CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: Please note that there is active construction taking place at the Resort Monday through Saturday. As the construction proceeds, guests may hear periodic blasting and drilling, equipment noise, and experience occasional dust from construction. This work starts no earlier than 7:00AM. Your patience and understanding is sincerely appreciated.
Please note, this Resort offers limited suites that are designated as pet-friendly. If you are planning on bringing your pet, you must contact the Resort directly to check availability. We cannot guarantee that a pet room will be available upon arrival without prior arrangement. Guests who bring pets into unauthorized units will face a charge of $500 to deep clean the accommodations following their stay.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

- Martin (10/5): Family Holiday - Sooke point was an amazing place to stay. We have stayed in some exceptional places all over the world however Sooke point is probably the best place we have stayed in, for just the wow factor. We stayed in the 2 Bed Ocean View apartment and the view was just stunning and watching the seals & otters from the balcony was just amazing. Also when you factor in the quality of the apartment with massive comfortable beds super clean everywhere and every detail taken care of we were only disappointed they we didn’t stay longer. If you want to switch off from the world and just relax bring your provisions (food & drink) and just soak up the luxurious apartment & view. Definitely coming back in the future. Nothing however Sooke Point would benefit from somewhere to eat when the resort is finished. Or maybe somewhere to buy groceries.

- Max (1/5): Not worth the hassle - Be aware that this property will charge guests for even minor damage after checkout, so expect close inspection and possible extra charges. The hotel is also an active construction site, which was not clearly disclosed at booking and negatively affected the stay. Although the room had a bathtub, the hot water supply was insufficient to fill it, making the bath unusable. Finally, the bed is extremely uncomfortable, and the pillows offer very poor neck support, making it hard to sleep comfortably. Overall, between the strict damage charging policy, undisclosed construction, and comfort issues, I would advise others to be cautious when booking.

We booked two separate rooms and clearly informed the hotel that these were separate reservations with different credit cards, yet charges were applied to my card without consent. After a child’s accidental nosebleed, we responsibly brought the stained bedding to the office to be washed. No one informed us that any charges would apply. Later, I was billed over $40 for a pillow, treated as replacement rather than normal cleaning. Although this charge was eventually refunded, other charges (a broken glass and undisclosed taxes) were still taken from my card — even though they related to the other room. Unprofessional handling and poor customer service. I would not return.

- Dascenzo (9/5): A wonderful place to visit and relax for a weekend - The cottage was beautiful and well apportioned. The location was absolutely gorgeous and although everything was at least 30 minutes away, it was worth it! There were a lot of stairs, which I wasn't expecting, but that's relatively minor. The road to the site was a bit windy and felt unsafe at times, but that's hardly the fault of the resort.

The 2 bedroom condo was very comfortable and had everything you needed. the glass sliding doors are spectacular and hanging out on the balcony is amazing. Hard to believe but there was nothing that we didnt like, Even the construction did not produce any noise and there is a big disclaimer on the website, but it did not impact us at all. Maybe we got lucky.

We booked a Pacific View and were given Room 48C (top floor of the three). The place is heavily under construction which was not posted. The TV did not work properly and the fireplace gave off zero heat...just for show. Fridge leaked and the bedroom and bathroom doors squeaked alot, which woke up people
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful, but is it? - This place is as beautiful as it is remote. It was amazing views, beautiful cottage, it had everything except the food that you bring yourselves. I can't think of a place that a pair of binoculars should be in each cottage. They had a beautiful knife set...not one sharp knife. A nonstick frying pan wouldn't hurt either. You are inundated with emails before during and after you leave. Their online check in is atrocious, and the kicker is that they're building Phase 2, and when you're trying to have a lazy morning in paradise, it sounds like a war zone outside! Also you're immediately inundated upon entering your cottage you're assaulted with a giant list of DON'TS! Don't do this,don't do that,and the finale of your stay after paying several hundreds of dollars a night, they want you to haul your garbage and recycling up the hill to their garbage site!!!??? IN WHAT WORLD????!!! Absolutely ludicrous!

- Thomas (9/5): Beautiful cliff side cottages - Neat little cottage apartment. Beautiful view as you walk in through the front door, was stunning. Well equipped. It may be a little ways away from town, but you can easily prepare yourself to stay for several days, everything you need in the cottage. The resort is undergoing heavy construction of additional cottages. So much so, that during one of the days we were napping in the beautiful bed, when we heard pounding at the door and when I went to answer it, one of the construction workers asked us to move our vehicle from our designated parking space so they could move some machinery past it. I’m sure once the construction is done, it will all be fantastic.

