Guest Reviews
- Thea (10/5): Always a pleasure to be here!! - We love staying at Lora! Nothing!

- Patricia (9/5): - The room was wonderful: Big, modern, comfy bed and big shower. Loved the make-your-own-lemonade and free water. Located near my favorite store and many restaurants. The only problem is the traffic noise. Lora is located right at the last stop light in town, so motorcycles and semis are especially loud as they rev up to go up hill.
- Amber (10/5): -
- Kelsey (7/5): Moody hotel, great location. Not worth the higher price tag. - Very aesthetic, cozy, moody, great location. Didn't know there was breakfast - was there? We almost got bullied into paying for valet parking when there were plenty of other options in town. Our view was nonexistent - there was a building less than 3 feet from our window. There were only blackout curtains so we couldn't really open the shades and the room was quite dark.
- Deb (10/5): - Friendly staff and a nice place to stay. No complaints
- Christopher (7/5): It was a nice hotel, the beds were comfortable, which is what we really value - good location too. - bed was comfortable and great location Rooms are a bit small and had no views
- NOAH (10/5): -
- TYLER (10/5): -
- Mark (4/5): see above - The location was great walking to coffee and shopping was great. The value of room comfort to dollars spent was not equal. Rooms were small with little place for clothing items. The room temperature was difficult to control therefore the nights spent were not comfortable. We were not asked at check in if we wanted the room to be serviced and cleaned so it was not and my daughter and her 2 year old were in a room where the trash was not taken out and no clean towels were added. When I asked for towels I had to follow a staff member myself to the 4th floor linen closet to get clean towels for 2 rooms. For the money spent on 2 rooms for 2 nights I would have expected more upscale and better service. We were guests at a wedding with many events so I never had time to express my concerns to anyone in management during my stay.
- Melissa (10/5): This hotel is cozy, full of character, and well worth the stay. - Very cozy hotel. It was close to everything and had a coffee shop and many restaurants right there. I loved the space outside the hotel to sit and drink coffee, and enjoy the scenery. The decorated rooms were fascinating and cozy. Maybe a card in the room stating when check out is. I just wasn't sure about that. They did answer my question about that when I asked. There isn't much I didn't like. I would like to stay here again.

- Chiara (9/5): Beautiful hotel in the heart of Stillwater! - We loved stay here and for sure will come back!
Room are comfortable, new, great taste in design and bathroom very big and comfortable
- Brett (5/5): The Lora felt like an overpriced hotel that’s more focused on the appearance and aesthetic than being welcoming, comfort - Location was great, walking distance to everything. Staff was strange and not very welcoming. Parking was not explained well and valet was very expensive. Shower had 3 bottles of conditioner, no shampoo or body wash. Room smelled weird and the air unit was very loud
- Laura (10/5): - Location
Everyone was very friendly and helpful
Valet was very convenient *
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Luke (10/5): Super cool place to stay at, everything was great. - Very clean and nice. The staff were very friendly and the bar attached to it is great. Had to pay for parking
- Misty (10/5): Great location and excellent room! -
- Shayne (10/5): -
- Richard (6/5): - Location Price
- mike (1/5): - When we checked in Lora had no record of our reservation. I showed them my confirmation number thru Booking.com but they still couldn't find my reservation. I then noticed another email from Booking.com stating my reservation had been cancelled. I never requested my reservation to be cancelled. Luckily they still had a room and we paid Lora Hotel directly and spent the night.
Please let me why my reservation was cancelled and who requested the cancelation.
- Alexander (8/5): Lovely stay - Love the location. Our first room, the showers was dirty and they were very apologetic and upgraded us to a balcony room which was fabulous. The staff were very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.
- Kristina (10/5): -
- Rick (7/5): - It's in a great location. Bottled water daily. Comfortable beds. Coffee shop next door. Could use better overhead lighting in the rooms and would be nice if they offered daily housekeeping services.
- susan (7/5): Nice hotel - Nice looking rooms, and comfy bed. Good location in town. The windows allow a lot of the people and car and motorcycle noise of Stillwater into the room. Noisy late at night and early in the morning. Little information about where to park, other than paying $30 for a valet in a small town!
- Dave (10/5): -
- Heidi (10/5): - We enjoyed the restaurant and historic vibe.
- Les (10/5): - Upscale boutique hotel. Pet friendly. Very walkable in lovely Stillwater.
- Erin (10/5): -
- Eric (10/5): - Highly recommend the lovely Lora Hotel in Stillwater!
