Guest Reviews
- Roberta (10/5): - Staff fantastic breakfast fantastic , roof garden and view or the port our host Juliette was great and so helpful
- ZOE (8/5): - The view from my room (a junior suite overlooking the port) was sensational. So wonderful to wake up, open the windows to such a beautiful scenery and bustle of the port. Lovely friendly staff and great roof terrace where breakfast is served with more wonderful views of the marina and Hydra. The only thing that let down this wonderful room was the bathroom - very plain in comparison to the bedroom (and price) - best described as functional. But a minor criticism - the location of the Douskos Port House is perfect and a definite recommend.
- Loeta (10/5): - fantastic location with stunning views from rooftop terrace. expect stairs. every thing aside from shops along the harbor involve stairs.
- Svein Erik (10/5): Fantastisk hotell på vakre Hydra. - Fantastisk hotell på vakre Hydra. Betjeningen var flinke og hjelpsomme. Rommet var rent og helt. Alt var helt topp.
- Rory (10/5): - The hotel is ideally located right in the center of the port. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and all the staff are super friendly and exceptionally helpful.
- Philip (10/5): - Right on the harbour not inland. Convenient for everything.
Manager Vasiliou was charming and very welcoming. He made our stay memorable. A lot of steep steps up to the accommodation
- Maricela (10/5): Best stay in Hydra - Amazing time in this location! Vasileo the property manager is very attentive and professional. He made out stay amazing! Breakfast was delicious. The port view was beautiful to see waking up everyday from your room and from the rooftop! Located right on the strip where all restaurants and shoppings are.. Highly recommend!
- Pantelia (10/5): - The view and friendliness of the staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was a great hotel with an incredible view!! The staff was very friendly, and not only did we get checked in way before their check in time, they even invited us to join the breakfast for that day! A+++ hotel!!
- IOANNIS (2/5): MONEY FOR NOTHING - Room #4 has only a window that faces a wall on 1 meter distance . Absolutely no view . Priced at euro 135 per night you can get a NO view IKEA furnitured small room with a bathroom that is not fixxed , and a nice breafast that starts at 9.00 in the morning while ALL residents were there for a sailing competition and wanted to leave at 8 o;clock .We asked to make it earlier but they forgot to inform the breafast crew . Room #5 is probably the same . Maybe other rooms are money worthy but they should price different rooms differently . One of the worst hotel choices ever made
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful location with rooftop feature for breakfast and hanging out. Quiet rooms with good beds. Would prefer a door on the shower, but it didn't leak too much.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Location location location and great breakfast - Its walking distance from the ferry. No burro required. Great buffet breakfast included in terrace with an incredible view of harbor. Next to great restaurants and bars. CLEAN, modern room and confy. You can walk everywhere because in HYDRA there are no cars. Entrance might shock you, stairs but once you get to your room. you room, your gonna thank me.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Cette hôtel est super bien situé à Hydra
Le petit déjeuner est excellent
Et la vue est tout simplement magnifique
Les chambres sont un peu petite mais bon on passe jamais la journée entière dans une chambre
Superbe voyage :)))))))
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff, great views of the harbour and an incredibly quiet place to stay. I even booked my friend here for their honeymoon trip because of the quality of room and location!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean, fresh room, good location, but beware, steep steps up to reception.
- Ann (6/5): - Was in an excellent position. Views fantastic from rooftop. The stairs to the hotel a nightmare. I felt there was a lack of security with no one on the desk all the time. Safe in room did not work. Breakfast was good. Is above a night club and the noise is horrendous.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - nice roof top patio. staff very friendly and helpful.
- TomDel (10/5): - A wonderful place to visit....but for seniors, be careful on the long front steps.
Manager was most helpful.
- Izhak (10/5): Ferfect room and perfect view - We had the Ferfect room with water port view. This is the room worth the pay.
Big and comfort room, good host service and very good breakfast.
Very recomanded the room with water port view
- Ben (8/5): Beautiful but chaotic - The location and overall look of the place both inside and out is stand-out amazing and the views from the terrace are breathtaking. Rooms were peaceful and beautifully zen. Beds supremely comfy. Excellent breakfast. but there were some issues (as they were not long open) like a broken towel rail hadn't been fixed, a wall socket hung slightly out of the wall. There was the odd design flaw in an otherwise clean look, like a bathroom door that opens straight onto - almost into - the loo, so you had to shuffle around what was otherwise a very well designed ensuite in order to access it. Flip the door around to an outward opening hinge and it'd be perfect. Service was friendly and VERY familiar - overly so for some perhaps, but I like that, when it's backed by efficiency, but this really wasn't. Housekeeping sat on all the shady seats one breakfast, so guests had to swelter in the direct sun, as they didn't think to move for them. I arranged for some important colleagues to join me for a glass of champagne on the terrace one evening, only to find nobody there at the time we had arranged (and reconfirmed twice!) so no access to the promised ice bucket, nor any sign of the promised snacks, although I did manage to locate the flutes (it's a guesthouse and is not manned 24/7, but when you make an arrangement and reconfirm it twice, you really should stick to it!) In short, it was a little like a Greek Fawlty Towers, but I still would recommend it.
