- Alan (4/5): - Good location but the rooms are not comfortable, there’s no elevator and there was a damp odor in the whole hotel.
- Amanda (8/5): - We had a fine stay at this hotel, but the room was quirky. There is no elevator and the stairs are narrow. The room was a decent size and comfortable, but the toilet was in a separate room from the sink and shower, which was interesting. The walls are VERY thin; thankfully the other guests were not very loud. The reception desk is only staffed from 3-8:30 pm, so there is no option to drop your luggage if you arrive early. The hotel is in a nice location to cafes, so we killed time for a few hours nearby until someone arrived. Overall, a decent stay.

- Rebecca (10/5): - Great location! Very nice room in the old section of town with many restaurants & shopping within walking distance. It's relatively close to the train station (about 15 min walk), but it's easy to take public transportation or a taxi. We didn't have breakfast there, but it looked very nice with a well-appointed breakfast room. The owner (I believe), was very nice when checking in and helpful when we ran into a small problem. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you prefer staying in boutique hotels rather than large, impersonal chain hotels.

- Ana (8/5): Hotel de charme réellement charmant - Nous avons aimé notre nuit à L'adresse boutique hotel. Personnel adorable, chambre sympa et propre, literie confortable, petit déjeuner délicieux. Si on devait faire une petite remarque constructive ce serait d'allumer le chauffage dans la chambre un certain temps avant l'arrivée du client de manière à que la température soit agréable en prenant possession de la chambre. Réservation validée je saute d ans l’avion et arrivé 1h15 plus tard à l’hôtel j’appelle on me dit que la réception est fermée depuis 20h30 et qu’on ne peut rien faire pour moi et soit disant on m’avait envoyé un message pour me prévenir. Je fais pression pour obtenir un remboursement insistant sur le fait que j’avais pas l’info et la pour se proteger l’hôtel m’envoie le lendemain à 5h ce fameux message censé me prévenir qu’ils vont fermer. Et du coup c’est considéré comme un no show donc je suis facturé sans avoir dormi dans la chambre. Tout simplement de la malhonnêteté. À fuir!!!

Le centre est assez animé en soirée ce qui est sympathique et grace aux fenetres on est tres bien isolé du bruit. Le personnel est serviable et agréable.

I would have appreciated a tiny bit more clarification about how check-in worked (especially when the reception opened), but that was the only thing I can find to criticize. A wonderful experience, wholeheartedly recommended!

- Carol (8/5): Great location in Tours - The location of L'Adresse Hotel is excellent. Our room was on the front with a small balcony and the double windows took care of any street noise. Room was a bit smaller than expected, but we're used to small rooms in France. Housekeeping was excellent. We had several days of rain so it would have been nice to have access to the lobby area, but it was closed most of the time. We also had to call for check in even though we arrived within the checkin window. Generally, there was no one at the front desk during most of the day.

- Keith (10/5): Charming and Friendly - A lovely, family run hotel with owners who were attentive and friendly. The hotel is extremely close to a wide array of bars and restaurants as well as the Loire river. Rooms were tastefully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The double glazed balcony was effective at keeping the noise out. If you are looking for an authentic, independent hotel with charm and a warm welcome then you should look no further.

They speak French (of course, we're in France) and I was having a hard time understanding them. Minutes later she sent me an email with perfectly clear directions. When we arrived they were so welcoming. The hotel is beautiful and in an excellent location!

It is a perfect place for a one or two-night stay but we might have felt cramped for a longer stay as there is not a lot of room to spread out.

The hotel owner, Isham, went out of his way to make sure we met our connection for our Backroads bike trip in St Pierre de Corps when the taxi didn’t show up for us in the morning. He took us himself!

- Julia (8/5): - L’Adresse Boutique hotel is right in the heart of the old town in Tours, in a bustling pedestrian area surrounded by innumerable cafes and bistros and bars, but is well-soundproofed against street noise. The building is historic, so our room (61 steps up a narrow staircase; no lift) was tiny with few amenities, but quaint and clean. The hostess was very gracious, friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good.

The location is close to lots of bars and restaurants, but the rooms are soundproofed to an amazing degree so that we heard Saturday night revealers only once, and barely, even at that. I loved this hotel. I don’t think I’ve ever said that in a review before.

The floor seemed very uneven in my room and one of the 2 bedroom light was awfully bright - the lights weren’t matching. I was also missing a blow dryer. The bed was very comfortable and you could set the air conditioner/heat to any temperature you prefer. Very convenient location in the center to walk anywhere.

Due to very effective external and internal windows, you hear no noise from the street when the windows are closed. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

- Paul (10/5): Exceptional hotel in the old town sector of Tours - This hotel is very conveniently located in the picturesque old town of Tours in a completely modernised 18th Century house. It is in the restaurant area and near local historical sights. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our 3 day stay. Our room was always very clean with nice touches such as glasses instead of plastic cups. The wi fi and TV reception were excellent. In such a busy area the excellent double glazing was very welcome. On the last day we took breakfast which was excellent value. If we return to Tours we would stay there again and would generally recommend it to anyone else except if they had limited mobility because the hotel has no lift and the stairs are slightly narrower than in a newly built property. Overall we enjoyed a first class experience at this hotel for a very reasonable daily rate.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - We walked straight past this small charming hotel twice, only for the female owner to come out and greet us. It is an oasis of calm; the decor is classic French greys, and we had to double check that it was a 2* hotel - I have visited plenty of 3* and 4* that had worse decor. The arrival process was very easy, the night-door explained clearly. I judge hotels on three criteria - bed, bath, and breakfast. 1) Bed. The bed was perfectly comfortable with fresh clean white linen, and the room perfectly clean - the windows are triple glazed, with an outwards and an inwards window - when closed, you can hear nothing of the outside. The room was not enormous, but perfectly suitable and understandable given the limits of the building. Being 2* there is no kettle/tea/coffee, but why would you - you are in the Touraine (!) and could literally jump out of the window into a cafe! 2) Bath. There was a bath, rather than shower unit. There was nowhere for the shower head to be fixed at/above head height, so had to be handheld - a small inconvenience. Being 2*, the toiletries are limited to hand soap and a bottle of multi-purpose hand/body/hair, which did the job. 3) Breakfast. Breads (brioche!), cheeses, fruits, yoghurts, cereals, some ham, juices, coffee, tea etc. Plenty on offer and served until 10.30am. In brief, I would recommend this hotel without hesitation - comfortable, well-located, well-fed, clean, quiet, and such charming hosts!

Very small single room with tiny bathroom. Good value and good location but I suspect the bigger rooms are better.
- Verified traveler (6/5): no elevator, twin bed room was not available - I can recommend this hotel: location is central, rooms are comfortable, on the small side but considering it is located in the old part of Tours, the hotel is good. My beef if that months ago I specifically booked a room with 2 twin beds. The person on duty that day insisted that we had booked a double room and proceded to show me a paper proving that in her opinion, I had booked incorrectly. Not so. We had no option than to accept a room with a queen sized bed the first night because the last twin room was occupied. We were moved the next day to the room as specified. The other beef I have is that at the time I booked the details page for this hotel showed an elevator. I pointed this error to the proprietor and see the detail page has since been corrected. One of the reasons for booking this hotel was because it was shown to have an elevator. My friend and I are both somewhat disabled so we were very incovenienced. I am unsure if this is a mistake by the website or the proprietor.
