Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec une immense gentillesse par Nadia et son mari, des personnes adorables, chaleureuses et toujours disponibles. Leur accueil nous a immédiatement mis à l’aise et nous avons vraiment ressenti l’hospitalité marocaine. Un grand merci également à Amina, qui s’occupe du riad avec beaucoup de soin et de professionnalisme. Toujours souriante et attentionnée, elle veille à ce que tout se passe parfaitement durant le séjour. Le riad est magnifique, très propre, calme et décoré avec énormément de goût. L’emplacement est parfait pour découvrir la médina de Fès, ses ruelles authentiques, ses souks et toute l’ambiance unique de cette ville incroyable. Le petit-déjeuner inclus était excellent : généreux, frais, varié et typiquement marocain. Chaque matin était un vrai plaisir avant de partir explorer la ville. Pour les autres repas, nous avons profité des nombreux restaurants et spécialités dans la médina, ce qui a rendu l’expérience encore plus authentique. Nous repartons avec de magnifiques souvenirs et nous recommandons le Riad Sanaa Rose les yeux fermés à tous ceux qui souhaitent vivre une expérience chaleureuse et authentique à Fès.

• Eusebi (10/5): Un Riad tradicional al centre de la medina amb un tracte excepcional. - El més extraordinari ha sigut el bon tracte que ens ha ofert la mestressa, la Nadia. També, l'Amina i el marit de la Nadia. Ens han tractat com si fóssim família i ens han ajudat en tot el que ens ha convingut, i més. Un tracte personalitzat excepcional. No crec que, en cap altre Riad de Fes, ens haguessin tractat tan bé. Per altra banda, l'allotjament és una casa tradicional d'una certa categoria i poder-hi viure uns dies, és un privilegi. És com si et deixessin viure en una casa-museu. Els acabats no són de molta qualitat, però tot té molta autenticitat. I per descomptat, la situació del Riad, al centre de la medina, és perfecte per viure intensament un Marroc que jo creia que ja havia desaparegut. Depèn del dia, fa fred a la terrassa a l'hora de sopar. Quan fa bo, és molt agradable menjar-hi. Normalment, a l'hora d'esmorzar, s'hi està molt a gust.

Von der ersten Minute an merkt man, dass hier alles mit großer Liebe zum Detail gestaltet wurde. Die Renovierung ist wunderschön gelungen, die Authentizität der traditionellen Architektur bleibt vollständig erhalten und macht das Riad zu einem echten Kleinod in der Medina. Für mich war es nicht nur der erste Besuch in Marokko, sondern auch meine erste Reise alleine  und ich hätte mir keinen besseren Einstieg wünschen können. Nadia hat sich von Anfang an um alles gekümmert. Sie organisierte eine reibungslose Abholung vom Flughafen und sorgte dafür, dass mein Gepäck durch die verwinkelten Gassen der Medina bis zum Riad transportiert wurde. Am nächsten Morgen begleitete sie mich sogar persönlich zum Treffpunkt meiner Stadtführung, damit ich mich nicht verirre. Diese Fürsorge hat mir so viel Sicherheit und Vertrauen gegeben. Das Frühstück und Abendessen, das Nadia, ihr Mann und Amina täglich frisch zubereiten, sind einfach köstlich und runden das Erlebnis perfekt ab. Die Begegnung mit Nadia hat meinen Aufenthalt in Fes zu etwas wirklich Märchenhaftem gemacht. Jederzeit wieder !

Le sourire et la gentillesse de Nadia et Amina, elles sont de superbes hôtes, nous reviendrons les yeux fermés. • Felix (8/5): Authentisches gut geführtes Riad mitten in der Medina - Amina hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen, uns auf die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten aufmerksam gemacht und sich angeboten bei Bedarf von Guides oder Hammam zu unterstützen. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, geräumig und das Bett bequem. Das Morgenessen auf der Terrasse war vielfältig und sehr fein. Das Riad liegt mitten in der pulsierenden Medina, was beim Weggehen oder Heimkommen jeweils mit 10 Min. Fussmarsch verbunden ist. Die Treppe im Riad ist mit grossen Gepäckstücken nur schwer zu meistern.