- John (7/5): - Excellent location. No closet.
- Brittany (10/5): - Amazing and helping staff
- Catherine (10/5): - This has been one of my favorite hotels EVER. I'd rank it top 2, my only regret is I wish I spent 2 nights instead of one. Very quaint and right at the start of Stillwater. You can walk towards the river with the bridge leading you to Wisconsin or walk right down Main Street. Staff were very nice and helpful at the front desk, attached restaurant + bar and even the little coffee shop next door. Plus, the rooms are charming and very clean and spacious. I can't wait to go back to Stillwater and this will be the hotel of choice every single time.
- 668brennae (10/5): Best choice in Stillwater - Lora is a beautiful hotel with a lot of character and historic charm. Located walking distance to downtown Stillwater, location can't be beat. Staff and rooms are great, cute, & very clean.
- Stephanie (10/5): Must stay Lora - This was a really chic boutique hotel. I loved the exposed brick and wood from the former lumber mill/brewery. The bed was was more comfortable with nicer sheets than the average hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful at every interaction.
- Carol (9/5): -
- ppr2322 (10/5): Great character, location, quaint, stylish and clean. - Ideal location at beginning of Main street shops/restaurants and next to an outdoor steep 150+ step stairs that serves as workout for locals and visitors. Hotel stylishly melded modern into an 1800s building. Accommodations made for a comfortable stay for short wedding trip to Stillwater.
- William (10/5): - Nice
- Thomas (8/5): -
- Vanessa (10/5): - Beautiful hotel right in the heart of everything. Quick walk to lake, surrounded by restaurants and shops. Loved this stay.
- scott (8/5): - Nice or

- Leon (10/5): - VERY NICE PLACE!
- Ensz (10/5): Beautiful property, fabulous beds, wonderful staff! Highly recommend!! - Historical hotel with the most beautiful rooms!! Beds were amazing! We had a balcony to the street which was nice! It was my birthday when we stayed and the staff was so awesome!! Had some birthday chocolates awaiting us in the room!
- Jennifer (10/5): - I really enjoyed the amenities and comforts, especially the espresso coffee!
- Merle (10/5): The Lora is a small boutique hotel with great views of the river and access to the main street. - No breakfast provided. Nespresso machine in the room and coffee shop and restaurant on premises. Great pastry chef working there. Buttery and delicious!
- Elisa (10/5): -
- Carolyn (10/5): - Great location, friendly staff and loved the coffee shop and Fedder restaurant!! Best Eggs Benedict ever!
- Sara (8/5): -
- Brooke (10/5): - Neat little place in a convenient area.
- Kelly (8/5): Nice hotel and room but would not pay full price - Very cool old building Convenient location but very noisy on main street
- Kurt (10/5): - Great service!
- Amanda (8/5): - Only downfall is the parking. You can valet or I believe there is public parking a few blocks away. We did valet option for ease. Overall great stay and would go back!!
- Vanessa (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful Hotel - Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Stillwater. It was very walkable to all of the bars and restaurants. It was a great value for the price. Very dog-friendly.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dean (6/5): - Staff was cold, unfriendly
- Christos (8/5): Very good -
- Gregg (8/5): - Loved the stay. Quiet and clean. Friendly staff.
Didn’t appreciate the additional, hidden charges for parking and room amenities.
The coffee shop in the hotel served luke-warm coffee - instructing my wife to use the microwave to heat her coffee when asking for a hot coffee.
- Steven (9/5): Superb -
- james (10/5): - The Lora is our go-to place for a delightful night out. From the warm reception to the great room to the welcoming restaurant and bar, it is always a restful, satisfying stay. Even Walter the golden retriever offers a warm wagy-tailed hello or goodbye. We’ll be back soon!
- Chris (10/5): - Stayed July 4th. Great time in Stillwater. Beautiful property.
- Shad (10/5): Everything was wonderful 10/10! - Front desk staff was so friendly and accommodating, she even came up to deliver the valet ticket when I forgot it and they had great suggestions for restaurants and shops to visit-- we felt very well taken care of. It was my girlfriend's birthday and I happened to compliment the raw stone finishes in one of the pics in the website and asked if it was possible to get a room like that one, so they just upgraded us to that exact room for no extra charge-- so nice!! Everything was great!
- 699kristis (2/5): Will not recommend - Horrible service! Will not return or recommend to anyone.
