• Tobias (8/5): Wunderschöner Herbst-Urlaub in Sizilien - Die Anlage liegt nur 500 Meter entfernt von der Altstadt von Taormina und unser Zimmer hatte eine wunderschöne Terrasse mit traumhaften Blick über die Straße von Messina. Kostenpflichtige Parkplätze sind in der Anlage vorhanden und wesentlich günstiger als die öffentlichen Parkmöglichkeiten. Wir sind Ende Oktober verreist und das Wetter war angenehm. Das Highlight der Anlage ist ein beheizter Pool in einen Zitrus-Garten, den wir ausgiebig genutzt haben. Leider gab es in der Woche nur eine Zwischen-Reinigung

Pool water was like a jacuzzi super hot. Weird. The most uncomfortable pool loungers ever no surprise they were empty even in August.

• Tracy (2/5): We rented this entire property ( 9 out of the 10 units ) for my daughter’s pre wedding festivities. The check in process - The Location. However, you still had to walk up a hill , 52 stairs , and then another hill to reach the town center of Taoromina. The management. They never cleaned our rooms , had to beg for clean towels, and at check out made us separate and throw out all of our trash in dumpsters at the road.

• Ilse (9/5): Tolle Adresse für einen Aufenthalt in Taormina - Die Residence liegt nicht weit vom Zentrum von Taormina, man kann das Auto somit abends (auf dem privaten Parkplatz) stehen lassen. Die Seilbahn zum Strand ist auch gleich in der Nähe. Die Wohnung, die Lage, der Pool, alles bestens. Sehr freundliche Dame am Empfang.
• GigiDemps (8/5): Loved my little eat pray love journey (or eat, sleep, read!) - loved my little place - it was very spacious and comfortable! I even had a little cat who I fed every day! It is a short walk to the main town. The pool is fabulous! Loved all the fruit trees. The staff were lovely and accomodating. It's great to go to Taormina and not spend a bomb! It was all fine! the kitchen sink was probably the only interesting thing!

All staff were extremely pleasant and Esther was a great help with any questions we had. A very quiet and small complex. Cats, there were at least 4 cats that roamed around so had to keep doors closed over.

• Nicole (10/5): Great spot to visit Taormina - Room was clean and perfectly as described. Pool was also a great feature. Good location, bit of a climb into town but not too bad once you know what to expect. Communication from the property was clear and prompt. We were delayed and had to check in after hours, and were given very clear instructions to assist. Can't fault the service at all.

• Paul (10/5): Incredible first visit to Taormina and Medea Residences - The apartment was amazing and in a brilliant location. It is only 10 minutes walk from the town and 5 minutes to cable car. The beaches are about 25 minutes walk. We mainly walked to the beach as the views on route are beautiful. Ester the host is incredibly nice and very helpful. She helped us book trips to Etna, Lejovanni and the Godfather tour. The pool is lovely and we had the studio apartment with a lovely terrace and hot tub. The views overlooking the sea and mountains are amazing. The studio was well equipped and spotlessly clean. It had a washing machine which was really useful. The outside space was really lovely with sunbeds and a table with chairs. We would highly recommend booking these apartments as it is much better being close to the town rather than on the beach. There was nothing not to like.
• Diana (9/5): Insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt, den wir gerne weiterempfehlen. - Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt im Apartment. Es war schön eingerichtet, bequem und die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet. Besonders gefallen hat uns der Balkon, auf dem man entspannt sitzen konnte. Auch der Swimmingpool war eine tolle Ergänzung und hat für Erholung gesorgt und der Wäscheständer war auch sehr praktisch. Ein paar kleine Punkte zur Verbesserung: Der Pool öffnet erst ab 10 Uhr, was für Frühschwimmer etwas schade ist. Da es noch sehr heiß war, fühlte es sich bereits wie Mittagshitze an, wenn wir mit unserer täglichen Stadtrunde beginnen konnten. Während unserer vier Übernachtungen gab es keine Zimmerreinigung, daher wären ein Kehrblech und ein kleiner Besen im Apartment sehr hilfreich. Außerdem sollte man wissen, dass die Lage eher etwas für fitte Gäste ist, da man die Straßen, die über keinen Gehweg verfügen, sehr schnell überqueren muss ;)

Iso piha puutarhoineen ja uima-allas olivat ihana lisä ja näkymä alas merelle oli uskomattoman kaunis. Persoonallinen ja kotoisa kokonaisuus ja kotoisa tarkoittaa siis kaunista ja viihtyisää. Huone oli hauskasti sisustettu. Kiva pieni lisä oli jääkaappiin jätetty kahvi, josta valmistimme mutteripannulla maailman parhaat espressot. Se, että hotellilta pääsi kuljetuksella Lettojannin rannalle todella kohtuullisen hintaan (siihen kuului myös aurinkotuoli ja varjo) oli bonusta. Sijainti vaati kiipeämistä molempiin suuntiin, myös funikulaarille. Keittiö oli hieman epäkäytännöllinen ja jääkaapin ovi ei pysynyt kiinni, joka aiheutti hieman päänvaivaa. Vastaanoton palvelu oli ystävällistä, ajoittain aika hätäistä ja auki todella rajoitetuin tunnein.

