Beds were very comfortable I was disappointed that there was no cutlery, kettle or dishes. Even bare minimum would have been nice but the ladies were very accommodating. I should have probably looked a little closer when I booked

- Eric (9/5): - The only downside is the TV mounted on the wall in the neighboring room so when it was on the sound came straight through the wall. Modern TVs have the speakers on the back so having it on a shared wall is not a great idea. Luckily, we only had one night Where the people stayed up and watch TV. Other than that we loved everything about the place.

- Mark85537 (10/5): Two adults with two large dogs - Stayed in the waterside cottage at Friar's Bay Inn with two dogs. Clean, with most everything you might need for a stay on the Island. Located on the water, lovely waterfront view, great sunsets/sunrises, near the pharmacy, small supermarket, and basically next door to Porch restaurant. Very friendly helpful owners. Recommend the waterside cottage at Friar's Bay Inn, especially if you have one or two dogs.

- Lisa (9/5): Friars Bay Inn was a high point on our trip. Perfect location to explore Campobello Island. - We truly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely go back. This is a “value” hotel but the rooms are very comfortable. The bed was so comfortable, the bed linens were soft with a lovely warm comforter, the room was well appointed and nicely decorated. Parking was easy and close to the room. View was beautiful and the place was quiet and easy to get to. Lovely spot. No complaints about this lovely place. I would recommend it for people who just want a nice, clean, quiet, and peaceful space to stay.
- Michael (10/5): Overall, I was very pleased with this motel. It was much nicer than I thought it was going to be. The host was very frie - While it appears to be an older style motel on the outside, it is a very modern, clean and updated on the inside. It's set up for a longer-term stay with a microwave, coffee maker and a small fridge with a counter set up in one part of the room. The Bed was very comfortable. Good TV service good location on Campobello Island. The parking is not too far from the room. Heating system worked well. Parking can be a bit far if you are st the far end of the Motel.

We were unable to use our booking and thus lost our payment due to the timing of our reservation. Not anyone’s direct fault but would have been nice to know this when planning this trip.
- Beane (10/5): Great place to visit - The property is across the street from the water. there were chairs outside to watch the beautiful sunset. It's just down the street from the Roosevelt home too. The staff told us about a great place to eat on the golf course.

- Faith (8/5): Comfortable Stay With A View - The room was updated and it was nice having the extra counter space in the refrigerator and microwave area. The bed was very comfortable and the bed linens were such a nice quality, so soft. Outside the room were some Adirondack chairs and a table. Many of the guests watched sunset from this area. There is a very nice view of the bay. Breakfast is not included with this stay. There is a restaurant near by that was open from 8:00AM-2:00PM. Plan ahead for dinner as there are only a couple of restaurants in this area and many close down early or entirely depending on the time of year.

The sign says 1.2 km) Convenient restaurant for breakfast next door. Within a short drive of the FDR cottage and all the hiking/driving trails.

- Amélie (9/5): Super séjour en nature - Magnifique emplacement sur le bord de l’eau. Dame à l’accueil très gentille et accommodante. Chambre bien aménagée et très propre. Jeu de poches à l’extérieur, très apprécié des enfants et tables de pique-nique pour manger à l’extérieur. Un des 2 matelas était un peu moins confortable, mais nous avons quand même bien dormi.
- Stephen (6/5): Old, small but very clean - Location The extension cord that provided power to my side of the bed was defective. Power went off to my sleep machine at 1:00AM. This can be fatal with the type of Apnea I have. I wasn’t a happy camper.
- Loretta (10/5): We are hoping to go back again next summer. The Island seems like a hidden treasure. - The pictures on the website don't accurately depict how close you are to the water. The motel is in two sections - one inland part with several rooms and a separate cottage, and the one we had which was across the street and had 2/3 studio type rooms. Everything was exceptionally clean and attractive. The bathroom was quite large with a great shower. The deck was just right and it was very quiet. The only thing we struggled with were the beds which were a bit lumpy. But we will be back ! We really enjoyed our stay. Like I said - the mattresses could use an upgrade. And they need to put the smoke detector back up. Otherwise . . . .

- Gail (9/5): Excellant - This is our second stay at Friar's and we liked the quiet location right on the water, very clean, and enjoyed the kitchen facilities as we bring our own food. You have to go outside and walk around the cottage to enjoy the porch. Wish there was a slider door from inside the cottage.

The feel was a throwback to 60 years ago, but with modern upgrades like coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. The staff was great. There was not a comfortable place to sit. It was raining when we arrived, and there was no mat to wipe our shoes, so when we took them off at the door, we left puddles and dirt on the floor.
