It's like something from the 80's, except you can see that they have taken something from the 80s and cut it in half, you can't walk past the bottom of the uncomfortable bed without walking into the smallest tv I've seen in a hotel for 30 years

- Julia (10/5): Andalucian hospitality at its finest - The building, the decor, the location, the comfortable and spacious rooms, the roof terrace, the people, the value for money. We asked in advance if there would be a kettle in the room and they provided one. Cooked breakfasts available at the associated café next door. Nothing, we loved it all.
- Arthur (9/5): Superb - I explained to the manager that I had been kept awake during the night by a guest in the room next to mine talking loudly for hours on end. I also explained that I would like to stay a second night, but only if the noisy neighbour would not be around. The manager showed genuine concern that I had had a bad night and gave me the second night for half price. I slept well in what is a pleasant hotel well situated in Chipiona.

- Jones (9/5): My favorite Spanish town - The staff were good. The man ushered me thru side door so I didn't have to get wet in the rain going for breakfast. Maria is a sweetheart My new sister. The only thing that could have been better was no ocean view only into courtyard but I guess I could have paid more for the upgrade. Love Chipiona and it's people Oh .... I cannot sleep well with the ambient light so I took my yoga mat and rigged it up over the nightlight over the door.

- Cristina (6/5): A one time stay was enough - Very good location, close to the beach in a nice part of town. Extremely noisy hotel. All the conversations at the reception desk and in the lobby were conducted very loud and I could hear everything from my room, even though the room was on the last floor. The cleaning staff also very loud starting early in the morning. Although staff was very nice during my stay, communication prior to my arrival, when making the reservation was very frustrating. They claimed not to have any rooms available when I could clearly see online that that was not true.

The staff were friendly and helpful and I shall make a point of going back. The traditional Andalucian building was finished to a very high standard both inside and out. I liked everything about this hotel. It exceeded my expectations on nearly every count. Even the price was reasonable.

- michaelbB7130UW (10/5): Perfect location with a touch of class - We chose the Espaniola for it’s beachfront location, and it delivered in spades. It was low season so we were offered an upgraded room with balcony at no extra charge, and the view from our room was nothing short of idyllic, across the beach complemented by an azure sea. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a traditional style, contemporarily furnished, and the whole building exudes class, the tiling putting one in mind of the Moorish tessellations encountered at the Alhambra Palace in Granada. Rafael at reception was indefatigable in his efforts to make our stay a good one, and he excelled in every way. We enjoyed bathing on the beach in front of the hotel, and there is a splendid variety of bars and restaurants in the immediate vacinity. Our only reservation is over parking; the hotel offers an underground facility but it is extremely tight and positively scary for all but the most experienced motorist. Have Rafael park your car for you is my sincere advice! Altogether this hotel provided an outstanding experience, and we endorse it without reservation.

- MadameLS (8/5): Happy Hotel La Espanola - This is a lovely, clean hotel right next to the sea front. It's reasonably priced. The staff are very polite in hotel and adjoining bar. Rafael speaks pretty good English. The only bad thing about this place is the noise, if you're looking for a quiet getaway this is not the place. 😀
- ivy567 (10/5): Beautiful Hotel - We stumbled across this hotel and what a great find it is. It is family run and all the staff are very helpful and pleasant. All rooms are clean and well furnished and the bathroom is particularly good . The wifi is very good too unlike many hotels. Step outside onto Calle Isaac Peral and it 20 metres to the sea and left to dozens of great Tapas Bars. We will definitely be back.
