• Laetitia (9/5): Super propre calme et confortable - L’emplacement dans un quartier propre et calme, à proximité de tout, le calme dans l’auberge et le respect des autres, acceuil chaleureux, la propreté est parfaite, les douches etaient neuves et tres pratiques ! Avec le pommeau si on veut pas se laver les cheveux tel jour Il n’y a pas de chambre privée pour un couple, on a pas acces a notre nourriture la nuit ni dans la chambre ni dans la cuisine

Todos los voluntarios y quienes hacen la recepción tienen una actitud amigable y una gran predisposición a responder cualquier consulta. Sigue siendo uno de mis lugares favoritos de Sidney!

• Chloe May (8/5): Did the job - The rooms were comfortable with lockers. Rooftop was lovely and common room great. Kitchen was clean and the bathrooms were immaculate. Really clean place 24/7. Very sociable too with great activities on hosted by Nicholas. So many unnecessary rules. My wet towel got taken down off my bed ( that wasn’t impacting the person ontop of me ) and got replaced with a sign to say don’t hang my towel. No hooks or pegs to dry my stuff. Then asked at reception what the deal was and was told it was to keep the room looking pretty. Bit random.

• Bruno Amado (10/5): The best hostel in Darlinghurst - I absolutely love this place in Sydney. When I first arrived, I thought I’d stay just one week, but Nate’s Place quickly started to feel like home. Everything is always very clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. From the housekeeping team to the reception crew – especially Doro, Cheng and Gee – everyone goes above and beyond to create a welcoming atmosphere. There’s a really chill and relaxed vibe here, and it’s so easy to meet people and make friends, whether you’re hanging out on the rooftop or cooking in the kitchen. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in Sydney!

• Jake (3/5): Inconsiderate staff and insufficient kitchen - Bathrooms were kept clean. We bought food and drinks to store in the fridge for our time at the hostel due to Sydney being expensive to eat out and labelled our bag with our name, room and date we were leaving (as you are suppose to do). However, we came back one day and found that our bag had been removed from the fridge and put into the bin due to a deep clean being conducted. We immediately asked reception who said just pull everything out of the fridges to find it (we did, but it still wasn't there). We went back to reception to tell them this, to which they replied are you on the group chat. We were never informed about this group chat when we arrived (and there were only about 8 people on it) but a photo of our food bag was on it with a comment saying "if someone does not claim this bag today, it will be thrown out". When 8 people out of a whole hostel are on a group chat (most of whom were staff anyway on the chat), how are we expected to answer this? Needless to say, we did not get any refund for our food being thrown. The fridges were absolutely full in any case (no freezers) and there are no ovens to cook, just hobs so you are limited with what you can cook anyway compared to other hostels. Kitchen also very small for the amount of people needing to cook. The facilities for the number of people there are at full capacity all the time. We were also not told that, if you leave when there are no staff on reception, you have to claim your own deposit back (there is a tiny notice saying this next to reception which can easily be missed).

• Montserrat (6/5): - Buena ubicación y ambiente en el hostal Los baños quedaban muy lejos de las habitaciones. Entraron a nuestra habitación 6 veces por día a limpiarla distinta gente del staff en vez de hacerlo todo de una vez y sin tocar la puerta ni avisar.

• Marie (9/5): Top Lage und sehr hilfsbereites Personal - Das Hostel ist sehr gemütlich, gut ausgestattet und super gelegen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein besonderer Dank an Doro, die mir sehr kompetent weitergeholfen hat.
• le_miaz (8/5): un bon endroit pour débuter son pvt - espace de rangement spacieux mais insuffisants. facilité de rencontrer et parler avec les autres personnes, la promiscuité aidant! les escaliers...et la taille de la cuisine un peu petite au vu du nombre de backpackers (ambiance club sandwich) structure des lits pas la folie tout de même.

Only feedback would be improved late check in procedure, I was having trouble with my SIM and couldn't call the number, thankfully an employee saw me and opened reception. Perhaps making it so you contact the number via WhatsApp would be a better way.

El personal fue muy amable y atento en todo momento, siempre dispuesto a ayudar con cualquier duda o necesidad. La ubicación es excelente, ya que permite moverse fácilmente por la ciudad y acceder a los principales puntos de interés. Sin duda, es una opción muy recomendable para quienes buscan un lugar bien situado, con buen trato y una experiencia positiva en general.

• Léa (4/5): Trop petit hostel au vu du nombre de chambre - Les salle de bain étaient bien organisées avec lisseur et sèche cheveux. Le rooftop est sympa. Les lits étaient confortables Les toilettes ne se trouvaient pas dans l’étage des dortoirs donc vraiment pas pratique pour se lever en pleine nuit. Les salles de bains étaient remplies d’eau par terre donc glissage assuré .. Minuscule cuisine au vu du nombre de personne résident ici et sans clim. Pas de salle ouverte H24 pour se poser donc très dommage. Beaucoup trop cher pour la qualité de vie de l’hostel.

• Marlon (6/5): Otima localizacao - Localizacao excelente! Fui muito bem atendido pelas pessoas da recepcao (que fica fechado a partir das 10pm). Local com varias atividades, boa cozinha e regras claras (grupo de whatsapp para comunicacao com os hospedes) Banheiro deixou MUITO a desejar. Admito que sempre via funcionarios indo limpar mas o aspecto de velho me incomodou bastante. O fato de as camas nao possuirem cortinas foi um ponto negativo tambem.

• Martin (8/5): Good place to reach city by foot.. - Its quite nice to spend time on rooftop, there were not so many people.. kitchen is decently furnished. Proximity of city is main advantage.. To have handwash in corridor is good idea. In some hours bit overcrowded. Mainly common room.. Many fridges in place but always full.

• Macarena (3/5): Unorganized and poorly managed - The hostel is clean and has a good location. Staff was terrible. I informed them both by email and through Booking that I would be arriving late for check-in but I never received a response. When I arrived at the hostel, the receptionist (a new girl) gave me a key but the room was already fully occupied. I went back to reception, explained the issue, and she gave me another room. When I went upstairs again, I had the same problem in this new room. I went down for the third time and she gave me yet another room, but when I entered, there was only one bed available and it wasn’t clean. Housekeeping had not changed the sheets. I took a photo of the bed and showed it to her, but the receptionist told me that “that’s how they make the beds” and that I was supposed to make it myself (?). I was very tired so I ended up sleeping in that bed anyway. The next day, I went early to speak with another receptionist, someone more experienced. She told me I was right and that the bed had indeed not been made. She gave me clean sheets but I still had to make the bed myself. She also asked for the name of the receptionist who had assisted me that night (probably to blame her), when in reality it wasn’t her fault at all—especially considering she was new and left alone during the night shift. Overall, the whole experience was awful. I wasn’t offered any discount when I extended my stay for one more night and I’m still waiting for the refund of my deposit, which I’ve had to keep chasing.

El ambiente es muy lindo y acogedor, y todos los chicos son súper amables y atentos, siempre dispuestos a ayudar con una sonrisa. Además, no solo conocí a una amiga, sino también a personas realmente excelentes. Fue una experiencia hermosa que recomiendo muchísimo, porque te da la oportunidad de conocer gente maravillosa que hace todo aún más especial. Me llevo recuerdos muy lindos y sin duda volvería sin pensarlo.♡♡♡ ¡Gracias por todo!la Pase Genial!!!