Our two dogs were traveling with us, from what I understand they were to be greeted with a bed, dish & treat, that didn’t happen.
Didn’t receive breakfast that was to come with our stay.
We asked for a bellman to load our things into our vehicle & he rolled the cart to our vehicle and stared at us, we gave him a tip & loaded it ourselves.
- Joseph (10/5): - Nice place, great location but parking is tough. Use the valet parking
- Andrea (9/5): The staff at the Lora are top notch! - We loved all the extra touches that no one would think about!
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Excellent
- Ronald (10/5): - Hotel, service, etc was outstanding!

- Keller (10/5): This place is a must for any stay in Stillwater. - Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a great spot with easy walk to all of downtown Stillwater.
- Lynn (10/5): - Beautifully appointed boutique style hotel within walking distance from everything!
- Kara (10/5): Perfect location, beautiful property, very comfortable and clean. - Property was beautiful, great location, comfortable and very clean. Loved having cold bottled water at the entrance. The staff was so very friendly and helpful. Only complaint is lack of hangers.
- Jill (9/5): Superb -
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (10/5): - Lovely spot, perfect for shopping & exploring the quaint town. The room is luxurious & staff beyond helpful.
- Brenda (10/5): - My only concern was need better lighting in bathroom, otherwise awesome place.
- Barbara (5/5): Mixed. Service overall was sub-par. - Decor. Funky & warm, not sterile like so many hotels these days. Gave me the wrong wi-fi password. Tv didn’t work; they sent someone up to fix, then it didn’t work again the next morning. That coffee shop they sent us to was really not ready for prime time; they served me a breakfast sandwich that was a mangled mess, very slow service, waited on friends who came in ahead of those of us who had been waiting in line.
- Tracy (10/5): - We enjoyed everything about the hotel, especially the restaurant, bar, and coffee shop. And we really liked sitting out on the patio in front. So relaxing!
- Amy (9/5): Great Stillwater Location - Fantastic location! Charming hotel and walkable to everything in Stillwater. Very clean, and the shower was terrific. The view was beautiful from our room. The hotel itself was very quiet. Rooms were small and cramped for the price. We had a great view, but there was a lot of street noise from the road.
- Tanner (10/5): Exceptional - Love the vibe! Great location. Nothing
- Chad (10/5): - …
- Nicolle (10/5): - What a beautiful property and wonderful staff! Best spot in Stillwater. We are there often and will be back! Dining excellent, beautiful rooms well appointed. LOVE!
- Linda (10/5): - Highly recommend. Enjoyed MADE coffee and pastry in quiet lovely dining area. Recommend the salmon, our waiter explained all the entres , very personable. Valet service helped unload and load our car. We stayed 2 nites and loved the thick stone walls
- Louise (10/5): - It was very unique in that they designed the rooms around existing limestone walls of the former brewery.
The manager, Victoria, was so accommodating and personable.
- John (10/5): - Great location and friendly staff!
- Melissa (10/5): A 10! Lovely bathroom, very comfortable mattress and location is perfect! - Lived the attached coffee shop and restaurant! Chairs in room were aesthetically pleasing but not really comfortable.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chad (10/5): - Great
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful. Historical.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Gem in the heart of Stillwater - Exquisite setting, decorated beautifully. Wonderful restaurant, bar and coffee shop, tons of history. Absolutely would stay here again!
- Gail (10/5): - The whole atmosphere is an absolute delight. Highly recommend. I will stay here again.
- Almaraz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rene (9/5): Very comfortable hotel… Excellent showers and beds… Bring your lightweight pajamas! - Fabulous beds and shower… Wonderful staff. Love the bar and restaurant. It is an old building, which is a lot of its charm however it is very warm. We set our thermostat on 67 and the room was 72. I realize you can’t regulate stone buildings very easily.
Recommendation, how about a standing fan in the room. Even my husband was warm.
- Ashley (8/5): - I love the Lora and have stayed numerous times. My room this time was nice and quiet and clean. I appreciated being toward the end of a hallway too. I love the hotels location being right on the south end of town it’s walkable to everything. The only issue I had on this visit was with the thermostat. The room was set at 74 and took hot for my liking. I prefer to sleep at 68-70 degrees so because I was warm I didn’t sleep well. I tried adjusting it multiple times but the room never cooled down and only increased in temperature. Still enjoyed my stay and will return next time I need a staycation!
- Christopher (10/5): - Great place. Nice, clean and comfortable