A soli 10 minuti a piedi dal centro di Taormina e dalla funivia. 10+ a tutto lo staff della struttura molto gentili. Direi nulla. Solo perché mi piacerebbe, avrei aggiunto un mobiletto svuota tasche e porta scarpe vicino alla porta d’ingresso. X il resto direi tutto ottimo

Nära till linbanan för att lätt ta sig ner till stranden och Isola Bella. Nära till huvudgatan och torget Piazza IX Aprile.
• Andrew (10/5): Highly recommend resort - This resort has everything you’d want for a relaxing, welcoming, clean apartment stay in Taormina. Only 10 minutes walk to the town center and with stunning panoramic views and the the pool area set within lime trees providing relief from the sun I highly recommend. Special mention for Ester the manager who is an asset to the property with tips information and always available to assist with any needs and advice.

• Daisy (8/5): Lovely time - Fantastic location, lovely pool area (but needs a few more sunloungers). Staff were friendly & helpful. Rooms were nice but slightly outdated, and our room was quite dark with a small window for natural light. I’d say it’s quite expensive as breakfast isn’t included but for Taormina is probably quite good value. The views from the property are nice, but slightly ruined by the bus depot directly below which blocks some of the view.
• Áine (8/5): Nice, clean stay close to Taormina centre - Great location, 10 minutes from the town centre and a few minute walk to the cable car. The beds were comfortable and the space clean. It felt secure as was behind gates and our room was spacious. The pool area and grounds needs some TLC. There are only a handful of sun loungers which isn’t enough for the amount of people staying there, so people have to end up lying on the floor. They are also very old, and whilst they did replace some when we were there, they are extremely uncomfortable. They are just wooden hard beds. There are lovely views but they are obstructed by random bits of old tat dotted around the residence. It has potential, but needs some major TLC. We got a good deal as it was pre-summer holidays, however if we’d gone a week later and paid the extra, I wouldn’t have said it was value for money.
• Narelle (10/5): Italian oasis in beautiful Toarmina - This property is like an Italian oasis in city of Taormina. Great location you walk up a gradual hill to town.. 5-10 min which I think is better, as then you walk downhill when returning home. Taormina is all hills!!- that’s its beauty! The grounds have olive trees, and fruit trees around the pool area and large outside area, so a lovely setting. We had the ‘Bute’ room-deluxe studio, big room with kitchenette and HUGE balcony overlooking pool and ocean. Has a washing machine which is a bonus and clothes rack with pegs. The bonus was Esta the host! She went out of her way to assist us with bus/train timetables and information. She gave us an umbrella for our time to use at beach. This property is just fantastic.. a real Italian experience. Nothing

• Bruce (6/5): - Good location. Walkable to city sites. Initial impression was awful. We arrived 4:30 pm. Gate was locked, office closed. Whatsapp had malfunctioned so we did not get instructions how to access property after hours. Grumpy old men finally came to gate, yelling at us and refused to open gate. Finally, another not-too-friendly couple yelled at us more but finally found our keys and let us in. Odd that office closes at 4 pm. Instructions finally arrived on Whatsapp the next day. Property itself was fine with nice pool and beautiful view, and office manager next day was friendly. But initial impression of screaming old man was frightening to this 68-year-old traveler

It doesn’t have high end hotel facilities but as somewhere to base yourself - Location is really good - 100 metres from the cable car top station. Nice little coffee shop just outside the property. The pool was lovely with fantastic views. Nothing.

We paid for a larger apartment which was spacious and has enough to self cater if you want to. I would not have wanted 4 people in the space though. Property grounds looking a little tired and external lighting poor. Pool was warm and view over sea better than the view of the bus garage next door!
• Tom (10/5): The best place for a relaxing, scenic, and hot holiday - Look at it this way. We visit Positano often and this beats the lot. In Positano you would pay five times more for a much smaller apartment with a scenery equal to Toarmina. Within two hours drive you can visit towns that are well preserved that were founded by Romans, Greeks and normans (Vikings). So much history in this part of Sicily. I would ask why is this not as popular as Capri, Positano, ravello etc......but then again I should not as it's so good Toarmina is not so busy with tourists because you can get off buses (so frequent) and not have to wait in line to go into restaurants. Everyone speaks perfect English too. No faults found. As a vegan a lot of the places are behind the times compared to the metropolitan north like Milano and Torino. But hey ho......