• Godl (10/5): Ein wunderschönes, sehr sauberes Riad in ruhiger, zentraler Medina-Lage mit herzlicher Betreuung! - Wir waren mit unserem Aufenthalt im Riad Sanaa Rose vollkommen zufrieden. Das Riad liegt sehr gut in der Medina von Fès: ruhig, aber dennoch zentral, mit Restaurants in der Nähe und abseits der stark touristischen Gegenden. Die Unterkunft war extrem sauber, liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr schön. Wir hatten das Riad sogar ganz für uns alleine, was den Aufenthalt besonders entspannt gemacht hat. Ein absolutes Highlight ist die wunderschöne Dachterrasse mit Blick über die Medina. Wir haben es sehr genossen, dort zu entspannen. Amina war unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch ohne gemeinsame Sprache hat die Kommunikation problemlos funktioniert. Außerdem haben wir einmal im Riad zu Abend gegessen und das Essen war hervorragend und sehr zu empfehlen. Eine klare Empfehlung, wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!
• Alfonso (8/5): Riad tipico in ottima posizione - Ottima posizione, struttura tradizionale, autentica, pulita e accogliente La colazione ottima e molto "ricca": per 5 giorni abbiamo mangiato succo d'arancia, banane e mele fresche tagliate e condite con yoghurt, frittelle fatte in casa, marmellata di arance, the, pane, burro e formaggini. Grazie ad Amina che ci ha aiutati anche a organizzare alcune uscite guidate nei luoghi di nostro interesse fuori Fès. Vista la stagione la struttura era molto fredda. La stufa veniva accesa solo per la durata della colazione e spenta immediatamente dopo...nessuna possibilità quindi di sfruttare lo spazio relax comune.

The Hotel is located on one of the main streets, so it was easy to find after a short walk around the streets of Medina. If you choose to take a taxi offered by the hotel upon arrival, it will take you to the nearest point to the hotel, but not quite there, as the hotel is located in a pedestrian zone. A local will be waiting for you at the taxi stand to take you to the hotel. Google Maps does not work in the medina, but you can trust the locals. Always have cash on hand in Medina.

Chi gestisce il riad non parla inglese, impossibile comunicare tranne che in arabo o francese, non ci sono termosifoni ma uno scaldino al bagno e un termosifoni elettrico in camera che fa un rumore infernale. La porta di ingresso alla camera ha fessura aperta. Da dive entra freddo e soprattutto anche gli altri ospiti possono vedere dentro la camera,abbiamo dovuto arrangiarci mettendo valigie e tende all interno. Avevo organizzato delle escursioni con loro con guida italiana e al mio arrivo mi dicono che il tour era in inglese , ho dovuto rimediare come meglio ho potuto disdicendo tutto e trovando al volo un alternativa. Fes è tutta in salita e il riad dista dalla porta blu dicendo fare tutta una salita. La mattina del check out siamo partiti presto come nelle altre città del Marocco e a differenza di tutti gli altri riad, non ci hanno fatto la colazione take away. Non consiglio!

Miss Amina is lovely, helpful and very careful to the needs of the guests. The breakfast was very good and the view from the terrace is amazing. I felt so comfortable in this riad, that I could spend agreable time there, without going out. But actually, around the riad in the Medina was very beautiful too.

• Thomas (9/5): Ausgezeichnete Wahl - Nadja und David sind großartige Gastgeber. Ihr kleines Dar liegt toll, ist landestypisch schick gestaltet und hat eine schöne Dachterrasse. Auch der „Salon“ ist sehr gemütlich. Man kann auch lecker essen. Nur zur Sicherheit für Reisende die nicht gut zu Fuß sind, der Aufstieg zur Dachterrasse ist etwas beschwerlich.

