The modern Japanese decoration is interesting. -The staff is friendly and good at communicating in English. -As it’s located in a very lively neighborhood, it gets noisy at night. -There is no elevator to the third floor.

• Chi Kwan (7/5): - Clean, tidy, good facilities, convenient location. We stayed in the hotel on a Friday night. Street noise was quite unbearable. Drunk Japanese yelled till 2am in the morning. There was a scary painting right outside of our room. Made me a little uncomfortable.

• Nicholas (9/5): Lovely small stay for a good price. Definitely recommend! - The staff were so kind and everything was very clean. Slightly smaller space but for the price fit 2 people very comfortably. Very nice bathroom, and the tv allowed streaming from your device. I would definitely go again It was a bit further from some things but the busses were consistent and walking a bit further was no trouble.

• Lio P (9/5): Great Stay in the Center of Nakameguro - Directly next to Nakameguro station, one of the cooles, liveliest and best-connected neighborhoods in Tokyo. The place is really nicely furnished and really clean. Also the rooms are relatively spacious (for Tokyo terms; but ofc no bathroom). We were on the side facing the train tracks and the sound insulation was really bad. Gladly we were always super tired in the evening anyway, but the trains etc. were definitely very audible.
• christina (10/5): Peaceful heaven in the meguro city - Quiet heaven in the meguro city ( beautiful vibrant area). Perfect for a solo traveller or young people that appreciate peace. I loved coming home to rest. The working was very helpful. The room very comfortable and clean. Felt very taken care of.

• Anam18 (9/5): - Hostel moderno no coração de Nakameguro, um bairro muito agradável e alternativo para se hospedar em Tokyo. A acomodação era moderna, bonita e bastante confortável. O quarto contava com cama de casal, mesa/cadeira, banco para mala, cabide, tv e frigobar. A parte dos banheiros ficava separado do quarto, mas em nenhum momento tivemos problemas em dividir com os outros 6 ou 7 quartos. A cozinha era bem equipada e fizemos algumas refeições leves por lá. Um dia nosso ar condicionado parou de funcionar, e os funcionários foram extremamente solícitos em resolver o problema dentro do que era possível pelo horário noturno. É fato que a acomodação deixa muito claro que é necessário subir 3 lances de escada, o que pode ser um pouco chato com malas grandes. Mas nada que seja um problema.

• Lauren (9/5): This was easily my favorite of my 3 hotels on the trip, and I'll stay here during future Tokyo trips - Great location: close proximity to station with frequent and easy routes to Shibuya, Harajuku, etc. Lots of food, bars, and little shops nearby. Close to river for very pretty walks even outside of sakura season. Walking distance to the only sane/organized Donki branch I visited. Great room & amenities: stayed in room #4, bigger room than any other hotels I stayed in during my Tokyo trip (including more floor space, couch, desk area, medium-sized mini fridge). Easy to connect my own YouTube account to the in-room TV. Shared bathroom/shower was very clean and I never had to wait. Bath products smelled incredible and I wish I could have purchased whatever shampoo they use. Shared kitchen was always very clean and easy to use. Slippers provided were SO comfy and not small like my other hotels. Paid wash/fold laundry service was very convenient, efficient, and returned folded up more perfectly than I had ever seen (seemed almost like Marie Kondo - level of artistry). Staff: spoke English so well that I ditched my attempts to use whatever little Japanese I was practicing. Very helpful anytime I had a question or needed help. Friendly overall. Staff at parking lot across the street was loudly directing traffic at times, but in entertaining way (imagine the equivalent of someone loudly shouting someone back up, parallel park, etc. in Japanese). Would be easy to avoid hearing this by using provided earplugs if I wanted to. Hot water in the shower took longer than expected to heat up, wasn't sure if it was because it was the evening, or a fluke, etc. Sadly no elevator to their 3rd floor location, which was mainly only cumbersome when carrying your own luggage (vs. using luggage transport service).

