Guest Reviews
- Eleonora (10/5): Gorgeous place to stay - Everything ! An amazing place to stay. Every detail was perfect for us during our Camino fully recommended, plus the staff especially Ines was so profesional, helpful, and welcoming (unlike other places we stayed in..) fully recommended I wished we stayed longer Everything
- Rafael (8/5): - Great old house renovated with a lot of charm and character.
Calm and quiet! Good food but limited options (only set menu)
- Annette (6/5): -
- Rainer (8/5): -
- Buen desayuno.
Servicio muy atento.
Instalaciones y entorno magníficos. Alguna pequeña deficiencia en el mantenimiento.
- José Manuel (10/5): - Tranquilidad

- Liv Elfi (8/5): Very nice place indeed, but please fix the minor issues with the food. - The villa and the scenery. The dinner, except for the glutenfree bread, was tasty and served with lokal produce. If you have gluten- or lactose intolerance, I advise you to call ahead, and make sure they can arrange some suitable options. Frozen and then heated gluten-free bread, turns into a brick in minutes, and you might brake a tooth. Lactosefree yoghurt should not be a problem either, when you can keep it in the fridge for weeks.
- Michele (10/5): Beautiful stay in Camino - It was so very majestic and beautiful. The property was quiet, elegant and impressive.
The food was so delicious and healthy. The staff were very attentive, polite and helpful.
- Shaghayegh (10/5): -
- Peter (6/5): -
- Leonor (9/5): Lovely, beautiful, delicious! - Staff was wonserful, dinner absolutely delicious, the location beautiful, the room very clean. The only problem I had was the set up in the actual room. The split-level configuration of the room and having to descend stairs was particularly difficult after our 5th day on El Camino. Stairs in the actual room.
- Servat (9/5): -
- Maria Eugenia (7/5): - Había olor a orina proveniente del armario. Era algo intenso.
- LORENA (9/5): -
- Theresa (10/5): Beautiful accommodations and amazing hostess! - Out in the countryside with all the amenities. We were greeted by our hostess who made us feel comfortable and allowed us to store our bikes in her storage. Dinner was fabulous. Nothing
- JOSE R. (8/5): - We loved the place, great food. Our room didn't have air conditioning but the temperature was ok
Vorrei tornare in vacanza, molto attenti i gestori è dire poco.

- Katherine (9/5): Beautiful property, staff was great. Wonderful picnic breakup - Beautiful property. Food was delicious. Rooms were good sized and comfortable. Just off Camino, but not bad distance. They packed us the best picnic breakfast and had it waiting for us, plus coffee in the morning since we were leaving very early. Need more than one outlet next to bed. Had to unplug the light to plug in our devices. There were two of us traveling and one had to charge across the room.
- Gitte (10/5): Majestic stay, lovely rooms, food great - Lovely place, perfect for recovering from the camino Liked it all
- Maria (10/5): A very restful and relax stay at a beautiful period building. - It is an amazing old PAZO but with all the modern facilities, and also keeping the Pazo,s history in the rooms, corridors, entrance, gardens. It would be a fantastic place to host a wedding or social events. Fantastic and warm swimming pool! Nothing
- Carmen (10/5): Will be back - Beautiful location
Beautiful service N/a
- Dungs (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional - great swimming pool, and excellent cuisine, with local products, and Galician recipes, with a twist.
The rooms were spacious, and the beds very comfortable.
- Donna (9/5): Amazing venue and lovely staff - An amazing place to stay overnight from Camino walk. And fitted in output friends at short notice .
Made to feel very welcome. Ines? was very helpful and tried to sort out the slight problems we experienced In the apartment annex, the shower was blocked and leaked all over the floor.
- Thomas (10/5): Wonderful stay along the camino - Gorgeous setting
Beautifully prepared food
Charming and well restored property
Lovely common spaces Piano needs tuning
- Annie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edward (9/5): Very Nice Stay - Very clean and comfortable, really good dinner and breakfast. Interesting history behind the property.
- Michelle (10/5): Superb in every way. - Just superb all round!! Such a Gorgeous estate! Grand home. Rustic charm... the Manager was very accomodating, sharing the property history, the plans for property. The food absolutely devine. Just what needed after a long days walking the Camino, the previous 4 hours in the rain! So worth the short diversion from the main Camino trail. Nothing!
