Patrick (10/5): - The Ark Beach Hotel is beautiful and peaceful, with a gorgeous pool surrounded olive trees, a lovely beach, and stunning views. The breakfast buffet was great. What a find! But there’s more…the level of caring and kindness when we arrived after midnight due to a flight delay was amazing. We were welcomed so warmly, invited to stay past checkout while waiting for lost bags, and allowed to enjoy the beautiful pool and property which made Is (almost) forget the rough travel and lost bags and get our vacation off to a great new start. Couldn’t recommend this place more—THANK YOUArk Beach Hotel!

Cheryl (10/5): - We had a lovely family vacation staying in the Squirrel apartment. Our eight and twelve year-old kids enjoyed the pool and walkability to a lovely little beach and town. The owners of the hotel were very kind and friendly, making us feel right at home. The apartment itself had all the essentials, it wasn't fancy but it was absolutely lovely. It was very clean, modern and had an amazing view. It was plenty of room for the four of us and we enjoyed our time here. We will most certainly be back!

Muuten kaikki sujui todella hienosti. Henkilökunta (perheyritys) erityisen ystävällistä. Huone tosi siisti ja rauhallinen. Aamupala runsas ja tyylikkäästi katettu kattoterassin ravintolaan, josta upeat näköalat merelle. Uima-allasalue todella kiva ja siisti. Vain lyhyt portaikko alas rinnettä alueen parhaimmalle uimarannalle. Monipuolinen ja hyvä ravintola lähietäisyydellä. Matka Uberilla Splitin keskustaan maksoi reilun 10 euroa.

The boss invited us to his table with our giret breakfast. So Cool and interesting speak about the country and this place. His younger daughter had a big smile and fuel control at the kitchen and serving every morning. Clean, stylish and alles in ordnung 🎵☺️ The eler daughter and his wife served our rooms and everything perfect. We never seen something like this 👆🏾 Thank you to the best hostes ever. Solveig (10/5): Fantastiskt lägenhetshotell vid utkanten av Split - Supertrevligt familjeägt lägenhetshotell. Fanns både pool och möjlighet att nå en fin klapperstrand via trappor med klart vatten. Härlig frukost på morgonen med fantastisk utsikt. Mycket serviceminded personal. Nära till centrala byn för restauranger men också nära till centrala Split m bil eller buss.

Clean, cozy and without comparison some of the best hotel we have stayed in for many years. The family that owns the hotel is extremely customer minded and makes sure that you as a guest get the perfect stay in Split. We can definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and it is definitely not the last time we have stayed at the Ark Beach Hotel - Thanks for the perfect stay, we will be back:).

Verified traveler (8/5): - De entree was onoverzichtelijk. He waren al 2 x voorbij gereden. De appartementen zijn mooi. Compleet ingericht. Balkon met zeezicht! Behalve een koffiezetaparaat of waterkoker. En dat is vreemd in een appartement. Het ontbijt is prima. Lekker buiten zitten met zicht op t water. Vriendelijke mensen. Buiten verschillende zitjes in leuke hoekjes. Geen lift dus niet toegankelijk voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn.
Verified traveler (4/5): Not as advertised. - We were quite disappointed with this property because it advertised amenities and services that it did not provide. It advertised a rooftop terrace with a beautiful view but we only had access during breakfast 8-10a, and bar hours 7-10p. Advertised king size bed was two twins, which is not unusual but most advertise king or twin when this is the option. There were dirty towels hanging on the back of the bathroom door when we arrived. There were no toiletries. Advertised daily cleaning service didn’t happen. Someone came in the first morning after we arrived to change towels never to return. It advertised 24 hour front desk service and we never once saw anyone at the front desk. Finding someone for assistance was difficult outside breakfast hours. The property was not very well maintained. The private beach, which was the only reason we chose this hotel so far outside the city center, was not what we expected from the photos, small with more difficult access to the water. TV reception was iffy. Overall, the hotel we were looking the most forward to staying at during our vacation in Croatia was our least favorite. Save your money on Uber/taxis and stay within walking distance of the City Center.

