Guest Reviews
- Kathryn (8/5): Good value will stay again - Hot shower clean quiet, helpful staff for check in. ✔️ good heating. Pet friendly good price Fridge wasn't cold enough but we had our own car fridge so not really a problem
- Phil (7/5): -
- Kathy (2/5): Horrid. Avoid it at all costs - Not a lot to like. It was clean. That’s the nicest thing I can say about it Arrive to a place in total darkness. It was only 6 pm and I had told them that’s when I would arrive. Phoned the number and got a message to phone another number. Phoned tat and was told to leave a message. Found another number written on a sign and finally got a personal who told me to go round the back of the motel ( in total darkness) locate the hot water service and look through a basket full of keys to find one fore unit 1. Got inside. Tiny tiny room. Bathroom door didn’t close. The advertised cafe/ restaurant was permanently closed. Had to settle for a microwaved pie from the servo across the road
- Amanda (5/5): -
- Lenlen (5/5): -
- Elizabeth (5/5): Good for last minute stays - Good for a last minute budget motel. Small rooms, it's on the main highway so lots of traffic noise.
- Susan (4/5): Disappointing - Pet friendly. Water pressure. Large shower. No-one on site for checkin. Had to phone. Room unlocked. TV didn't work. Wasn't rectified until 2nd day. Bin in bathroom broken. Floor tiles had grubby grout.
No toaster. No breakfasts.
Floor of bedroom needed vacuuming.
The only window in the entire unit was above the only door. Made for a very stuffy room.
Website needs to be updated to remove breakfasts, toaster & cafe on site has moved to Angaston!
Disappointing stay all round.
- Maria (2/5): Very disappointing - It was beside bakery.
Room was clean Noisy airconditioner.
No bed linen when we arrived.
Old fashioned and unloved
- kay (2/5): Frustrating - It had a microwave, kettle and utensils but no bowl or plates.
Nice firm pillow.
Water was hot and shampoo, conditioner, soap supplied.
Had a working air con. No information when booking about how to access the room.
On arrival at 3pm or so there was no-one there & the cafe wasn't operating.
Ph no on the door didn't work. I found a no on the booking form and contacted the owner through that.
He said the door was unlocked. I just wanted to shower and lie down on the bed after a long day. Then found that there were no sheets etc on the bed. Had to wait until 6pm for these to arrive, as their washing machine had broken down. (Why no spare sheets as only 5 rooms?) Another couple next door also were waiting for sheets & others turned up also not knowing how to access rooms. Worker was apologetic but....Only got given 1 bottom sheet & a sheet type thing for the quilt, which only covered one side of the quilt. Very unhygienic as sleeping directly on the quilt which obviously isn't washed after each quest. Felt very grubby.
Highway noise as motel fronts the highway but not as bad as expected.
- Jodie (10/5): Perfect little spot for one - Room was like a home away from home, perfect for one/two ppl max. I didnt require a space with all the bells n whistles & this perfectly met all my needs. The shower was AMAZING with the high pressure! Staff were super friendly & brought me fresh linen straight out the dryer as they had been booked out for days & I didnt tell them a specific check in time, they wanted to make sure everything was fresh on my arrival. After a long day at work this was exactly what I needed. Everything was spotless clean & cosy. Will definately book again when I'm out that way, highly recommend. Just a few steps to the Truro cafe for the perfect morning feed & coffee before work topped off an exceptional stay. If I had to really nit pick & this is being trivial, not alot of places to eat at night if you dont want the pub or basic servo food across the road, drove about 12-15mins down to the Barossa Roadhouse who delivered exceptionally good hot food.
- Rory (1/5): - Reason the highway for a wick getaway Unkept
- larson (5/5): -
- Kim (5/5): - Clean No idea how to operate TV.
No idea where to get food
- Kurt (2/5): Black mould - The price was cheap, but there was a reason unfortunately I didn't like that there was black mould on the roof of room 1 and the room smelt musty and of mould. Unfortunately we checked in after 8 and were too tired to complain to management. We got out of there ASAP in the morning to limit our exposure to the black mould
- Katarzyna (1/5): Do not recommend as the will rip you off - Nothing, extremely disappointed I was ripped off by paying $125 and I did not get to stay the night at all.
I waited almost 1 hour and nobody was there at all, I rang and emailed multiple times and got no answer at all.
I'm extremely disappointed and will be demanding my money back or I will be going to the ombudsman.

- Terry (8/5): -
- Tommy (10/5): - Good Google
- Carmel (8/5): Nice and clean , good bed , - Helpfull Folding door needs attention
- Janet (4/5): - Location and price Air con heating not working and 0degree Celsius night, bar heater as a substitute but cord too short for unit to operate on floor. Glass panels in entrance door let any heat out and cold draughts around door, needs sealing tape. Extra blanket needed for those conditions, and insufficient heating.

