It appears the photos on booking.com are not the correct VIEW… we were very disappointed with the lack of ocean view by comparison to what was shown as our Apartment. We had a very ugly view with minimal ocean snippets. The company who handles the checkin were hard to deal with and you pick up the keys from a different address to the property which was ok for us as we had a car. There was only regular TV which was hard as the weather was bad and we could have done with access to Netflix or similar. The bed in the main room was shocking.

We will definitely be back - First off the location is 10/10 The property had so much space, was clean and had everything you would need for your family. It was cozy, clean and the view was amazing The only thing I can say about the property was that there was no clothes horse to dry clothes on (although it did have a dryer we don’t use it for some of our clothing) Some lights were not working which didn’t effect our stay and the oven took a while for me to figure out what was off as it didn’t have an instructions and the button inductions had worn off

• lynda (10/5): Loved it! - We absolutely loved our stay, the location was perfect. The rooms were great, and the apartment was super clean. We reached out to property management a couple of times and they were super helpful, prompt and professional. Highly recommend this accomodation we will stay here again. The stove was challenging to use, however there were electric hot plates provided.

• Leong (9/5): Enjoyable. - Generally well presented and clean. Great location. Several cockroaches were seen crawling on the balcony. Insecticide was provided and a generous spray around the edges of the balcony killed them and stopped new ones coming back.

Room was wonderful and spacious for our family of four. Room was clean and well stocked with kitchen items. The room was a bit tired and worn and in need of some minor repair in places - a door and a light fitting, but otherwise it was fabulous.

Traveling with older teens & young adults felt safe knowing they could walk around and be in a close proximity. Room was very quiet - open those doors and you can hear the bussle of people below. Although we loved our room & balcony other appartments around may not be rentals and smoking on balconies was permitted. It was no pleasant some nights to sit on balcony to enjoy the view

Dont lie to customers - Great location, pool area outstanding Portable AC unit that was a makeshift fix to apartment having broken AC. It was duct taped to sliding doors so you couldn’t open door. Reported first day and got updated daily that it would be fixed and nothing happened

Then another txt to state where to leave keys..... we departed the hotel and once we drove out gates a silver box stated H residence's box which is where we dropped keys into. Apparently not the correct location of keys drop off point. Now no bond release?. Great stay bad start & bad end!

So close to everything which made everything accessible and easy for us to find/get - the pool facilities were great, allowed us to enjoy the sun for most of the day and spend time in the pool - without it being an ocean view, we thought the view was still nice - beds were comfortable - kitchen sink leaked entire stay - shower door leaked - tv remote didn’t work entire stay - some lights in both bathroom and kitchen did not work - had a portable air conditioner that overheated some nights and would dispense hot air - 17th October, issues with the air conditioner arose, and it still hadn't been resolved by the time we got there or had any timeline whilst we were there - due to air conditioner in main bedroom, the room wasn’t sound proof causing us to hear the nightlife until it died down outside (plastic sheet that didn't span the whole length of the door which allowed bugs inside and noise to get through very easily) - tv in main bedroom would stop working if too many things were on in the apartment - carpet was stained in the living room - patches of dust build up on the walls and roof in some areas - mould build up on the roof of the shower and some in the roof of the kitchen - balcony door didn't have a handle on the outside (easier to replace the handle than install an alternate lock?) - arrived on the 29th October, emailed about issues relating to the tv remote and kitchen sink on the 31st of October and didn't hear back till it was time to check out, and that email was about key return and not related to the issues we had enquired about. Wanted to know if any issues arose, they did, and nothing was done about them or communicated.

• Ayto-Gan (3/5): - View Wasnt clean, cockroaches dead and alive everywhere. My husband has alzheimer's so payed to have someone mèt at the lobby. Got there, Saturday night in Sufers Paradise and got a text saying noone available to meet us, so collect key from drop. No idea where that is, because it was private run unit, hotel didn't want to take responsibility of our luggage so 7pm we are walking around sufers, no phone reception, noone to call, no idea where it was. Accidentally stumbled apon it as we were leaving. Lamps 3 out of 4 not working, tape all on the windows to the view. Terrible directions to parking, cushions on couch so dirty I washed them myself. Pulled fold out bed in lounge for my daughter, so dusty. Got blankets out of cupboard which were not clean. Wouldn't use them. Electronic key card, died so sat in the hall way for an hour until they sent a professional to fix. Seriously, I lived on the Gold Coast 20 years, horrified. And it cost $5000.
• JOANNE (1/5): S—T - Location It would have to be the most run down apartment I’ve ever stayed in aircon not working main balcony door could lock it shower rose leaking dishwasher door couldn’t open it tvs don’t working down lights in main bed room were hinging down carpets were pulled and torn main entrance door swipe didn’t work and most of all the agent that was looking after the unit didn’t give a hoot when we did complain she hung up the phone on us very hard when you have got a 5 yr old child and couldn’t lock the balcony door and we were on the 5 th floor DO NOT EVER USE H RESISTANCE QSTAY SURFERS PARADISE THEY ARE THE WORST OF THE WORST.

