Guest Reviews
- Mario (8/5): - The room is nice and cozy it’s a rustic place. The room was clean a bit cramped but workable. The hotel is like on a small farm there are chickens and rooster, iguanas, lots of butterflies. The road to the river is rocky and when it rains it gets very muddy but this is the charm of a rustic. The staff is amazing
- Terry (10/5): - This is a very property and the staff is excellent. We enjoyed our stay and the river tubing was a lot of fun. I would recommend it.
- Gilles (10/5): - Price vs quality is good
- Philip (8/5): - Just one night but it was good, clean and restaurant with included breakfast was a nice touch.
- Xing (8/5): - The property is near the Rio Celeste ( walkable distance) in which you might swim in the river.
Staff is very kind, there is a fridge in the room.
- Stacey (10/5): Overnight stay, hiked Rio Celeste! - Super friendly receptionist and very helpful!
We stayed here so that we could be close to Tenorio Volcano National Park.
The motel was clean and met basic needs. The attached restaurant was good and offered typical Costa Rican fare.
We were not able to take advantage of the tours offered by at the motel but tubing looked like it would be fun.
- Juan (8/5): - The picnic area by the river was great.
- Siarhei (10/5): - Great no fuss place close to the local attractions.
It has a nice on-premises restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend horseback tours around the property- our family of 4 had a blast crossing the river and riding through the forest.
- juan carlos (10/5): - Muy bonito
- luz (10/5): - Me
- Dale (4/5): - Air conditioning broken. Front desk said they would refund our second night so we left 1 day early and booked another hotel. No refund and hotel not responding to us or expedia.
- George (6/5): - Room was tidy but sparse. All you get is the bare necessities (double bed and bathroom). But, the attached restaurant is inviting and the food was very good. The REAL charm of this place is the beautiful blue water stream a short walk away. Great for swimming, or even picnicking. Just make to time your walk when the grounds keeper isn’t leaf blowing, and blowing, and blowing…
- Marek (8/5): - Decent motel style place. Restauraunt okay. Rooms were a bit tight, but clean and served the purpose. Very nice walk down to river for swim in blue river. makes this a gem.
- Kimberly (10/5): - What a great hotel! Friendly staff, delicious restaurant and very clean and comfortable! We booked the tubing tour with them and it was amazing. Many farm animals at the neighbouring property to look at and about a min walk down to the rio celeste! Definitely recommend, we would stay again!
- Gloria (8/5): - Very close to the river
- Natalie (10/5): - We spent the first two nights of our trip to Costa Rica here and I couldn’t be happier with our choice. It is a great location to stop at if you’re on your way from Liberia Airport to La Fortuna.
The hotel, staff, property and on site tours were all exceptional! The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable with private entry. We absolutely loved the property with the farm animals and swimming area in the blue waters of Rio Celeste. We did the tubing and horseback riding and both were highlights of our trip. All the staff is friendly and welcoming. Restaurant has good food as well and the complimentary breakfast was tasty. If you have a chance to stay here, do it!
- David (6/5): Séjour rio céleste - Convenable. Cher pour la prestation. Aucun équipement dans la cuisine. 2 gobelets.
- Greg (10/5): - The staff was very helpful and friendly. Check in was quick and easy. Property is beautiful and great for birdwatching.
- Ivan (2/5): - This place is not good
- arieh (10/5): - Staff was very nice. Room vey clean. Nature beauty. Easy parking. Good restaurant on site.
- Jorge (10/5): - Beautiful surroundings. Staff was very friendly. The river in the back of the property astounding. The food at the restaurant was good and service was great.
- Rajeev (10/5): - Nice place . Value for money . Steven was very nice person . Tours arrangement were good . Room is good for the price we paid .
- Adrian (10/5): - Great place for the family!
They don’t have pool, because they have a river in the backyard!!! 😍😍😍😍
The “Río Celeste” is part of their amenities awesome and beautiful!!!
Also they are closer to the “Laberinto Katira” a great maze in the zone where you can spend a couple of hours enjoying the challenge of get out of the maze!
- Celeste (8/5): Great location, wonderful views of native species - Wonderful small hotel near Rio Celeste. Kendall could not have been more helpful and provided us with a personal evening tour of the local flora and fauna. Restaurant was good with friendly service.
- Jeffry (8/5): - Beautiful hotel clean and nice restaurant.
- prasoon (6/5): - Don't fall for the picture. This view/river is about a kilometer or more than half a mile from the hotel rooms. The pictures are very misleading and made me believe that the river is right by the hotel. The rooms are very crammed and no space to move around. The only plus point was the restaurant adjacent to the hotel served good food and had friendly staff.
- Stephanie (10/5): - I loved the friendly staff and relaxing, natural environment. The river was amazing and even saw a sloth!
- Javier (10/5): - Excelente servicio. Lugar cómodo. Buena ubicación.
- Malcolm (10/5): Very nice - Family run very friendly. The restaurant staff were exceptional. Only stayed one night as we hiked Rio Celeste in the morning. We also had a swim in the river on the property it was very picturesque. Recommend water shoes as the rock is slippery. If you have time they also offer horseback riding.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We spent one night here and the experience with the staff and management was excellent. If you really want to experience the real Costa Rican warmth this is one of those places. We will definitely be back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautifully located small hotel - We had a great time at this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of extra blankets and towels. The on-site restaurant had excellent food and service. The property as a whole was great. They have a huge farm with lots of animals we were able to walk around and look at. It was an easy walk down to the river where there were plenty of picnic tables and even bathrooms.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff welcomed us like family. Room was large, kitchenette, great a/c, clean. Took the reasonably priced horseback riding tour and the tubing tour with them and it was well run and so much fun. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and all of our needs were met. The hotel is family owned and operated and it was so refreshing. The location is easy access to Tenorio Park and other areas nearby. Huge property, walking distance to Rio Celeste with private swimming hole, and on site bird aviary to go in and enjoy the wildlife up close and personal. Meeting Seidy, Mauren, and their family was one of the highlights of our trip.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel made for a wonderful last minute overnight stay. Fresh breakfast was served in the morning and several activities are offered by the hotel, unfortunately my group only had time to go for a swim in the blue river, which was amazing!
- David (10/5): Great Stay - We had a great stay. The room was new and very clean with nice furnishings. Our room had a kitchenette which was well stocked for cooking. We ate a delicious hot breakfast each morning with four choices from typical Costa Rican breakfast to omelets. The location was good with easy access Tenorio Volcano National Park and Rio Celeste. An added bonus is the blue river runs through the property so you can just walk down from you room and go for a swim. The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful They helped us setup tours for other attractions in the area including white water tubing, Rio Negra and the caverns. Overall we had a great stayed and decided to stay an extra day to see everything and enjoy more time relaxing in the blue river.
