- Louis (10/5): - This was a wonderful surprise for my wife and I. We arrived a bit early and were welcomed so greatly. This is a small restaurant hotel perfectly situated in the middle of the Mycenae région. We could literally walk to the Mycenae site and the surroundings were simply charming. The food at breakfast and dinner was simply sublime and the staff very pleasant and helpful. The owners were there all day, making sure all was well for the patrons. Do not hesitate... This is a place you will remember ! I would 6 stars....

- Familiaturner (10/5): A special place! - Unique, beautiful Inn. We were welcomed warmly by staff and treated like royalty the whole time. Only one km. up the hill to the archeological site. VERY reasonable. Excellent breakfast, worth the small surcharge. Free, easy parking. Cute, sleepy town. The tomb of Atreeus was a highlight of our two-week Greek trip. Old world hospitality at La Petite Planete. The young man at reception recommended we go over to the Mycenes site in the evening, since it closes at 8 PM during high season. We went at 6 PM and it was magical! We had the whole site basically to ourselves, it was cool and breezy and just lovely. We want to say "thank you" to the amazing staff at La Petite Planete, expecially the tri-lingual young lady who brought us pancakes at breakfast. I'm sorry I didn't get her name but she is a gem!!

- John186349 (10/5): A very special place - My wife and I stayed here for five nights. It was the last and best hotel we visited during a tour of the Peloponnese. It is an interesting and attractive building with a wonderful view across the Argos plain to the mountains beyond. The room was very comfortable and everything was cleaned well daily. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The family members who run the hotel are exceptionally hospitable. The food was the best we tasted throughout our trip. Unfortunately my wife had fallen ill at the previous hotel and had been instructed to eat a very restricted diet. So for the first four days at Mykenes our wonderful hosts cooked her a special meal in the evening. She recovered as a result and was fit to fly home. We were both sad to leave and hope we will return as soon as possible.

It is quaint and luxurious at the same time, eco-conscious, warm and inviting with creative decor. The hosts are lovely and welcoming and offered helpful information about sites in the area. The food was superb. We only wish our driving tour timetable permitted us to stay longer!

- PatS155 (10/5): Fantastic - This place is amazing. It’s an older estate built and run to this day by a family. It’s spacious with rooms and decks to relax in. The deck, where meals are served, has an amazing view. Optional dinner which is delicious. The rooms are fine with a small balcony and all the std features. What makes the property however is its manager who will attend to your needs and wants, and become a family friend. Many repeat visitors.

Excellent location, great views,very close to the archaeological site. Super pet friendly and absolutely wonderful food. I would visit again for the pork with prunes alone.

Une hôtesse qui parle couramment français et anglais. L’hôtel propose un dîner composé de plats locaux et authentiques délicieux. Le petit déjeuner est très varié, tout est fait maison avec de nombreuses confitures, des gâteaux, plusieurs pain, des fruits et des œufs dans toutes les confessions possibles sur le fait sur le moment. C’est un hôtel idéal pour visiter les ruines archéologique de Mycines. L’hôtel est le dernier sur la route a environ 1 km des sites archéologiques.

The service was outstanding, Greek cuisine at its best in regards to both the 3 course dinner and the breakfast buffet. The view from the terrace was breathtaking and the owners two dogs were such cuties! Highly recommended if you are traveling around Peloponnese!
- onesto_jago_78 (10/5): The place to stay! - The Hotel is nice, cozy and very close to the archaeological site. The pool was a refreshing gift in a hot summer day. But the real plus of the hotel is the amazing and warm service gave by the owners and the staff. They are kind, funny, and eager to help. We also have dinner and breakfast there. Both meals were incredibly tasty, with plenty of homemade products (jam, marmalade, etc.). Strongly, strongly recommended!

The property is within walking distance of the great city of Mycenae. Our windows looked over the Plain of Argos down to the sea. An extraordinary privilege to have been able to stay in such a place with lovely and most knowledgeable hosts. We cannot recommend more highly.