When brought this up with Q Stay there response was pretty poor. My family was pretty disappointed.

• Katrina (7/5): Uncomfortable if you have back issues - The pool was spectacular and ocean view was great. Great washing machine & dryer. Air conditioning was great and throughout all rooms which is rare on the Gold Coast as many bedrooms only have a fan. A dirty muffin tray was left in the dishwasher from previous tenants. Very hard lounges which spasmed my back. Beds although soft were not supportive also spasmed my back. Luckily I took a blow up mattress as a backup. Outdoor furniture rusted. TVs were not smart tvs so luckily I brought Google chrome device. Dirty marks on walls and lounge and shower grout that had not been cleaned in a while. The floor number does not match the room numbers eg floor 24 room numbers start with 22xxx so was confusing. A lot of people were wondering why their room card would not activate in the lift, eg trying to press 22 when it was 24.
• Cindy (6/5): Average Apartment, Needs an Upgrade - The location is great! Right on Cavil Ave. Lovely views. The apartment is in desperate need of an upgrade. Broken, unlockable bathroom and balcony doors, broken soap holders in both showers, only 5 dining chairs for 6 people. It also was not cleaned very well, needs a deep one! Little things, as in not enough glasses, no cutting knives, wardrobe doors that were broken, chunks of plaster off walls. It certainly was smaller than the pictures indicated! For the price I paid, it could have been much better!

• Jessica (1/5): The best part was leaving - Nothing Nothing in the place worked. The things that did work didn’t work well. The carpet was torn up. The taps leaked so bad in the shower that more water went out of the shower then in it causing my daughter to slip over. The sliding glass door was very stiff to open and when I jerked it open it didn’t have a stopper causing it to squash my hand. No a/c and the portable one provided was that loud we decided not run it. The lights that did work would hiss the whole time they were on. The tap to run the bath didn’t even turn on. Definitely would not stay here again.
• Kate Or Steven (10/5): Definitely Returning . - Seamless check in . With great communication and even better instructions with photos included for how to enter carpark etc . This was very impressive and extremely helpful ! The Apartment itself is in an Excellent Central Location - just a short walk to food / entertainment / pharmacy / beach / anything we needed . Another great bonus was that we were able to park both of our cars in the very spacious carpark without worrying about our new LandCruiser being so close to the car next to it we might come back to scratches - which seems to be a problem everywhere else we go . Big cars don’t fit into tiny car spaces ! Our 3bedroom apartment was huge and we had a great view of the slingshot and all the action Surfers Paradise has to offer . I’ve already rebooked for our son’s soccer tournament next year . We loved it :)
• Little (7/5): great stay but administratively frustrating - location was great, facilities were very good, apartment was spacious and clean. Overall a good experience it was frustrating with the wifi did not work and the stove did not work. We were given the wrong wifi codes and it took 24 hours to rectify. The stovetop was an induction and there was no manual. After multiple terse texts and emails and a set of new saucepans, a google search of the induction stovetop manual we figured out the stovetop was locked and how to unlock it. This process too most of the stay and the stove was unusable for the stay. Their QR code manual should address this as not everyone is familiar with induction cooktops.

• samir (9/5): Belle découverte et bon emplacement - Le type d’appartement, le confort, la vue océan, le matériel lave linge et sèche linge L’étage élevé , la propriété Le checkin qui n’est pas adapté au heure tardive, checkin de 14h à 17h c’est pas normal Trop compliqué de rentrer en contacte avec un membre du personnel Les instructions d’arriver tardive ne sont pas respectées par rapport aux échanges que j’ai eu par mail avec l’équipe de l’établissement avant notre séjour Pas assez d’ustensiles de cuisine ( passoire, économe, saladier, plat divers, )

• Aimee (9/5): Would stay again just not on the couch - Great location the master room bed was very comfortable. Great to have washer/drier. The couch that was supposed to be the sofa bed for our son was awful, like sleeping and sitting on a brick. The bathroom wasn’t overly clean and there wasn’t enough cups nor towels for all 5 of us staying there. And the oven setting have been rubbed off so couldn’t use it correctly
