- Q2695NWdianab (4/5): Nice property, poor service - The property is beautiful, but I was disappointed in so many aspects of the resort. I was put in the tower. It was noisy from the road. One of elevators was frequently out of service. One of the days they closed the family pool for a wedding with very little notice and the hotel was at full capacity! It was very challenging to find chairs and get pool service as the beach was also closed due to safety and too late to make alternative plans - excursion etc. Service in general was slow all around and not very attentive. Have had better service at the Hilton and Westin. Not what I expected at a resort of this level. The highlight of my trip was dinner at Al Pairo. The staff and service were amazing. Thank you Al Pairo for being welcoming.
- FiFred1 (10/5): Great Resort - Beautiful resort, amazing staff and atmosphere. The beach front pools accommodate families with children as well as the adult pool for couples. We traveled with family and kids and had the opportunity to use both. As club members, we always choose to visit Solaz because of its excellent service and accommodations. Also like the location which is between Cabo and San Jose which provides easy commute if you are driving. Resort staff from the front desk to the Ambassadors and bell/valet desk are amazing. I have never experienced a more caring and attentive team of people all around. The resort is pricy but you get the level of service to match it.

- davidmA8537BO (2/5): Poor treatment - We are very disappointed with the treatment. We bought in to Solaz during construction, we were called "Founders". There are several sections to Club Solaz: the towers, the terrace and the Gallery. The Gallery is an area of varying size "bungalows". It was implied that we were buying into the Gallery and not into the Towers or the Terrace. Well ever since our initial visit we would have to argue with the front desk to get assigned to the Gallery. Usually that would work, not this time. We were assigned to room 3107 - right off the lobby, no view, and anyone walking down the stairs had a clear view into the room. When asking the staff about this all we got was "we are very busy right now". Well, if we couldn't get a Gallery room at least put us in a room with a view of the ocean. We talked to several representatives of Solaz but nobody would help. We were told there were limited number of one bedrooms in the Gallery and they were all taken. But one couple had a problem with their Gallery room and they were moved to another room in the Gallery, so there were rooms available. While we were at Solaz I wrote a letter management about our situation but have yet to hear back. So, I guess being an owner and "Founder" really doesn't mean anything. It is a beautiful property, the pool staff, the bellmen are all very friendly and work very hard.

Staff is very attentive and hard working, ensuring our stays are memorable; the grounds are impeccable and always carefully maintained. The adult pool is a new addition to the setup and, with the right amount of vibe/music, cab produce a difference experience. Families can enjoy the safety of the resort and the many options available.

- helenchuh (2/5): Not really Luxury! - I am an imperial 3 bedroom club member, value is $2800 per night. I invited my family to enjoy two weeks of luxury living in Cabo in March. Unfortunately, we were put in a broken unit. The faucet, the fridge, the TV, the toilet, the sliding doors, the icemaker, the oven, were not working... I requested service for days and days, but one by one the repair would come and take hours to finish. I wasted two days of my vacation but the only thing the manager would give me was a late check out and $200 for my unhappy experience. The club membership marketing was very smooth with a lot of good promises, but my club experience was 1 out of 5 this week! Beware!!

- robinas766 (10/5): A piece of Cabo paradise! - Club at Solaz is literally our place of solace, a little piece of paradise that we now look forward to every year. The spacious luxurious villas and its amenities are unmatched from other properties we’ve stayed at. The breathtaking panoramic view of the Sea of Cortez, the awesome February sunrises, and multiple whale sightings from our balcony from the tower building is the cherry on top of our vacation. The friendly staff (Andrea) at the pool who routinely come by to make sure you’re ok and that you have everything you need is well-appreciated. You also have a very helpful personal go-to staff (for us was Rocio) who can assist on making reservations and other arrangements for you. The resort is kid-friendly so bring your children, they add to the life of the resort. Couple of suggestions though. One, is to add more choices of desserts to the pool menu. And second, maybe add 1 or 2 evening fun activities that anyone can participate in.

The staff is world-class in being helpful, reachable, and attentive to all your needs. Carla, one of the club ambassadors was the best person we could have hoped to work for getting us set up on excursions and activities. And the bellman, Angel and Raul were wonderful, very attentive. We recommend Club Solaz 10/10 to anyone who is considering staying there.

- maribethl2013 (10/5): Beautiful grounds and ocean views. - This is a beautiful resort. The rooms are well maintained and the kitchen has what you need to prepare your own food. Resort food is also very good but can be pricey, cocktails are affordable but wine is way overpriced. I don’t mind paying fair prices but don’t want to be ripped off . One chocolate croissant was almost $10 US, the Pools are beautiful and the beach is lovely. The atmosphere is quiet. If you are looking for a rowdy party place this is not your resort, The resort needs to do a better job of communicating you can rent kayaks etc from the beach but you wouldn’t know it unless you went to the beach. There was an event about whales but no communication about it. We were told several times about an event around the Christmas tree with appetizers and mocktails. We were reminded to attend and showed but for an event that was canceled with no communication about the cancellation.

