• Eric (5/5): Diesem Hotel fehlt die Seele. Der Gast steht nicht im Mittelpunkt - Die Lage ist hervorragend Sehr schwierige Parkplatzsituation. Kompliziertes Frühstück mit schriftlicher Bestellung. Zum Teil zusätzlich zu finanzieren, obwohl Frühstück inbegriffen. Rauchen nicht einmal im Freien auf der Terrasse vor dem Hotel gestattet. Keine Lobby, wo man sich treffen kann. Restaurant mit sehr speziellen Gerichten - muss man mögen. Wird überschätzt und überschätzt sich selbst.

Abbiamo parcheggiato la macchina nella piazza antistante. Se con c'era posto dovevamo lasciare l'auto nel parcheggio loro privato , a 25 euro la notte. Ci è andata bene.

• José (10/5): Una joya en Bergamo - Habitación de 10, amplia , nueva y con un baño increible. Hotel construido aprovechando parte del castillo, precioso y con unas vistas increibles El acceso a la zona del hotel es un poco complicado con carreteras muy estrechas pero tampoco fue un problema

Silent and pleasant environment. Breakfast was amazing, food galore and all Sorts of breads, fresh fruit and All you could order from the menu. Dinner at Cucina, the on site restaurant, was A good experience too with tasty creative food. A place to return! Nothing to say.’ Just a “thrill “ to drive on the narrow alleys en route to the hotel ‘s covered garage. Not for the faint hearted! But the view is splendid!

• Claire (10/5): The most stunning hotel and felt for the price it was an absolute bargain. - This was the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in and such good value! It was beautiful. The room was massive with doors you could open out to see the amazing views and the showers were the best! The attention to detail made it feel like a 5 star hotel. The staff were genuinely lovely, and really personable. Breakfast was fantastic. I was gutted to say the least that we only had one night there after staying in Lake Como first, so we will definitely return and Bergamo Citi Alta is just amazing! I can’t recommend this hotel enough. I almost didn’t want to put this review on in case they put their prices up! It’s so special. Nothing.

• jkgayley (10/5): A really nice place to stay close to Bergamo Alta - A plush luxury relais right next to the Castello San Vigilio, the highest hill in Bergamo Citta Alta (we actually had to walk steeply downhill to get to the Citta Alta; most people take the funicular.). But the location is great, and the area right around San Vigilio has its own charms and great views of the surrounding hills, and Bergamo Alta and Bassa. Nice room, quiet, very attentive staff and a great breakfast service. Lovely outdoor areas. Parking included. I’d stay there again.

• NicholasBolte (10/5): “On top” - An experience of the special kind! Nestled between remnants of an old Venetian castle on top of the Città alto this recently renovated place is more than just a hotel; “relais” seems the right term. We occupied a very spacious room in an adjacent building and were in awe of our surroundings and the view. All clean and practical, friendly staff, and a fantastic breakfast - not the usual buffet but exactly what you ordered the night before. Arriving by car is not for the faint-hearted though: the way to the top is adventurous and there’s limited underground parking. But there’s a funicular near-by that takes you to the Città alto. And: a separate restaurant (“Cucina”) in the main building offers the best of what regional producers offer, prepared with a twist and lovingly explained by the staff.

Le petit déjeuner est fabuleux Les équipements ne sont pas à la hauteur d’un hôtel 4 étoiles - sèche cheveux de mauvaise qualité - Absence de room service - pression de l’eau limitée - Absence de bouteille d’eau à l’arrivée (petite bouteille d’eau PLASTIQUE payante dans la chambre) De plus l’hôtel est situé au plus haut de la ville, une navette aurait été la bienvenue

• Mehmet Emin (1/5): - I was absolutely not satisfied with our stay at this hotel (4 nights, 5 days). The staff were extremely rude and unhappy, turning what should have been a relaxing vacation into a stressful experience. Every time my family or I needed something, we asked with hesitation, afraid of how the staff might react. It’s a real shame, because the hotel’s location is truly beautiful — situated in the most charming part of Bergamo, on top of the city, with a wonderful view. The building itself is lovely, but unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the people working there. Breakfast was also quite disappointing. There was no buffet; instead, every morning you had to fill out a form indicating what you wanted to eat, and they would only bring that. The options were very limited, and the service quality was far below what one would expect from a hotel of this level. In short, if you’re looking for a relaxing stay and friendly hospitality, I recommend looking elsewhere. But if you don’t mind a cold atmosphere where no one smiles, then this hotel might be just right for you.