• Denise (9/5): Comfy, clean, great location, beautiful place to stay. - The apartment was lovely, well equipped and lovely and clean. The kitchenette was lovely, and had a small kettle, which was a bonus! There was a bottle of wine in the fridge for us, independent icecubes in the freezer. Lovely little touches in the bathroom. Although the parking was €10daily, it was so worth it! The centre of Taormina was literally minutes away, but the apartment and the surrounding gardens, pool etc, were so peaceful and tranquil. It was east to contact the proprietary, if needed. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom had a lovely bigvath. We had a deluxe apartment that had an amazing big balcony with a great view of the beach. There was even a washing machine! On the whole, we would definitely go back to Medea Residence....a great place to base yourself! Grazie mille!! Nothing to report!

• Cheryl (10/5): Exceptional - Medea exceeded our expectations. We were amazed at the size of the room & balcony which was an added bonus having so much room & a spa. We thought the balcony with sun lounges & spa was a shared roof top area - turns out it came with our booking which was a fantastic surprise. The pool was a great size & plenty of room to accommodate guests & sparkling clean. The location was just out of old town, we enjoyed the walk & it wasn't difficult - took us no longer than 10 minutes (if that). Staff were lovely & very helpful - nothing was a problem. We liked everything & very, very happy with out stay.
• Søren (10/5): Godt sted - Dejlig stort værelse med køkken, stor terrasse og privat parkering. Ligger meget centralt i Taormina, men kort afstand til alt. Vi kunne helt sikkert godt bo der igen.
• Steven (8/5): This complex is worth the price per suite but you get what you pay for. - Value for money. Taormina in general is an expensive area to stay. We would recommend. We went mid September. We booked a basic apartment with nice views over the mountain. Brilliant location. Just outside the town so facilities within easy reach but quiet so you can sleep. You only walk a very small stretch of rd before reaching steps so no problem. Just hold your child’s hand. Heated swimming pool a bonus. Ideal depth for children. Room was adequately furnished with modern decor & kitchenette had everything we needed for breakfast or to make pasta dish. I guess the rooms have been redecorated in recent yrs. A newly updated bathroom near pool. Ideal if you have late flight home as you can use pool all day & store luggage in reception. Some of the photo’s and description are outdated. Some facilities only apply to the superior suite. The outdoor space could do with an update before it gets out of hand. Tree’s need a major prune as example. The hardwood decking around pool is strong & bleached white giving it a relaxed feel. The basic loungers are comfortable but need replacing.( Not like photo’s. ) None of this affected our stay & we enjoyed a dip in the pool each evening. Distance to sea a little deceiving. 650m in a straight line and down steep hill via mountain track. No problem to us because we are active but not for everyone. Loads of regular buses you can use instead.

• Gillian (9/5): Well equipped studio with a lovely large terrace and amazing views. - Great location 15 mins walk from centre. Fabulous studio with large terrace & amazing views. Nice warm pool which was good to relax in after exploring Taormina. The studio had everything including water, wine and ground coffee in the fridge on arrival. Esther in reception was really helpful with local information and helped us with organising our onward travel. we would have liked bedside lamps but wouldn't put us of going again because everything else was so good.

We felt a little mislead, as the pictures of our room didn't fully match the reality, it made us believe that there is one additional room in our booked stay, while it was not.

• timothy (10/5): - Thank you for an amazing stay, we visited for our anniversary and were not disappointed! The first thing was the room was big and spacious, the terrace/ balcony was big, with a hot tub and great views of the sea, and mountains around. It was only around a 5-10 minute walk from Taormina, and 5 mins walk from the cable car which takes you down to the beach. Esther was very friendly and helpful. Thanks again!!!
• Kaarin (8/5): Super sweet staff and a lovely pool! - Staff super friendly! The place itself is a good value and has a nice pool! Great location. Uncomfy pillows and A/C was pretty loud. I think this place would be a 5/5 if it put in a few more touches like some art on the walls and small details like above. We enjoyed our stay but would have felt like it was paradise with a couple more touches!

• Chiara (7/5): A good stay! - Our apartment was very large, with a huge balcony space, which we loved. I enjoyed a spectacular sunrise! Room was clean and had a washing machine to clean towels yourself. Parking provided for 10 euros per night. Overall it was a nice stay, but we think the apartments need a bit of modernising. It felt a bit dated in areas. We would explore a different hotel in Taormina if we came back. Unfortunately the spectacular view is spoiled by a scrapyard in front of the apartments. This isn't included in the photos so it was a bit of a surprise. The hot tub on the balcony is not fully clean so we didn't use it. The walk to Taormina town would not suit people with mobility issues and be careful if you have children. There were also some inconsiderately loud guests in the pool who treated it like it was their own - this did spoil any relaxation we could get and we noticed other guests leaving the area too.