It is not an All-Inclusive location. Rather, it is one where you choose how active or quiet you want to be while ordering speciality food and drink as you want it.
- carlyr501 (10/5): Blown away by the experience at Solaz - We were absolutely blown away by the customer service throughout the entire stay. We felt like royalty. The dining was top notch, as well. The room and grounds wow'ed us and we said multiple times "pinch me. Is this real life?!" We felt totally safe. As we expected, you can hear the cars on the main road, but that did not deter from anything ... at all! It is a pricey place, but it is worth every peso! Try the French toast at the buffet and the sushi at the Japanese spot. There are rooms down below and ones in the short towers. We prefer the towers because you have a better view of the ocean.

Our two favorite staff were Angel the Bell Boy and Carlos in Concierge!! Communication is poor. We were invited to a tree lighting event w music and funfare. But we along with the other guests were very disappointed to know that it was canceled without proper notice to anyone of us. Maintenance is poor. For a luxury resort, this was unexpected. We stayed on the 6th floor to avoid noise only to find out that our deck door and bedroom doors do not securely lock. Full replacement of parts was requested and promptly completed but while we were in the unit for 2 hours. Lovely vacation in Cabo except for the constant rain during the last two days there...

Greeted by Angel, our bell man, with his infectious smile for those arriving, was the start to our productive business trip to Cabo. The entire staff from Hector at the pool, to Christian our concierge, made our trip extraordinarily easy and delightful. Even the young lady that checked us out whose name unfortunately slipped my mind, was extremely helpful and efficient. Can’t wait to see the staff in the future.

Same excuses by management - Beautiful resort, but the pool is too cold and the hot tub was below body temperature so not hot enough and subsequently overrun with toddlers and used as a kiddie pool our whole stay. This has been an issue since the opened and we have all complained to the resort every stay, every year, yet get the same poor excuses that they are "working on it". I know it is possible to heat it to the correct temperature because one year it was perfect. The management needs to get this under control as the pool and hot tub are beautiful and the main attraction of the resort. Also, the "teen club" closed at 5pm our whole stay which served zero purpose and the teens had nothing to do all evening.

I called “O” front room phone to ask if Dana’s was open. I was told YES. Went down from 6th floor and it was closed! Went back to elevator and the bottom floor was not working. Another time we came to elevator on 6th floor to go down. It was turned off!!! Went back to our room and called “O”. Asked why elevator was off. He told me he did not know but would call me back. Waited 20 minutes, no call. Our house keeping came by and she should us the service elevator which was on. We were told elevator was turned off due to rain. That may be OK but a note on the face of the elevator showing how to use functioning service elevator SHOULD have been provided. DON’T LEAVE YOUR GUESTS WAITING FOR AN CALL BACK AND THEN STRANDED ON THE 6TH FLOOR. I AM 79 YEARS OLD AND IF THERE HAD BEEN A MEDICAL EMERGENCY I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN A LOT OF TROUBLE FOR NO GOOD REASON. Management needs to train staff and confirm communication paths. Very frustrating.

Not worth the experience. - Our actual stay at this resort was nice and pleasant — unfortunately, the experience since we left has completely ruined our opinion. A few days after checkout, our credit card was suddenly charged over $1,100 for a so-called “scratched stovetop,” which we absolutely did not cause. We live a fairly clean lifestyle, so we did zero deep cleaning during our stay due to the housekeeping service that came to our room to do it for us 2 to 3 times a day, as is expected with such a high value property. We are currently disputing this charge with our credit card company, but the only response we’ve received from hotel management so far has essentially been, “too bad.” What could have been a great memory has turned into an expensive nightmare. BEWARE when staying at this property — take photos of every single thing when you check in and when you check out, and watch your credit card statements closely. No guest should have to deal with this kind of treatment.

I've been traveling to Cabo twice a year for almost my entire life and this is one of my favorite hotels I've stayed at. The rooms are lovely, the food and drinks, and service are amazing. Veronica was especially wonderful and helped us book dinners/airport transfers and anything we needed. We LOVED Cesar and Pedro at the adults pool - 10/10 friendliness and service. I will 100% be staying here again!