Verified traveler (2/5): Vacation from Hell - It was aweful, plain and simple. We paid $270 for one night, and as any sain person we expected luxury for that amount. Instead we were placed in a basement room, which was advertised as parking view and had a balcony/terrace. In reality, our windows were looking directly onto the parking concrete, and we could only see up to peoples' calves. The room was depressing, we couldn't open the window or the blinds, because other people could look directly into our room. Even with the blinds pulled down, you could see behind them once you laid down on the bed. So while we were sleeping others could look directly at us, pass the blinds. It got very humid when it rained and we could not open the window because water would leek into the room. And within 15 minutes after it rained, the room stank of mold. The bathroom had a tiny bath tub, in which you could not even sit, and when you were standing in it the metal/plastic kept bouncing and creaking. Thd water pressure was terrible as well, I could have had a better shower outside in the rain. They don't serve coffee in the restaurant past noon, nor do they offer any food past 10am. The hotel advertised that they were on the beach, while yes they are nearby the sea and they have a lovely view of it from the restaurant, in order to get to the beach you have to walk down a cliff, down very steep steps and trough the woods to get to it for about 500 feet.
Verified traveler (8/5): Good stay, comfortable, check the photos closely - I was a bit disappointed by this hotel, mainly because the photos really make it seem like more of a beach hotel and a nicer pool area. It’s tons of stairs to the beach and the lower level rooms only have peak views of the water through the trees. The rooftop deck is amazing though and breakfast had good options. The pillows were not very comfortable and the shower had mold in it. That needs to have the caulking stripped and redone. It’s a short ride into the city and we had no problems getting an Uber within a few minutes to take us where we needed. The hosts were very friendly and other than the initial disappointment of the view and pool area it was a wonderful stay. They stock the fridge with beer/wine/cider you can purchase and enjoy on your patio or deck. We didn’t do the evening drinks on the rooftop but I’m sure that would be very nice as well. Overall a good stay, just be aware the photos are a little deceiving. (We stayed in the octopus room, for reference about the moldy shower).

Sandra (2/5): Avoid this place. It is very poor value - We had booked a room with kitchen and refrigerator and coffee and tea maker and with sea view terrace. What we got did not have any of those things and our terrace was a shared piece of land so imagine if the neighbours had been smokers! We were charged for the above so after the first night decided to move to another hotel but the owners refused to accept our protest and charged us for the second night. We contacted Expedia who told us to contact Hotels.com who I they own but since we have no way of e mailing them to bring this to their notice, we have left this report. DO NOT GO THERE. YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF. We will not be using Hotels.com again.
Graham (2/5): - This property misdescribed a small bedroom in the basement as a self catering appartment with lounge, kitchen etc. The management refused on numerous occasions to move us to an apartment. Truely awfull here, do not go.

Jennifer (10/5): Ark Beach Hotel - We had a one night layover in Split before heading out to Vis by ferry, and the Ark Beach Hotel was a perfect fit for us. Free parking on site, so there was no hassle dealing with parking downtown Split, and the hotel is just a short walk from the #25 bus that goes right downtown. The room was very spacious and comfortable, Wi-Fi worked great, and there was a lovely patio and pool area. We really enjoyed the breakfast, which is served on the top floor terrace, overlooking the Adriatic with a phenomenal view. The real stand out of this hotel though is the lovely family that manages it; they were so welcoming and helpful! We hope to return and stay for several nights on our next trip!
Trinh (8/5): - Amazing stay at Ark. Very hospitable hosts where nothing is too much trouble and always there to help. Super clean on arrival. Great location away from Split old town. Lots of restaurants in walking distance, great beach. Sunsets to die for on the beach - would definitely come back. Definitely need an upgrade in towels but that’s my only small advice.

Evelyn (10/5): Convenient and comfortable. - We found the apartments clean, comfortable and well appointed in a great position. The views from our rooms and the breakfast terrace were spectacular. Our host and his family were extremely welcoming and helpful. The pool was great and the beach very close, albeit down (and up) a steep set of steps. There were lots of nice touches - library of books, shampoo by the poolside shower which had both hot or cold water. We had a lovely week, helped by some great suggestions for day trips.