- Sims (10/5): I highly recommend staying and eating here for an indulgent relaxing experience. - Beautiful sedor and property! Dinner was excellent and the restaurant was very attractively designed. We appreciated the laundry service and professional massage service was available. Good breakfast also Nothing
- Colette (8/5): Very good - Water in the shower was not easy
to control. One minute freezing cold the next scalding hot
- Margarita (8/5): Beautiful grounds, all else is ok. - This is a beautiful property that is situated away from the main town. I had to taxi from the Camino as it is not centrally located. It does provide peace and quiet in a beautiful setting. The staff is mostly not to be found other than at check in; the water in the shower kept getting cold even for a short shower; to connect to WiFi, you need to change your phone settings; some of the plugs in the room didn’t work; and the breakfast that people raved about (included) is toast, yogurt, juices, cereal and some meats and cheese. Adequate but not great.
Dinner time was only after 8 because they said they had a big group there together so it was buy snacks before 6 or dinner after 8. I ended up eating snacks which were tasty but expensive compared to the Camino.
- Sarah (10/5): - This is a lovely country inn in an old farm compound. The service was very good as was the food. Very comfortable and a good value.
- Jamie (10/5): Exceptional - This is just what we needed after walking almost 40,000 steps on Camino. The room was delightful. The staff was as well. Felt out of a movie set. Just amazing! And the food was exquisite! This should be an award-winning chef. He’s so talented. It was a special place!
- Gavin (10/5): Exceptional - Only very rarely do you come across somewhere as beautiful as the Pazo de Sedor. Phillip greeted me at the door by name (we had never met before) and throughout my stay, showed a remarkable degree of professional and friendly attentiveness, going well beyond the call of duty to make my stay perfect.
I thought things couldn't get better but then I tasted the exquisite food Bruno prepared. He is a master at producing the most wonderful menu, mostly from local ingredients.
Do yourselves a favour and book into the Pazo de Sedor. It is exceptional.
Thank you to all involved in making my stay so memorable.
- Doug (10/5): Great experience. - Gave me the opportunity to experience what it must have been like living in a palatial old family home. Nothing I didn't like.
- Reed (10/5): A Palatial residence with everything you might want - It's like staying in a very comfortable museum. A 400 year old house with its features perfectly preserved. Quite remarkable. And the staff and food are also incredibly good Nothkng
- Helen (10/5): An oasis of tranquility. Absolutely perfect - Everything. It would be hard to overrate this property. What a joy to discover. The buffet breakfast was well priced with a great variety on offer. The set menu evening meal was also well priced, generous portions and delicious. Best of all the hosts, Inez & her Aunt were delightful. Do yourself a favour and book now 🤩 Nothing.
- Michael (9/5): A lovely stay. - Staff. So attentive and friendly.
- Choong (10/5): Our best place to stay during our entire camino, what a charming historical building with excellent staff and also a goo - A charming and very well restored 17th century pazo which is now a hotel that is managed by the daughter of the family which owns the property. The first floor is like a historical museum that shows how a typical pazor in the area was built back then and furnished with the family’s antique furniture and decorative mementos.
Rooms are clean, large and comfortable. Very quiet, peaceful property with a swimming pool and padel court. What a great and tranquil place to relax after walking the camino for us.
A 3 course dinner and or breakfast buffet is offered at very reasonable price and the quality and taste is as good if not better than any of the best restaurants along the camino.
- Sidonie (8/5): Very good -
- Iliana (10/5): Don’t miss this amazing hotel. - This hotel could easily be a museum; everything has been well curated. If you have an extra day don’t doubt to spend it here. This hotel is a perfect oasis for a rest day in el Camino. Better coffee would be great, but other than that it’s perfect.
- Peet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kimberly (10/5): Lovely country inn - It was as a beautiful country inn. The staff were very friendly. It was quiet and serene.
- Willow (10/5): Beautiful 1700’s house converted to a beautiful hotel. I would definitely stay here again and recommend! - It is beautiful! The staff is amazing. The dinner was delicious! I did not realize this property wasn’t on the Camino path, so had a hard time finding it. I was on foot. I ended up calling and the young lady was so kind, she came and picked me up. I was only 5 minutes away by car, but I had already walked many many miles that day on the Camino!
- Paula (10/5): Perfect castle to spend a week. - Everything. This place is very in the top of the top. Place is stunning. Good it is extremely abundant and delicious . It is perfect. I loved it. I liked everything. It was perfect.
- Buford (10/5): This was a lovely stay! I wish I could have stayed longer! - Such a beautiful place!
- Mariana (10/5): - Beautiful place, room was great, we got to enjoy the pool, walk around the property and enjoy a great dinner. This was a great stop in the Camino. And while it took an additional 1km of walk, was totally worth it!