- Gregory (8/5): One night stay - Very friendly staff and very clean room and bathroom also the food was great ! 👍 No complaints about anything
- Peter (8/5): - Small, but very clean and comfortable accomodations. Truck noise through town at night can be a little annoying.

- Caroline (3/5): - Nice location, I am sure with a bit of upgrading this would be a nice place to stay. Unfortunately the air conditioner in our room did not work, the bathroom was very run down and difficult to shower in unless you are very small, There were no spare pillows or blankets in the room and there was only two pillows on the double bed. The Bed moved around a lot and was not attached to the bed head behind it. The door has a window above it and a sensor light goes off if someone is outside which led to us being woken up at night and probably somebody else when we left before sunrise.
- Ana (1/5): - Nada Chegamos tarde da noite, não havia ninguém para nos entregar a chave. Ficamos esperando alguém atender o telefone por mais de 1 hora. Péssima experiência. Não recomendo nunca mais.
- Peter (4/5): Disappointing - The motel is in process of changing hands. I was lucky new owners were there doing refurbishment otherwise there wouldn’t have been anyone there to give me room. Old owner still responsible for room hire but he was nowhere to be seen. Right on highway so noisy with trucks all night.
- Jacqui (6/5): Stop over on a bike trip. Basic but clean. - Cheapie but you get what you pay for Bed is on wheels and it rolls all over the place every time you move.
We were only given 1 towel but 3 bath mats. Obviously a mistake but there isn’t staff on the premises so couldn’t really rectify it.
- Kate (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Corey (8/5): Very good -
- Payne (9/5): Michael's Truro sta - I liked the very clean room and friendly staff. The rusted Toilet Roll holder 😔. and there were no restaurants nearby as the Truro Hotel was indefinitely closed for the time being.
- Wesley (9/5): Quiet, cosy and peaceful - Awesome for our requirements and peaceful Nothing
- Christie (7/5): Good - The room was basic but clean. Great shower pressure.
- Charles (1/5): Bad -
- Stephanie (8/5): Very good - A very basic setup, dated fittings, but the place is historic, and suited us fine for an inexpensive choice of accommodation in the pricey Barossa V! Toured easily from Truro over 2 days. V comfortable bed, and quiet even though on highway. Office didn't operate, but cleaner onsite provided access. Communication via text and phone call.
- G (7/5): Very convenient location and price. - The location was great and easy to find for a quick overnight stay before heading to Adelaide airport early the next morning.
- Jade (6/5): Did the Job - Convenient location No wine glasses in a wine growing region
- Harris (7/5): Good - Ease of check-in & access.
Good clean functional facilities. Bed wheels aren't lockable so beds slide all over the floor.
- Frank (7/5): The room was ok all be it very small - Great location Microwave not working. TV not tuned in properly
- Natalie (8/5): Very good -
- Margaret (1/5): Very unpleasant and would not recommend to anyone. - Nothing Everything. Nobody at reception at all in whole 4 night stay. All the facilities were empty. Had to ring to be checked in and to get toilet paper, tea bags, rubbish bags etc.during our stay as no housekeeping was done at all. Noisy and run down. Outside looked dirty and untidy. Photos were inaccurate. Assorted crockery and cutlery only. Had bowls but no plates, but no dessertspoons. Shower door was off rollers and tiles coming off the wall. Tv remote didn't work, floor boards had moved and left gaps. The bed slid away from the wall when you leant on it. Very unsatisfactory stay. Would not have stayed the 4 days if they hadn't taken the payment in advance.
- Jack (5/5): Passable -
- Arthur (6/5): Pleasant - Could not get the TV to work, too many remotes and a message came up on screen saying the antenna was not connected. Inability to work hi tech TV's is not uncommon in motels but a simple on/off switch and channel changer is all that is required. I ended up watching on my computer via the internet.
- Roseann (8/5): Very good -
- Lheene (3/5): Poor - Need to update photos on booking.com as the place is looking run down and abandoned. The motel has closed down with only rooms available by calling a number to check in. Information in room was also outdated.
- Omega (9/5): Superb -
- Letitia (5/5): Passable -
- Andrea (9/5): Superb - On the main road with walking access to everything we needed. A great, cost effective place to stay while being in a central position to visit surrounding towns.
- Mel (7/5): Good -
- Douglas (7/5): Overnight stay for concert at nearby winery. - Easy booking. Clean facilities. Close to Bakery. Reasonably priced. The shower door needs a new roller. Only shampoo and soap was supplied. No Conditioner or Body Wash. No wine glasses.