- Fiona (8/5): - Nice view of the ocean and if you are a nature lover you appreciate this location. We booked a compact 1 bdr suite for 3 adults and a 16 year old. There is one bed and a sofa bed in the living room. If it is expected to use the sofa bed as advertised (4 people), then the living room needs a window covering so you get some privacy sleeping right by the floor to ceiling glass windows and you are not forced to wake up at 5 am in the morning because its t9 bright!

Das wir erst nach Buchung von der Unterkunft selbst eine Mitteilung über noch laufende Bauarbeiten bekommen haben, da das Resort aktuell noch im Aufbau / in der Erweiterung ist. Bei Buchung über Booking.com erhielten wir keinen Hinweis auf laufende Bauarbeiten. Zum Glück waren die Bauarbeiten zum Zeitpunkt unseres Aufenthaltes nicht sehr laut und damit nicht störend.

- Arisa (6/5): - This cottage is basically an Air B&B. They ask you to take out the garbage and run the dishwasher before check out. Here are the pros and cons. Pro: great view Cons: No house keeping No dining options AT ALL No one on site after 5pm. No one to help you after 5pm. No decent grocery stores within 30 mins of driving. (There is one super tiny one 15 mins driving with very limited choice.) No access to anything else like access to water or amenity (gym require daily fee) Construction happening that is quiet but did distracted some views. In conclusion, we won’t be coming back as it was extremely inconvenient and all it provided was great view. It may work for someone but with 2 kids and senior family members it was not great for us.

- Dale (8/5): Beautiful Place - Although it was a little far to drive from Victoria, we had a great time with our stay. It was a very nice place with a beautiful ocean view. The unit we stayed in had many amenities to include three TVs, two fireplaces, and power blinds. The kitchen was fully equipped. We had good communications and an easy check in. love it!

We had everything we needed for a great stay. visually the surrounding property is not at is best as it’s under construction which was loud when we were in the parking lot but not an issue in unit or on balcony. It was quite a hike from the city on a beautiful but windy road.

This is more of a condo type of rental, with nothing on site but a nice pub 20 mins away and a town about 30 mins away/Langford. They would need to up the game with more concierge advice and a pool or other activities.

- KB1965 (10/5): The water view! - Older couple who went right after Memorial Day. We would go back for another relaxing get away from it all vacation. My wife loved the over the water setup. Great - full front wall balcony with big glass sliding panels view which is right over the water (all cottages). Outstanding Vancouver Island coastline and Salish Sea views. I would be very happy with either of the "Pacific" (we had) or the "Sound" views. Furniture is set up for water view relaxing. Nice, mature old forest and water view trails in directly adjacent East Sooke Regional Park. Good - Nicely outfitted, clean, upscale, well designed condos and equipped kitchens. Comfortable beds. Washer/drier in unit. Good wifi and cell (verizon) but the location can easily be sold as we are remote/not contactable. Concrete construction so no thru wall noise from adjacent units. Good star views (hoped to see the aurora due to a big CME on the way in, but the associated geomag storm fizzeled out). TBC: Very nature/water away from it all. Development is still in build out, but construction was unobtrusive to our condo and did not affect us at all. The office stocks a few sundries, but for nearly all restaurants/shopping - call it 15 min to a convenience store, 30 mins to Sooke Village (on the other side of Sooke Bay), or 50 mins to Victoria. Do your shopping on the way in. The by the bed outlets are recessed in the wall so you need a strait in plug.

And notice 5c and was vacant and had no steps! I had to assist my families but we were fine!

- WCoastr (6/5): 43B - We booked a two-bedroom oceanfront unit for a family of three for seven nights. Communication with the office was prompt prior to arrival. Booking, check-in, and check-out process were easy. There was no cell phone reception. The view of the Salish Sea from our unit is breathtaking. However, the resort/ground has absolutely nothing other than construction vehicles, boulders, and containers on the main road. The communal BBQ is parked by the parking lot beside a small shed/washrooms. The fitness facility requires a separate key from the reception to access during the office hours only. And the grounds have many silverfish that make their way into the unit. It was very hot when we checked in, and our unit was sauna-in presence of the beaming sun. The unit has no AC, and unfortunately, there was no breeze that day with the deck sliding doors fully opened. For the rest of our stay, we kept the blinds closed while we’re out to prevent the unit from overheating. The sliding doors have no bug screen. Cleanliness: The main bathroom sink doesn’t drain well. Fortunately, we had the kitchen and a second bathroom sink to use. And the showers showed signs of aging with mildew/mold buildup in corners and edges for both bathrooms. The floors were relatively clean, but the carpets not too impressive. Layout of the unit was convenient. Furnitures adequate, but our unit had no patio furnishings. Appliances decent. Beds comfortable, but the master bedroom duvet had some red and pink stains. It’s at least a 20-min slow, windy drive from the resort to get out of east Sooke to visit other attractions, so I wouldn’t pick this resort as a base camp next time. Maybe the resort will be gorgeous when the construction is completed at some point, but some of the units will have aged that much more. I would recommend this resort to others only for a shorter stay. 3 out of 5 stars.
- Oleksandra (10/5): Overall, we were happy with our stay and enjoyed the experience. - We really enjoyed the view from our room — it was beautiful and made our stay special. The room was also well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. However, we were disappointed that there weren’t any nearby places suitable for spending time with a child. It would have been nice to have a playground or family-friendly attractions within walking distance.