- Kelly (10/5): We had the most amazing stay and wished we could have stayed longer! - We stayed as a group of 12 who were walking part of the Camino. To say that our stay was amazing is an understatement. The accommodation was fabulous, clean and very comfortable. The staff were so helpful and pleasant. We also dined there and the food was outstanding. This is the 2nd time we have stayed as a group and we will be back again. Thank you to all of the staff for making our stay a memorable one! Not a thing everything was superb.
- Cremades (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erik (10/5): Exceptional - Nice pool
Welcoming young staff who want to go the extra step… Place could easily be upgraded to an extra level (price category), but for price it’s a bargain.
- Audrey (7/5): Beautiful old house - Beautiful common areas like being in a museum. Too far off the camino route.
- Julian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelli (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margot (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (10/5): I arrived very sick. They let me check in early. I was able to sleep all day. They even went above and beyond to help me - The hospitality and the kindness
- Francisco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (10/5): Perfect place to relax and disconnect - The entire property is beautifull Dinner options, good but not much variety
- Sandy (7/5): Good -
- Kate (10/5): Perfection in every way - We loved this hotel. It was stylish yet retained its ancient charm. The staff were friendly, it was peaceful with a beautiful outlook over the countryside, large well appointed rooms and DELICIOUS dinner and breakfast including local delicacies. We would come back here in better weather to enjoy the pool, views and tranquility ❤️
Apparently the sunsets are magnificent too which we would like to witness on a more relaxing break. We are hiking the Camino this time so less time to linger but what a place to linger even for a short while x Nothing
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional -
- Palmer (10/5): Exceptional - Dinner was excellent. We had to leave early in the morning, but they left a small breakfast for us and some goodies to bring with. The property is magnificent. We could have stayed another day just to chill there, but we had to move on to Santiago de Compostela The billing was confusing and we accidently left without paying (we had to settle the account over the phone 2 days later). Although they did have a credit card on file from Booking.com, they needed it to actually pay for the room. Throughout this trip, it was unclear to me which accommodations were billed and paid for through booking.com and which ones I needed to take care of with the proprietors. I think Booking.com can do a better job of clarifying this to both the proprietor and the client. When both parties are aware of the arrangements during check in, the finances can be addressed at that time.
- Ruth (10/5): Exceptional - History. Beautiful architecture.
Delicious food. Friendly help. Hard to find. Off the trail by about 3 km.
- Ginny (10/5): - The staff was very professional and friendly. The food was tasty and elegant. Unfortunately, using cell phones was difficult.
- Judith (9/5): Superb - Everything was great, very beautiful facilty. They had promised breakfast, but no one was around at 7:30. So had to start my walk without food.
- Marcela (10/5): Pazo de Sedor is a beautiful hotel, we had a wonderful dinner and very good breakfast. The staff was very friendly, defi - It is a beautiful hotel, we had a wonderful stay
- Ed (9/5): Rural romantic resting place. - Beautiful rural setting with great views. Historic building over 400 years old - very atmospheric and charming. We stayed as part of our Camino walk but it would be a lovely place to come for a quiet break. Just a little bit more attention to cleaning some surfaces - v small amount of dust on higher surface. But v minor. It was well maintained and comfortable through-out.
- Klaus (9/5): Superb - The swimming pool Breakfast only from 8.00
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- De (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pauline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martinvsimpson (9/5): Superb -
- Martha (9/5): Superb -
- Brenda (10/5): - A really cool restored estate home- warm, elegant touches, and super accommodating staff. I use a wheelchair and there was a lift to the rooms and ramps around the property. Only negative is that it is NOT right on the Camino Frances- it’s about a 1 mile walk off and uphill. Loved it once we were there but it wasn’t clear from the description.
- Fiona (9/5): Superb - Food and hospitality amazing
- Maritza (9/5): Superb -
- Tania (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angeles (5/5): Dissapointing. - Great facilities in a beautiful location. Poor service, there was no qualified staff to welcome and service guests. Is a shame, the beauty of the place deserves good service. just to give you an idea, the waiter/receptionist assigned us a room that was occupied - the same person, when asked what is in a “caldo gallego” suggested that I look it up in Wikipedia.
- Angeles (5/5): could have been better - the facilities the service
- Tonya (10/5): Great property. highly recommend - beautifully restored, yet very modern. clean and quiet. very accommodating and friendly staff A bit far off the Camino and 4 miles outside of the village but the quiet serenity was worth it.
- Kate (7/5): Good - swimming pool and historic building mosquitos and poor food and weak WiFi
