The manager is offsite and some things had not been maintained. DVD player with lots of movies available, but flat batteries in the remote so we couldn't make it work. • Tammie (9/5): Loved it, I’ll be back! - The room had a great vibe, cosy and fresh. I felt safe and in a great location, with great parking. The bed was great, as well as bathroom/ shower. The only small and rather minor thing was the fly screen door doesn’t lock and I have children.

There was no wi-fi and no streaming. This was a bit strange in 2025. There was a selection of DVDs but they were old and not very good. This was disappointing. I think this should be made clear when booking.
• Perry (10/5): Love staying at Lorne World. - We are returning holidayers that always love staying at the Lorme World apartments. Have stayed here a few times and every stay has been amazing. The property is Managed by Mel & her husband and they have always been helpful, polite, kind, professional and very welcoming. Love this place and will definitely be back again, and again, and again. Thanks guys from me and my lil fam bams ❤️ Everything. There is absolutely nothing to dislike here.

We can highly recommend this special spot just a stone’s throw from the Main Street & beach, but cleverly tucked away for an indulgent & relaxing weekend. The unit is beautifully appointed, & we will return to enjoy its magic again one day.

We didn’t read all the details before booking, so it complicated our check-in for return flight. Only one coffee pod was left for a 2 night stay by 2 adults - shame. Pricey for 2 adults in our view.

The room location was perfect for the reasons we were down there - easy access to the beach, surf club, pub, street & friends house. Add free wifi - perhaps look into a deal with the Bayview hotel where the rooms you own can tap into the wifi of the hotel for an additional fee. There wasn't any body wash for the shower, only shampoo & conditioner

• Alex (9/5): A Gem in Lorne – The Perfect Stay! - Our recent visit to Lorne was made even more special by our stay in the California Room at this amazing motel. The room was simply perfect, offering a huge terrace with stunning views of the bay. Waking up to the sea breeze and enjoying evenings on the terrace were absolute highlights of our trip. The room itself was impeccably clean and well-equipped with all the amenities we needed. From the cozy bed to the thoughtful touches, everything was top-notch. The location of the motel couldn’t have been better – it’s right in the heart of Lorne! Restaurants, cafes, and even the drugstore were just a short walk away, making everything so convenient. The combination of the breathtaking sea view, the fantastic location, and the comfortable stay made our experience unforgettable. I can confidently say this is the best spot in Lorne! I’d highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area, but please note that this review is specifically for the California Room. It has become my go-to choice every time I plan a trip to Lorne. • Wing (1/5): The worst experience ever - almost got poisoned by formaldehyde! - No I am writing this hotel review to express my extreme dissatisfaction: *Not Suitable for Children, Pregnant Women, or Humans* 1. Broken lighting. 2. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. 3. Fresh paint in the kitchen and bathroom, filled with the smell of formaldehyde, making every second in the shower unbearable and feeling close to being poisoned. 4. Lots of mosquitoes. 5. Old and worn-out facilities. 6. Only single-use soap provided, no shower gel options. 7. No Wi-Fi provided, and I was advised to connect to public Wi-Fi, which wasn't available. 8. Directions to the location were unclear; I had no idea how to get in once I reached the entrance. 9. The smell of formaldehyde was so strong that I couldn’t sleep at all. 10. Stains on the bathroom floor. 11. Although dishes are provided, guests must clean them themselves or face an additional charge. 12. Extremely unstable water pressure in the kitchen and bathroom. I urge the host to try staying here for one night before deciding if this room is suitable for rental. For the first time, I wanted to rush through the night and leave the hotel as soon as possible. It's extremely unacceptable and unreasonable!

Awsome size tv, was one of the largest we've ever seen in any other accommodation. Walking distance to the main street, and behind the Lorne pub. The shower base could do with a clean, or replacement. The ornamental floral arrangements in the bathroom were dusty and so were a few other things in the bathroom. There was complimentary tea and coffee, however there was no sugar and only 3 coffee pods, we bought our own coffee and sugar.
