• Adam (8/5): Enjoyed our stay and the hospitality. Brandon is an artsy little enclave. Pleasantly surprised. Check it out on Saturd - Nice staff. Great piano bar entertainment on Saturday night. Located near Middlebury. Manual elevator, so you may need to wait if you don’t want to walk a couple of easy flights of stairs. Fairly common for older inns and hotels in New England.

Totally stepping back in time with modern conveniences. Free WiFi. And the town of Brandon is just perfect for a little Vermont weekend. Great local art, super restaurant around the corner had a comedy show in the basement Saturday night that made the evening special. Would definitely be happy to return to Brandon. It’s not luxurious. Old world and homey. Good Vermont vibe.
• Stojakovic (9/5): Quintessential Historic Vermont Inn. - The inn has a quintessential Vermont Inn feel and vibe, fireplace, lounge gastropub and cozy rooms. The bonus was the singer and pianist Ann Guigui who entertained, sang and got everyone involved by impromptu song selections and Karaoke. The hot water for the showers was not very hot, i think there was a limit stop placed on the fixtures.

• Shiran (7/5): A sweet hotel in the heart of Brendon - We loved the evening concerts, the elevator, the staff, the beautiful decor, the location, and the general vibes of the place. The breakfast is below expectations and we thought it was misleading to even call it a breakfast. We did not like the extra credit card fees, as this came as a surprise. We want to see the final price, including everything when we consider booking a hotel.

They had a team of skiers young skiers who ate all the breakfast and they did - Nice manager we met at the bar who wonderful and wants to improve the facility. Rooms need improvement. The bathroom was very cold, tub old which I can appreciate, but not comfy at all! All very old fixtures and sink was clogged and incredibly small! We told him about the clock sink, but they never were able to fix it in the three nights we spent there.

I wouldn't mind paying extra for a hot breakfast - i.e. eggs, potatoes, sausage, hot cereal, fresh muffins. After 3 mornings, the continental breakfast gets uninspiring.

• Gary (3/5): Love the town and historical atmosphere. - Beautiful, historic building. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice little pub onsite. The pool and back outdoor area were beautiful! This inn could be stunning! First impressions are important. Walking into a dirty door and random furniture in the sunroom is depressing. Wash or paint the front door, move table and chairs from overfilled ballroom and arrange them in the front sunroom, add plants, comfy patio furniture and seasonal decor. Install new, clean carpets throughout the building and fix the door frames where old locks were chiseled out. Invest in some decent mattresses!!! Improve your breakfast service.

We loved the location and the town is charming. The furnishings and bathroom were a bit "long in the tooth" and the shower head was for anyone 5'6" and shorter (all of us were 5'10 to 6' tall.) The cafe is being "reimagined" and was closed, so breakfast was a robust continental. They need a microwave. I made a breakfast sandwich with hard boiled eggs and ham and cheese on a toasted English muffin but couldn't heat it in a microwave to melt the cheese. Using the counter top "oven" would've taken way too long.

Breakfast was lacking in options, limited selection of food. Ended up eating out for breakfast. The elevator had to be operated by staff and was a bit unnerving to ride in. The floor in our room was very uneven. Lamp on nightstand didn’t work and was reported but never fixed.

• Terry (5/5): It was a very historic building and the elevator was cool to see. Location was nice but we found it very uncomfortable. - The history of the building. The man checking us in was not at all welcoming and friendly. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and there were bugs in the room. The only roll of toilet paper was on the holder with no extra rolls, lightbulb was out and it was extremely hard to control the temperature in the room as the air blew directly on the bed.
• Kaila (9/5): Our stay at The Brandon Inn was lovely. - Perfectly centrally located, beautiful grounds. Right near a creek and waterfall.
• Jody (6/5): - Spent 2 nights, room was never cleaned, beds were old and very uncomfortable, noises from pipes in walls. This is a 200 year old hotel, which could have been more comfortable.
• Kate (7/5): Last minute booking. Very happy to find the Inn. Brandon is a lovely town. The owner and staff are exceptionally nice. - Spectacular old building. The antique elavator is a work of art. Without destroying your he charm the place could be upgraded. Breakfast was some stale bagels.
• nancy (10/5): - It is a beautiful Inn, staff was amazing. Very kind and helpful!! Love the elevator. I wish we could have stayed longer.
