundproofed, you can hear a lot of outside noise, including the big road right next door. It wasn't a comfortable or relaxing stay.
- Rishma (8/5): Great stay for one night in Okayama - Easy check in. Good bathroom. Futon a little thin.
- Elsa (6/5): Pleasant -
- Federico (3/5): Poor -
- Jessy (9/5): Best deal in Okayama - Easy check-in, fridge kept food cold Stairs
- Lukas (7/5): Overall: you get what you pay for. Cheap stay in a good spot. - Location: great! directly next to a shopping street and close to the station
Facilities: toilet & shower are clean, shampoo & body soap is provided.
Room: clean, equipped with futons & towels
Kitchen: microwave, rice cooker, kettle & dishes are provided
Owner is happy to respond to questions via message Facilities: "warm" water switches between ice-cold and scorching hot in the matter of seconds
Kitchen: cutlery isn't provided. (just remember to bring chopsticks)
Wifi was a little slow sometimes, but mostly good enough to chat / watch youtube / doomscroll
Also I'm still not sure if I ever met the owner!? (he might be one of the residents 🤔)
- Amedeo (9/5): Superb - Wash machine at honest price. Kind staff. Far from concenience store.
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ariyan (6/5): You get what you pay for. - Small hostel, you get what you pay for in terms of the room. Bathroom and shower were good quality. Had the whole hostel to myself for my time there so. Great location backing into a shopping and dining alley with lots of great little shops - Mosquitos found their way into the room even with the windows all shut.
- Initial stairs were challenging with a suitcase.
- Jierui (8/5): Very good -
- Unai (3/5): Expensive for what it offers - Location was good, toilet and shower where clean. The room was tiny, it was advertised as a room for two but the two futons provided didn’t even fit one next to the other. No blinds so we woke up early. Also the walls and ceiling where pretty rusty and could use some painting. The futon was the most uncomfortable I’ve tried, really thin.
- Tyler (1/5): Scary, Awful, Dirty - Place was a mess, doors were locked, manager emailed me and send to "enjoy my time". I didn't even try to stay or get my money back.
- Daniel (8/5): Very good - Nice shower, toilet and room to sleep in with great air conditioning. Thin mattress.