• Stefan (10/5): - Ein wirklich unfassbar schöner Aufenthalt, es war unser erstes Riad und es war alles vorhanden was man brauchte, wahnsinnig toller Service, tolles Essen und der beste Tee in ganz marroko den man mit einer fantastischen Aussicht auf Fes, mitten in der alten medina genießen kann von der Dachterrasse. Wir können das Riad uneingeschränkt empfehlen, der Eingang ist etwas unscheinbar und schwer zu finden, aber es gibt auch ein Schild, wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Realmente muy cálida su atención. Las instalaciones no fueron suficientemente cómodas. No tuvimos donde acomodar nuestras pertenencias de viaje. Tanto la habitación como el baño resultaron ser pequeños.

Recomiendo vivamente este Riad . No me gustó la habitación que estaba en la terraza y para llegar había que subir muchas escaleras. Asi si tienes algo que te impide subir las escaleras no es un lugar para ti.

• Lien (9/5): Superb - Salma and her mother were very friendly and helpful if we had any questions regarding the area. They were also very nice to our 2 year old son. The breakfast is freshly made. The room is nice and clean, the shower has amazing pressure and warm water. Riad Sanaa Rose is located in the middle of the medina so this is perfect when you want to explore. The bed was to hard for me, so not very comfortable.

Selma made sure we were comfortable and went out of her way to accomodate us. She even booked a taxi and a tour for us, both of which were great! The location is great (in the middle of the medina) but hard to get to by car. The dinner was delicious but expensive compared to the surrounding restaurants
• E (9/5): Superb - A beautiful riad in the center of the medina. A quiet place tucked away in a side alley. Breakfast was good, the room was big and the terrace had a beautiful view of the city. A bit cold, and the location is not where Google maps tells you. The actual location is next to Chrabliyine mosque.
• Oona (10/5): Exceptional - Me and my friend were so well cared for while staying here, we had fantastic breakfast and dinners each morning and night, and they were so accommodating about timings. The portions were massive and the food was delicious. The location was in the centre of the medina, not too far in so you couldn't find it but far enough in so you are away from the chaos of the blue gate. It is just off one of the main streets of the Medina so really easy to find your way around.
• Adam (7/5): Good - The riad was in a good location in the Fes medina, although had a bit of trouble finding it because the location in Google Maps is slightly wrong -- eventually the staff met us in a nearby parking lot outside the Medina and walked us there. The location was convenient for making stops between activities throughout the day. The rooftop terrace was nice, but unfortunately the weather was rainy during our stay so we weren't able to fully enjoy it. The included breakfast was substantial and good (similar to everywhere else we stayed in Morocco), and the in-house dinner was very good as well. Though the staff was very accommodating, the additional costs throughout our stay were not clearly communicated. Prior to arrival the staff invited us to a home-cooked couscous dinner on our first night. We agreed to join, but upon arrival we were told the couscous had run out and that it would be a tajine dinner instead. The meal was a lot of food and very good, but we regretted not asking the price up front. Upon check-out we were told it was 200 dh per person (and additional 280 dh for a bottle of wine & 2 cans of beer), it was by far the most expensive meal we had in Morocco. We also used the laundry service at the riad. To our surprise, the staff initially told us it would be no charge, but then charged us 50 dh at check-out. Lastly, at check-out we were told only 80% of the cost of our rooms was payable by credit card, which resulted in us needing to make an extra trip to the ATM. All in all the stay was good but all the extra charges were not clearly communicated and left a bad taste in our mouths.
• Jackie (9/5): Gorgeous Riad with lots of character in friendly, safe neighbourhood. - Decoration, authenticity, art, character, location, terrace, hosts, value for money. Set price dinner was confusing and very expensive for 160dh each for some salad and chicken kebabs. We only ate in once. However, the value for money for our lovely room was great. The tea shop just outside the road door makes the best mint tea in Fez! Location is safe and friendly. Room is cleaned daily, hosts are really hard working.

