Arie (8/5): Heerlijk! - We hebben genoten van de prachtige omgeving en het mooie uitzicht vanuit het appartement. Het weer was wat minder maar daar kan niemand wat aan doen, dat kun je in de herfst verwachten.

Alexander (10/5): - Super malerische Lage. Geschäfte schnell per Auto zu erreichen, Restaurants und Brötchenbäcker fußläufig. Sehr guter Startpunkt in die Vulkaneifel. Gemütlich ausgestattete, bunt beleuchtete Unterkunft. Mit tollem Blick auf das Schalkenmehrener Maar. Alleine das ist schon erholsam. Für die Dusche bringt man am besten ein Diplom oder Erfindergeist mit.
Marvin (8/5): Prettig verblijf in ruim appartement met uitzicht op het dorp en Maar. - Ruim appartement, voorzien van alle gemakken. Vriendelijke host met veel kennis van de omgeving. Attent om alle folders in het Nederlands voor ons klaar te leggen. Overal zijn led lampjes in verwerkt, geen last van maar je moet ervan houden.

Manfred (9/5): Kann klar empfohlen werden - Sehr schön gelegen oberhalb des Schalkenmehrer Maars mit Maar-Blick (1. oder 2. Etage buchen). Einrichtung etwas im den 90er Jahre-Stil, tut dem guten Eindruck aber keinen Abbruch. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ideal zum Wandern und Schwimmen.
Farzaneh (9/5): De meest geschikte plek om tot rust te komen en te ontspannen, met een prachtig uitzicht op het meer - De huisbaas was vriendelijk, prettig en makkelijk. De studio was heel rustig en had een mooi uitzicht.

In the apartment you will find everything. We had a really nice stay with the kids. Beds were a bit too soft to our liking. Apart from that everything was perfect.

Apostolos (8/5): Great Place. - If you're searching for the perfect spot to unwind after a day of long-distance hiking and exploring the surrounding area, this is the ideal place for you. Start your adventure by preparing a to-go lunch in the kitchen before setting out. After your hike, return to relax in your private bathtub with soothing water jets. Enjoy the serene view from the balcony overlooking a peaceful fish pond, and end your day with a restful night’s sleep on the large, soft bed designed for your comfort. The host was really friendly and explained everything, willing to help with our requests. If you're someone who gets easily bothered by small details—like a hand soap dispenser not working, poor bathroom ventilation that leaves the space feeling like a rainforest with damp toilet paper after a steam bath, or heating that still feels insufficient at night even with the electric fireplace and radiators on—or if you prefer not to cook your own meals, then this destination may not be the right fit for you. Instead, it might be better to choose a different type of location rather than an UNESCO heritage volcanic forest area. That said, while I haven't explored other resorts nearby, I truly believe this is the best option available in the region.

Michael Z. (10/5): Entspannung pur - Wir haten Studio "Vulkanhöhe", welches für 2 Personen ausreichend ist. Ausstattung kann nur als Top bezeichnet werden. u.a. Box Spring Bett, Dampfdusche, Küche ausreichend Geschirr und Besteck. Küche mit zwei Kaffeemaschinen (normal und Tassimo). Auch Spülmittel. Toilettenpaper wird dort gestellt!!! Wunderschöne Teichanlage und Schalkenmehren ist ein Ort in der Vulkaneifel, in dem Testaurants und Bäcker zu finden sind. Absolut empfehlenswert.
Verified traveler (8/5): - Die Ferienwohnung ist super, die Lage ist einmalig, mit einem tollen Ausblick auf die Maar. Um das Haus sind zwei große Fischteiche angelegt, mit sehr schönen und großen Kois, Schildkröten und sogar Stören drin, absolut super zum entspannen und beobachten. Auch für Wanderfreunde ist die Lage perfekt, man kann von dort aus super wandern, es gibt viele Wege und sehr schöne Ecken zum entdecken. Absolut empfehlenswert.