• Marina (9/5): Stylish, Spacious Stay Steps from Nakameguro Station - Waves Nakameguro was a great surprise. It’s a hostel with private rooms and shared bathrooms, and the location is super convenient — just steps from the station. The room was extremely comfortable and impressively spacious for Tokyo standards. The common areas are beautifully designed, full of style and art, creating a really welcoming atmosphere. The girl at the front desk was very kind and attentive. There were complimentary snacks and water available in the room, which was a nice touch. The shared bathrooms were clean as well. The only downsides were that the individual toilet stalls didn’t have hand soap, and the property has three floors accessible only by stairs, which can be a bit challenging if you’re carrying heavy luggage.

• Madeline (10/5): Always my favourite stay in Tokyo. - Super quiet, comfortable, best location. I’ve stayed here many times over years. It’s also been recently renovated and feels very fresh! Will be back again next time.
• Ting Yu (8/5): - The location is really near the subway and 711 is just nearby Also, have a lot of restaurants nearby. The room size is also big, I can open the suitcase on the ground. One time I told the staff to supply the tissue but when I went back to the room, they didn't give me tissue, and it was already nighttime time so I couldn't find anyone to get the tissue. Also, the staff didn't notice the public shower room ran out of body wash, I need to tell the staff there was no more body wash in the next morning.

• Nadine (10/5): Beautiful relaxing stay. - One of the best hostels we have stayed in. Create a real sense of home and calm to come to. Not too big and very lovely staff. Super comfortable. Great kitchen / lounge set up. Very comfortable for three people.
• Michelle (8/5): - Unkompliziert, gute Ausstattung und sehr gemütlicher Aufenthaltsraum. Wegen der Nähe zum Bahnhof und den Geleisen war es im Zimmer sehr laut. Schlafen ohne Ohrenstöpsel ist nicht möglich.
• Paul (10/5): - I stupidly thought l had booked 3 nights but l had booked 2. The last night, was a room hold for a late flight. Thinking l could come back, pack and shower then leave. So my room was a bit of a mess. The staff were brilliant and understanding of my mistake. I offered compensation for a late check-out. They wouldn't take my money and they let me shower and freshen up. Complete stars. So thanks Waves. If you're looking to meet lots of people (as a solo traveller) this place might not be for you.

• JAMIE (9/5): Nice place with chilled vibe - Loved this place. We had two rooms across from each other and they weren't huge but big enough (and decent for Tokyo I think). The central area was nice to chill in, and there was a great bakery (City Bakery) round the corner which we used for breakfast. No problem using shared bathrooms - there are only a few rooms here so we didn't see much of the other guests but everyone we did see was polite and friendly. Staff also very friendly and helpful. Also the location - Meguro is quite chilled and a cool place, but close to Shibuya, Ebisu etc. Recommended!

• YOU-CHEN (9/5): 非常舒服乾淨的旅館，雖是共用浴室的旅館，但非常整潔，交通方便的旅館、服務親切的工作人員。 - 住宿體驗非常好，離車站2分鐘的距離就到了，雖然說處於熱鬧的小巷當中，但晚上幾乎沒什麼奇怪的噪音。如果有攜帶大型的行李，一樓進去可以按鈕，請工作人員幫忙搬上去。房間非常乾淨還香香的，非常舒服，然後一定要稱讚兩位金髮的女性服務人員，真的是太親切、太有禮貌了！有什麼問題也很快幫忙解決，讓人感覺非常愉快！中間的公共區域有杯子、小點心可以做使用，旅館內的氛圍感也很好，未來如果要去玩還是會想選擇住這邊！ 有幾個小缺點是，吹風機真的好熱，風也不太大，有點難吹乾頭髮。 隔音比較差，公共區域又在房間的中間，如果深夜有人在公共區域大聲聊天，會蠻清楚的聽到有聲音，會有點被影響睡眠，不知是否可以貼個公告之類的，超過一個時間，要在公共區域的話，請輕聲細語、放慢腳步，或是當初Check-in的時候要跟客人宣導一下~