El conserje es un buen hombre, aunque muy dejado, despistado. Enseña el barrigón, fuma, tiene aspecto sucio. El apartamento está bien, había un jacuzzi afuera de la habitación que no pudimos usar.

• Melissa (9/5): Wonderful host, cute little place with wonderful views. - Ester, the host, was superb! Welcoming and really helpful. She gave us restaurant tips, directions and a tour of the facilities. Room was nice, clean and had everthing you needed. We had some Italian coffee and fizz left for us, which was a lovely touch. The balcony space was the winner for us. It offered amazing views too. Pool was lovely and clean. The area surrounding it was beautiful too. Like other reviews mention, it's about 10 mins from Corso Umberto (uphill) and easy reach to the cable car for the beaches. This is just preference but the bed was not the comfiest. The bathroom was quite dark unless you fully opened the windows and blinds. I would have liked some softer lighting in the room.

• Bernedet (8/5): Perfect place to stay in Taormina! Would recommend it! - The location was perfect! We didn’t have a car during our vacation so we were looking for a property within walking distance of the center of Taormina. It took less than 5 minutes of walking to get to the city center and about the same distance to the cable car to Mazzaro! The pool was also great as it was quite warm when we were there. The staff was also very nice and helpful. It was a bit noisy.

Spacious room with a great large outside terrace with great views, with our own sun loungers, table and chairs and a outdoor jacuzzi tub. Apartment had everything we needed , fridge freezer hob etc. Comfy bed. Gtear pool area. Esther on reception was really helpful gave us great information and really took the time to assist with everything can't thank her enough. Room on first arrival seemed very dark and drab, needs some addition of pictures, soft cushions etc to add colour. Looks like there had once been a floating bed so left an area in the ceiling that looked strange.

• Dalton (8/5): Not like the pictures - The property was not as the pictures, our room was tired and smelled of cigarettes. The surroundings of the property were not well maintained and had boxes of rubbish. The host was nice and helpful though and it was a decent stay but could do with some love.
• Adriano (5/5): Beautiful view from the room. Nice and secluded from the traffic. The top suite was horrible. From bed to shower to chea - The views were amazing. The Room was horrible. No closet space. It had one rack to hang a few items. The shower was an absolute joke. A tub with a shower curtain that clings to you as you try to shower. No room to move. Hard to get in and out of the tub. The colors that room and cheap furniture were painted,made you not want to be indoors. Our friends had the other suite which had a huge shower,plenty of storage and closet space. Painted neutral. A night and day difference. Very upset over that room. Which was the most expensive unit.
• Josephine (10/5): I would 100% recommend Medea Residence. Perfect location for a relaxing stay - It was an oasis of calm but yet only a short walk to the centre of Taormina. The apartment was beautiful particularly the bathroom and well equipped. The pool area was so quiet and peaceful with amazing views. Beautiful gardens with orange, lemon and grapefruit trees and flowers. We had a lovely little terrace outside with views of the mountains
• Anisha (9/5): Lovely stay - Nice stay not far from the city centre of Taormina. You can rent a private parking place which is great because in the rest of the town it is hard to park the car. The host was very friendly.
• Florence (8/5): Great Value in a Good Location! - -Deluxe Studio had a lovely spacious balcony overlooking the hills and sea with sun beds and a table -Pool was medium sized, plenty big enough as was never busy and had plenty of sun beds. It was also cleaned daily and open from 10am-9pm which was great. Pool towels also provided which were appreciated! -Room had powerful aircon, a well equipped kitchenette and a hairdryer -Good location, 5 mins walk from cable car, 8 min walk from bus station (links to neighbouring towns, cities and the airport), and 10 min walk into town centre -Some minor additions to the room would be beneficial however not crucial (full length mirror & bedside lamps) -Daily housekeeping wasn’t provided, this didn’t bother us but some people may expect it -Wasn’t aware in advance of the €100 euro cash deposit requirement or €42 euro city tax (€3 per person per day). Again not a problem but meant we had to find a cash point

• Emma (10/5): Excellent stay. I highly recommend staying there. - Location of the property is excellent. Just a five minute walk from the centre of Taormina, the bus station, and the cable car. The apartment itself was fabulous and had a beautiful balcony with wonderful views. We went out to eat for lunch/dinner every day, so we didn't use the kitchen within the apartment, but it certainly had all the facilities that we would have needed had we decided to eat indoors. Not a fault at all, but would have been a bonus if there was a mirror in the room, near an electrical plug so that I could blow dry my hair a bit easier.