I have used Expedia for countless trips, this is the first VIP Acess resort that actually provided me with a room upgrade, and for that reason, I am grateful and they have my family’s loyalty! Family trip at the Club at Solaz did not disappoint, we reserved a 2Bedroom room/villa and we received a 3bedroom 4 full baths room/villa! I cannot rave about it enough, the “kids” did not want to leave and neither did the parents. Our boys are 18/18/ and 21 years old and they loved the property as well. Lots of delicious restaurants and bars. We frequented the Mako restaurant because the aqua chile was phenomenal, along with their spicy shrimp tacos and the el Crunchy tacos. Our other notable meal was at Al Pairo where the food was delicious. The grounds for the hotel and stunning and the staff provided excellent service. Truly a wonderful vacation spot. Thank you Solaz for the wonderful stay.

- Quest04968718429 (10/5): Family trip to Cabo - If you’re traveling to Cabo and looking for a relaxing trip, I would definitely recommend Club at Solaz as a fantastic destination. Suites were great, lots of room, amenities, etc. Staff were also great, very attentive, friendly, came across as genuinely caring about you enjoying your stay. Good for families or adulting, caters for both and pool areas dedicated to both. I wouldn’t plan on beach activities or night time partying. It’s relatively pricey but worth it if you’re looking for a high end and relaxing stay.

- Coastal18334046924 (10/5): A Slice of Paradise – Even Better the Second Time! - This was our second stay at The Club at Solaz, and it just keeps getting better! The photos don’t do it justice—the property is absolutely stunning. It’s the perfect size: large enough to have amazing amenities, but intimate enough that you feel like you have the place to yourself. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like family. Angel (bell hop) gave us the warmest welcome, and the amazing service continued with the ambassador team—Christian and Rocio. Karla and Andrea made sure we were completely relaxed poolside, Saul kept the drinks flowing with his incredible cocktails, and Marcos at Mako made dinner feel extra special. Everyone treats you like you truly matter. The infinity pools are breathtaking, the food is high quality, and the vibe is so serene—it’s hard to find a reason to leave the resort! A huge bonus for families: the Kids Club is fantastic! Our little ones had a blast with the fun activities and safe, creative play spaces. There are also shallow splash areas and kid-friendly spots throughout the resort, which made traveling with children easy and enjoyable. After a day in the sun, the rooms are a welcoming retreat — modern, luxurious, and designed for total relaxation. Every detail is thoughtful and high-end. We’re already planning our next trip and starting a family tradition.
- HECTOR (10/5): - The property is very nice and well-located, with all the amenities. The only drawback we encountered was that there was some noise in the rooms, which are very close to the street. During the night, it's difficult to sleep due to the noise of nearby vehicles.
- Kristi (10/5): - Everyone was friendly and I felt safe. The property had a team of ambassadors who was great and hospitable. The spa was amazing and everything was clean. The staff was consistently friendly and professional. My housekeeper was Jacqueline and she was very friendly and conversed with me. One day I came to find my room decorated in recognition for my birthday which was a delightful surprise. Andrea at the pool was wonderful, as well, and the staff at Mako were particularly exceptional, with many of them taking care to remember your name and what you order if you had been there before. One of the things to note is they require reservations for dinner at the restaurants. If they aren’t busy, this might not be a big deal except for the sushi restaurant, which seems to be excluded from everything. It would be nice if one of the pools might be adults only but can see why that might be a challenge to enforce. The only other thing I was not prepared for is this place sells vacations or timeshare-like packages and I was not advised of this beforehand, so I was disappointed to be caught off guard about the “invitation” that also turned into what I was told would be a 75-minute no obligation tour to a nearly daylong aggressive sales strategy. The property has a lot of indulgences that undoubtedly will sell itself and I do plan to return. For guests who stay on the residences side instead of the hotel, it would be nice to know (1) there is a distinction and (2) that there will be a pitch.

When we checked in, the conceirge that we met with offered to set up a pro etc. We stated we only needed a court. Unfortunately the people workign there as well as the websites both hotel.com and Solaz did not let us know or post that tennis was unavailable. I was particularly annoyed as they did nothing other than say "sorry".

- Jazzylivin (8/5): Let's Go Solaz - This is a beautiful property with amazing views. It's ideally located between San Jose del Cabos and Cabo San Lucas. The beach is not accessible most times, depending on condition of the water, but there are water activities and accessible at other close by properties. The property villa spaces are well maintained with good quality accessories and environment. Things are clean and there's not much that's missing for a fantastic experience. The staff and service around the property are excellent with definite focus on ensuring you have all you need for to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

The landscaping is beautiful and they work very hand to keep it meticulous. The room was clean and comfortable with a great kitchen. The bed and sheets were perfect. Several staff members were excellent and helped make our week so delightful. First, our housekeeping staff made our room good as new every day. Angel at the front helped us with our car, luggage, and recommendations multiple times during our stay. Gorge, Hector, & Saul were attentive and took care of us at the pool.