- Ioulia (8/5): - The resort located on a beautiful shore of the bay. You will definitely enjoy the terrific ocean views and sunsets and, if you’re lucky, the wildlife. Our unit was in a great condition, equipped with a full kitchen, tub+shower bathroom, a balcony, and floor-to-ceiling triple glass sliding doors with gorgeous view. It is definitely an ideal place to relax and enjoy the nature. The stuff was very polite and really helpful with all our questions. The check in and check out were quick and simple. The only downside we found during our stay was a total absence of any eatery on the site. So, when you go, don’t forget to grab groceries or be prepared to drive to the closest town to get yourself some food :).

Didn't realize that beaches were limited in area (asked below if we went to Ella Beach, but that was never identifed to us as an option?)

- Gagan (2/5): - Our stay was very disappointing. Check-in was at 4 PM, but our room wasn’t ready until 9 PM—five hours later—affecting several other guests too. The hotel has about a dozen rooms and was fully booked before a busy long weekend, but this delay was unacceptable. When we checked in at 7:06 PM, Trixie was rude and unhelpful, responding to questions with “I don’t know” and shoulder shrugs. She even said she couldn’t contact housekeeping because “they will get mad at me.” There was no place for guests to wait inside, and many waited in cars or other rooms. We were among the first to arrive but the last to get a room. Our room had multiple small issues, and when we sought help, we got an automated message saying no one was available. Our stovetop stopped working, forcing us to cook in another room since there were no nearby food options. After all this, the hotel refused even a one-hour late checkout after the long weekend. To add insult to injury, after checkout we were charged an unexplained extra cleaning fee. Trixie just gave us the general manager’s email with no explanation. We had cleaned the room, loaded the dishwasher (except a few dishes), and left garbage bagged. The only thing left out were cans beside the sink due to no recycling bin. Overall, poor service, rude staff, and lack of communication made this stay very frustrating. I cannot recommend this tell.

- Global677588 (2/5): Shop around for real luxury. - They advertise as luxury but the only thing luxury is the view. I've been going here for 3 or 4 times a year since 2020. I thought I wouldn't return after my last visit but gave it one more try. It needs serious upgrades. It's looking dated. They charge more for "Pacific" view suites than "Coastline" suites but be careful. They put me in 15B which is neither. It sits back right and in between. I paid for a "Pacific" view. When I questioned it, I was told it was Pacific...... In all reality, they're all Pacific views. 15B has no privacy and no blinds. You require sunglasses in the suite most of the afternoon. 15B is also right in the middle of construction. Shop around. There is real luxury close by.

The unit I rented felt a bit neglected. We encountered all these things within 10 minutes of arrival and it felt weird. 1) dirt behind both bed side tables and water bottle there as well. I was plugging in phone and computer behind each when I arrived. 2) Two outlets we not Working; one was for the only table lamp in the living space. 3) stove was difficult to figure out. Cannot presume that everyone knows how to operate induction top stoves. Frustrating.

Everything was fantastic, we loved every bit of it, when your children need to burn off energy they have awesome hiking trails so close by, they provided extra things we needed which was really nice.

- ModelT7 (10/5): This is the place to be - This place is amazing!! The view will blow you away from the moment you walk in the door. The window wall and balcony's overlooking the ocean is exactly what I was looking for. We had a 2 bedroom unit. It was fully stocked, right down to the bottle opener. There were a total of 3 fireplaces, 3 full bathrooms and 2 full bedrooms. Not to mention a full kitchen, living room, dining room etc. It was perfect. The price might seem high but if you consider what you are getting, along with the savings of not having to book multiple hotel rooms, this really is a great deal. The onsite management were fantastic to speak with and gave us lot of great recommendations for sites to see in the area. Yes it is out of town, but this is what I wanted. Yes bring groceries and yes there is an amazing fully stocked grocery store about 15 mins away from this resort. That grocery store also has 2 food trucks on site. East Sooke Road is an adventure in itself. It has no lights and is extremely curvy with little to no shoulders. This is great for those that live in the country and love scenic drives. Something to consider for anybody that is not used to night driving or uncomfortable with back roads. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! I can't wait to book this for our next stay.