- Fenech (8/5): Very good -
- Vanessa (10/5): Great little motel, nice cute room, will definitely come again - This was a cute small motel just what I needed for a 1 night stay, all I would say is 1 small thing is maybe a curtain over the front door even though you can't see through I just thought that bit extra privacy but, that will not stop me from coming again, I love small country motels, and the owners catered to my need because I could not get there to late evening so that helped, Thanks so much P.S the WIFI had good coverage considering my mobile internet wasn't so good, that was a bonus
I don't know what people are complaining about some said no food available, well its a small town you should be prepared in advance for that, and most hotels like this don't have a full kitchen for a reason, it had a fridge and kettle/microwave, my air conditioner worked perfect, I got in contact with the owner and he was very helpful, now a days you don't always see anyone at the reception so that is why we have mobile phones. and complaining about the room being so small, (book at a bigger hotel then) as you can see the hotel is not a fancy expensive big hotel, this is a small country motel so you can't expect large rooms.
- Ezis (9/5): Superb -
- Victoria (7/5): Good -
- Shane (5/5): Passable - Noisy at night as on Main road through town
- John (8/5): Very good - It was clean and tidy
- Symone (5/5): It was good. - The beds were comfortable and the shower had great pressure. The staff aren’t even there
- Roger (8/5): Very good -
- Roberts (7/5): Good -
- David (5/5): Would have given a higher score if negative aspects were operating correctly. - The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the water hot. Could not get the TV or AC to work (and it was cold). Shower sliding door is off its runners.
- Stephen (7/5): Good - A few issues checking in
- Stephen (7/5): Good - Large fridge, microwave, tv comfy bed On a truck route , a little noisy but ok
- Jonathon (8/5): Clean comfortable and relaxing - N/A Face to face reception
- Kieren (9/5): Superb - Lovely staff, nice big rooms with comfortable beds and split system heater for the cold night
- Rose (5/5): Passable -
- Wesley (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff and helpful with recommendations for food Nowt
- Michelle (5/5): Passable -
- Deborah (6/5): Pleasant -
- Saransom82 (9/5): Superb - Janine was very welcoming and great to deal with, made check in a breeze N/A
- Gale (7/5): Good - Good value for the price paid $115, a clean comfortable bed, clean linen, clean facilities, bath 🛁 ,and a pleasant sleep, and a pleasant interaction with staff Wouldn't have minded a TV, Tea and coffee facilities offered were very basic, but again I guess adequate for the price, I think there was a double booking as I was offered a room, that wasnt the original room booked, and was asked to pay more than I had paid for, I didn't pay extra in the end as I had prepaid in advance prior to arrival,
- Kapil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (1/5): Not as Promised - Door to bathroom not wide enough for doorway. Therefore unable to close, therefore no privacy.
Shower door broken so bathroom flooded.
Bed on wheels so rolled around the room.
Headboard not attached to the bed.
Opened condom packet on the floor.
Inadequate kitchen.
Insufficient crockery and cutlery.
Website / Facebook and outdoor signage claimed cafe and Indian restaurant but it was just an empty, dusty dirty space.
- R (8/5): Adequate for a one night stay. - I could have done with a bedside table.
- Anne (8/5): Very good - It was clean, tidy and suited my purpose. The water pressure in the shower was exceptional
- Anthony (6/5): Pleasant -
- Subham (4/5): Disappointing -
- Margaret (1/5): A shocker. Should not be on Booking.com site. - Nothing. There was no-one at reception when we arrived. They didn't seem to have a record of our booking, although it was booked and paid for 3 months earlier. A man who had keys to the rooms turned up and let us in to our rooms.
The rooms were very small and poorly equipped. TV didn't work at all in one of the 2 rooms we occupied. Cleanliness was questionable. When I had a shower there was a strong smell of drains.
The worst quality I've ever encountered.
- Brad (5/5): Passable -
- Brett (7/5): Good -
- Brett (7/5): Good motel -
- Ben (9/5): Superb -
- Katherine (1/5): very poor quality - nothing everything
- Cathy (7/5): Good - Great location A little noisy with traffic
- Michael (2/5): We would never stay here again. - It was clean The room was tiny, no space even for one bedside table despite bed being pushed against wall. There was a microwave and toaster but no electric kettle and milk was 3 months out of date. The room opened directly onto gravel car park and had no window. The toilet was too close to the opposite wall so if you were 6ft tall you would be struggling to use it! There was no restaurant/cafe attached and only an old pub in the town which offered basic meals.
- Ian (7/5): Good - Nothing there of foods No service of any kid
- Jim (2/5): Very poor -
- Christian (1/5): Grim - Nothing This is a failed Indian restaurant masquerading as a hotel
No restaurant, couldn’t locate room key or any staff on arrival.
Woeful
- Stephen (6/5): Pleasant -