• Maarja (10/5): Beautiful riad in the best possible location to explore Fes. Excellent staff - We would especially like to thank Selma and her mother who were so kind and friendly. We suggest ordering dinner in riad as it was delicious and served on their beautiful roof terrace. Note that the price of child’s v bed is not seen in final price on Booking but is put in little writing in the end of terms and conditions.

I am vegan and they made an effort to accommodate me on breakfast! Room was a bit warm but the staff was very helpful and directly placed a fan :)
• Maria (10/5): Amazing host, quiet, beautiful riad with amazing views from the terrace - Ali went above and beyond to to help us with everything, he made our stay wonderful. He adviced us about everything, help us to buy a sim card, find directions and booked the taxis for us and took us to the driver. Incredible host. The riad was beautiful and quiet, only a few bedrooms and the first couple of nights we were on our own in the entire building so it was super private. Amazing views from the terrace which can be used anytime. The room and toilet were very clean and the room was clean everyday, towels changed, etc the lady even hung out clothes and tidy up the room for us! The location is perfect, in the middle of the medina at about 10 minutes walk from the blue gate. Breakfast was lovely but overpriced. We saw 2 cockroaches however the room and toilet were spotless.

The door hinge was busted. While one staff member seemed to want us to have a good stay, the other member was not concerned with much but ensuring payment.

• Jose (7/5): Good - Kindest staff. Good breakfast. Daily room cleaning. The Riad is really pretty. Guy from reception came to meet me in the gate of the Medina and took me to the Riad. Location is great to visit the old Medina, but Fez is a hill and the Riads/Hotels inside the Medina are not reachable by car. Therefore, if you carry heavy luggage on or travel with children, this riad is not the best choice.

It was over priced and couldn’t speak properly and didn’t show all the sites. took us to stores to shop with highly overpriced goods. if we stoped on a shop we like something he told the shop to increase price. yuk it was pretty bad experience.

• Beatriz (8/5): Very good! Super nice staff. - Abdul is extremely nice, caring and welcoming, he was waiting for us when we arrived around midnight, and was there when we left early morning too. The riad's reception area is beautiful and the room was comfy and quiet. The bathroom is really nice too and has a good shower. We were there only for a night and left early, so we didn't try the breakfast. Nice view from the terrace. It would be nice if the room had another side table where we could put clothes and things like that. The terrace is an amazing space. However, it looks a bit abandoned with tore curtains and a bit dirty too.
• veronique (4/5): - A peine arrivées et installées dans notre chambre, on nous demande de partir car la chambre était réservée par d autres personnes, je réussi a avoir la patronne de l hôtel au téléphone et là je n en revient pas , elle me dit quelle ne travaille plus avec expédia que ce sont des voleurs car ils font des promos sans avertir les hôteliers, et qu elle leur a envoyé un mail pour annuler ma réservation, ( réservation faite 10 jours avant). Je lui dis que j ai payé 6 nuits et que ces problèmes avec expédia ne me concerne pas, a partir de ce moment elle a été très agressive, en me disant que ici nous n étions pas en France mais au Maroc, si je n étais pas contente elle me virée sans me trouver un autre riad. Impossible de continuer cette discussion, nous sommes envoyées dans un autre riad pendant deux jours, pas du tout la même prestation de chambre. de retour au sanaa rose ou nous n avons jamais vu la patronne car reparti chez elle en france , nous avons été reçu par un nouveau employé vraiment super Mohamed grace a lui notre fin de séjour c est super bien passé, ce riad est vraiment bien sans sa patronne. Nous avons appris par la suite qu elle avait logé des membres de sa famille dans notre chambre. aucune excuses n y geste commerciale, elle a juste fait passer le message a Mohamed pour pas que nous oublions de régler les taxes hôtelières avant de partir. Je conseille tout de même ce riad, mais de confirmer avec l hotel avant d arriver.