- DDJRobert (10/5): Nice place feels like a family with 5-star service - My husband and I spent 7 nights at La Petite Planete with a group of 12-15 friends. We had absolutely wonderful time! The hotel has a very warm family feeling, Vassiliki and her small team are super nice, very attentive and go above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are simple, nice and clean, has all the basics. Though it doesn't have coffee maker and microwave, but who needs that when you can just ask for a cup of Greek coffee from the kitchen downstairs and go into the orchard to pick a nice juicy orange. The breakfasts are supper with local breads, homemade marmalade, local honey, orange juice, eggs and more. When booked, the dinners are served with local produces, home cooking and warm smiles. There is big nice sunny deck for relaxation, exercises and socializing. Lots of attractions are within one hour drive distance, the Archaeological site of Mykines is just 15 minutes walk from the hotel. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back again sometime in the near future.

It’s run by truly hospitable people who know the local area well and are happy to share it with guests. I’d come back again, for sure, not least because there’s so much to explore around here beyond the ruins of Mycenae itself. The smaller, lesser-known sites are just as compelling, and this hotel is the perfect base from which to see them, and to experience the rich history of the area. It’s the real Greece!

- Fred (10/5): - Petite Planete is exceptional—I seldom review and typically do so only for properties that are 5 . I can't imagine why anyone visiting Mycenae wouldn’t stay at Petite Planete, the only hotel close to the old citadel. It is a 2-minute drive to the citadel and a 1-minute drive (5-minute walk) to a small town below, with several tavernas. I believe all rooms have balconies and the views are stunning. The breakfasts are equally stunning: the best served breakfasts I have ever experienced. I spent over two weeks in Greece, eating in a lot of restaurants in a lot of places, and the in-house dinners were by far the best I experienced, though if you are staying for a few days you’ll probably want to try one of the local tavernas. On top of all this, the people, the friendliness, and the service are beyond excellent!
- Kory (10/5): An Oasis of comfort on ancient ground - A family owned and operated business, hosts Vasiliki and Grigoris are absolutely as warm and generous as anyone I've met while traveling. The entire staff is supportive, kind, and professional, helping everyone feel cared for. The property has everything one could need, with a grand terrace, swimming pool, excellent dining, comfortable rooms, and a cast of friendly cats and dogs who call the place home and who make it even more of an inviting place to stay. An incredible location to visit many of the area's historic sites, as close to ancient Mycenae as you can stay. Vasiliki has deep family ties to the archeological history and discoveries of Mycenae, a very valuable resource for anyone interested in this fascinating and very ancient place. Petit Planete is certainly among my favorite hotels in a life of travel, do yourself a favor and book this hotel when visiting this area.

On my last morning, I was surprised with a wonderful breakfast! It’s also a perfect “base camp” for the area. It’s so close to so many great places. Mycenae, Corinth, Nemea, Epidaurus, Nafplio, Tyrins and Argos are all close by.

If you ever read Le Petit Prince you’ll understand the origin of the name of the hotel.

- Thomas (10/5): Heartfelt service, quiet location, close to ruins - Real Gem! The service really made this hotel stand out. This was our first trip to Greece. We were met by the owner upon arrival. I was suffering from a massive headache from the long travel day and the hassle at the airport due to missing luggage. The owner was kind enough to bring me ice for my head and a cup of tea to help me relax. We slept in late past the breakfast buffet time, but the owner offered to scrape up a few things for us and make us some eggs.She offered suggestions on where to pick up things until our luggage was found. The following day we had a lovely breakfast and some very helpful instructions on visiting ancient Mycenae which is just up the road. The room itself was very nice with a small balcony that looked out at the hills. The hotel has a very home like feel to it, not like some stale hotels. Lots of character. The hotel is a little out of the way, but in a quiet area that really lets you relax. It is a short drive into Argos should you want to shop or see additional sites. The short drive up the hill to see the ancient Mycenae complete is a must, and their are other sites to see a little farther out. We were originally going to stay in Corinth, but it was hard to find anything that appealed to me. You can still visit Corinth from here. The kindness shown to us was incredible and made a great first impression of Greece. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip.
- Richard (8/5): Lovely stay - We had a lovely stay , the hotel was basic but clean with a simple but adequate breakfast. Fantastic views and very tranquil , staff were really friendly, very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. Owners were animal lovers with plenty of cats and dogs around, great if you're an animal lover too. Pool looks good and ideal in the heat of the summer . Would definitely stay again.
- Constance (10/5): Lovely get-away! - Mrs. Dassi was an amazing host, sharing info about local attractions and offering us ouzo at the end of our long day! She was so warm and welcoming! The one thing to know about our accommodations, at least, is that it had a tub and hand sprayer, but no actual shower. But it was a lovely get-away overall!
