The host was knowledgeable about the town and provided recommendation regarding a great Greek restaurant for dinner. The host was very friendly and provided a delicious full English breakfast.

Quiet and comfy. Shower a little cramped and quite a difficult area near one way, fast traffic, off the beaten track. BUT quiet and night.

• Kate (9/5): Convenient, comfortable B & B run by excellent host. - Location was just out of Carlisle city centre but within walking distance of the shops, cathedral, castle and other things I'd come to see. Parking was convenient (right next to the B&B) and very well organized via a permit. Leanne was a great host, concerned about details and interested in my stay. The full English breakfast was delicious! There was some noise from traffic in the property.

• Klaus (8/5): Ansprechende Unterkunft mit sehr gutem Frühstück und toller Betreuung - Das Frühstück und die Betreuung waren sehr gut. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Die Einrichtung ist einfach aber alles ist sehr sauber und die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut.

• Phil (10/5): A very friendly and comfortable guest house, perfect for the solo traveller. - Very well-located in the centre of Carlisle and, for me, particularly convenient for work. Leanne made me feel very welcome from the outset and was kind and helpful throughout my stay. My comfy room was ideal for relaxing in the evenings: it had all the amenities I expected and for a very reasonable price. And the cooked breakfasts in the morning were wonderful - I have withdrawal symptoms now I've left! Thank you for making my week in Carlisle so comfortable and easy. I will certainly be staying again. :-)

• Annerose (9/5): Angenehmer Aufenthalt in Carlisle und im Ashleigh House - Die Unterkunft liegt nicht weit vom zentralen Platz Carlisles entfernt. Bahnhof und ein Busterminal sind zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Auch das Schloss und eine bekannte Galerie sind in der Nähe. Das Frühstück in der Unterkunft Ashleigh House war sehr lecker und umfangreich; es wurde individuell zubereitet. Es gab frisches Obst und verschiedene Zutaten für das Müsli. Die Gastgeberin erfüllte jeden Wunsch. Auch erfuhr ich von ihr große Hilfsbereitschaft. Sie gab Ratschläge und war sehr freundlich. Die Unterkunft war sehr gepflegt und sauber. Vom Zimmer aus hörte man morgens und abends den Autoverkehr.

• Horton (10/5): If in Carlisle definitely book yourself in here. - Brilliant experience nice quiet location and short walk to where everything is the room was perfect very clean and comfortable, Leanne was friendly and helpful on arrival and the following morning was served an excellent full English breakfast before checking out, I was in Carlisle for a reunion myself travelling up from London would absolutely highly recommend and on next visit will definitely book there again. Mark. Everything was great nothing to dislike.

• Darlo Chris (8/5): Well situated for city centre facilities, a comfy accommodation with pleasant staff. - Great B&B - I was upgraded from a single to small double on arrival. Parking was easy with the provided parking permit. The room was a decent size for a single person. The landlady was very pleasant and helpful. No hot water in the bathroom sink, though the en-suite shower was available to use.

Leanne was so welcoming and also stored our luggage so we could sightsee without baggage. Breakfast was amazing. Would definitely recommend! Everything was brilliant.

• Antony (9/5): Ideal for a short stay visiting Carlisle with an excellent host. - Accommodation met all our needs. Excellent host. Lovely cooked vegetarian breakfast with good choice of continental options. Room was quiet and comfortable. It was good to have two chairs. The location suited us well- it was in easy walking distance of the main city sights and shops etc. as well as walks along the river birdwatching. It was also only a short drive to visit the Solway Firth and RSPB reserve. The parking permit was helpful and allowed us to park in the road next to the accommodation. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. It took a while for hot water to come through the sink tap, so it is worth persevering with.

The owner was really welcoming and when we had a minor issue with the heating, she was able to sort it quickly and efficiently. Can't recommend this place to stay more highly. Clean and well decorated. Nice spacious single room and lovely comfortable bed. Hostess Leanne is lovely and friendly and can't do enough for you. Nice breakfast. Front bedroom is on a busy road which can be noisy although there is double glazing. However it didn't bother me.
