Guest Reviews
- Alliance2011 (10/5): Wonderful Place - I am solo traveling from Nepal. This is really perfect place to stay who solo traveling in Singapore. I really enjoy to stay this Wanderloft Capsule Hostel, they are very friendly, helpful information where you want to go, infront of door bus stop, 5 to 7 minutes few MRT station where you want to travel, 50 meters away from hostel 24 hours opening restaurant, if you like to night live music around riverside. 25 to 30 minutes if you don't mind to walk from Hostel to Garden by the Bay, from the Changi International Airport you can take MRT safe your 30 to 35 box SGD Dollar. Drinking mine water & can juice they selling cheaper than 7 Eleven.
- Happiness13732349484 (2/5): The worst hostel i visited in my life!!!!! - Do yourself a favor and don't !!!!!! D.o.n.t. Go to this hostel. A hostel with the worst customer realtion i experience in my life! The manager was so rude to me and kick me out while i was sleeping after a night of flights withour sleep. I press charges aginst her in the turist police and they will investgte her. She does not know how to traet guests and turists.
In addition, the place is filthy and dirty with negative energies.really bad vide. Save yourself and your trip and go to another place. There are a lot of better hostels than it, I promise you.
And i also promuse ill write a complain to the ministry of turisem regarding this place and manager. I promise!
- mnazimm (8/5): My pleasure staying in Wanderloft - Spending 5d/4n in this capsule hotel. I love the location of the hotel very close to attractive places. If you want night life it's just a walking distance to Boat Quay and Clarke Quay.
Near MRT station Clarke Quay and Raffles Place. Variety of good restaurant is also within the radius of the hotel.
- Global39850623516 (2/5): Worst Hostel in Singapore - was a long term tenant there for few months because of company arrangement else will leave on the very first day
Unprofessional and rude receptionist by the name of Tini whom act like a lady boss, worse attitude and should go for customer service course by skill future. Don’t know how the Boss select her but may be because her educational level can only work as a receptionist but not happy about it every day.
me & my friend were told by her she will chase us out if not up to her “standards” as if we are not paying guests. However, the bedsheets were never changed room never clean during our stay and toilets and common area are filthy. (see photos attached)
she is always in the midst to find ways to charge her tenants extra service fee.
For tourists – if you want to ruin your holidays you may book to experience her service. As a word of advice even F1 period try to avoid this hostel at all cost!!
For long term guests – just look for other hostels at Chinatown area.
- 281yvonnef (6/5): The hostel was OK - Location is good, not far from the subway station, a convenience store just downstairs is a great plus. Hostel is not as clean and comfortable as mentioned in the reviews, it is a good choice for travelers with limited budget.
- Relax10171242068 (10/5): Great place to crash at limited expense - As a capsule hotel, this is excellent in its class
1. Great bedding
2. Great construction of the bunks & decent curtain - so no creaking when someone climbs up & it's easy for the one climbing up
3. Good cooling in the rooms which reaches the bunks well
4. Clean bathrooms
5. Big storage lockers
6. Accessible day & night, but the dorms are quiet in the night - people are very respectful of that, which is not everywhere the case
There are clear signs all over the hostel indicating how to behave, what to do, what to pay attention to etc. Really helps with point 6, I think.
- andrewbO6182OO (10/5): Will be back! - Staff is friendly and accommodating for late arrivals if need be. Space is clean and well kept. Located in a great area with many food options. I enjoyed my two nights here more than I did in the hotel I stayed in for one night but paid double for. Will definitely book here again when I return to Singapore!
- l_ab772 (8/5): Great but not good for light sleepers - Good location clean space, my only big problem is the noise from others. Light sleepers, avoid ! Of course when you book a capsule you know you will have to deal with others, but I didn’t expect my neighbors to came back at 2 am eating chips and speaking out loud in the middle of the corridor, neither the other one who like to take all of his calls and answering loudly at midnight or 9am. Please consider others when booking in capsules and keep your noise outside of the bedrooms !
- Daydream09844556121 (10/5): Great overall stay at the hostel - I had a stressful start to my trip after the airline lost my suitcase and I turned up to the hostel realising I booked it for the wrong dates. The staff at the hostel were accommodating and amazingly helpful in relieving my stress and were able to find space for me. Big shout out to Tini and Rachel for their friendliness and attentivness to caring for customers, you guys made my stay in Singapore :)
- justadvisingyou (6/5): Let down - The capsules and facilities are run down and do not look nearly as nice as the pictures will have you believe. There is also construction happening in the area so I would not recommend for light sleepers. Good location and service though.
- Tour795449 (8/5): Good counter customer service and nice location to explore surrounding areas - Location- boat quay, nice play to staying, easy for u to discover surrounding areas like chinatown, clark quay, bugis, city hall, rafflecity
Counter service - super good and excellent service, made ppl felt warm and appreciated to his friendly attitude.
Toilets are clean.
- gursartaj (8/5): Clean capsule hotel in a nice location - Stayed here for almost a week. Chose it based on the location, it is right next to boat quay. Good for backpackers, but don't expect bells and whistles. Surrounded by lots of nice places to eat and drink and you can explore central areas on foot.
The bathrooms were extremely clean.
Not enough storage space if you have luggage - and people had basically left their suitcases in the corners.
- dylantdl96 (6/5): Good for solo travellers BUT quiet hours not enforced - Checking-in and checking-out was easy. Location was near Clarke Quay MRT station, Boat Quay, and if you walk further down you are able to reach Raffles Place and Chinatown. Bathroom and capsules were average. Would recommend to stay for a couple of nights but not for several days or weeks. The only complaint that I have is the noise made by other travelers staying there. There was a family staying there throughout my stay there and they did not respect the quiet hours. Some even talked over the phone for almost an hour. Would suggest to provide ear plugs or bring your own.
- Jessica (8/5): Pack light theres no elevators - Well to start off with there are pictures on the site that does not exist. There are so many stairs, no elevator in sight and no one assists you with luggage. There is only 3 showers no dressing rooms be comfortable with getting dress infront of people. The lady at the front deak was nice at first but then her attitude changed around my last day there. The. Leaning lady also quit and went back to Indonesia where she is from she said she worked too hard for them and resulted in her becoming sick. I probably would never stay there again but okay i guess
- 562jes (4/5): Party central and basic - Oil and he really said replace a clean place with washing possibility.
More of a backpacker place.okay for some nights but not for several weeks- no possibility to lick big suitcases- only little things. Keep that in mind when you book!
No breakfast possibility- but a Starbucks close by
(Not that cheap....)
And you not leave anything on the floor when you’re sleeping in that hostel - things are removed- put into the washing room :-p
- Jose (10/5): Thank you!! - Excelente!
- Sai Hoo (2/5): Bad check-in service - I did a mistake for not communicating with the hotel that I will be late checking because I thought it works as a normal hotel where a 24-hrs reception is part of the service. When I reached the hotel, I can see my name on a piece of paper stick on the door that my bed is reserved, however, the door is locked and the door pass code was not sent to me at all. All I need was the door passcode for me to enter the property, and since the bed was reserved for me, I dont know why the operator cannot just send me the code. I was there in 5am morning with my luggage. I called the phone number given in the booking form, as well as the numbers stated in the door, but nobody picked up the call.
- benmP7563SJ (6/5): Not bad! - I stayed here for 2 nights in September for a brief work trip. My budget was limited so I chose to stay in a capsule instead of a hotel after great experiences in Japan using capsule hotels.
Wanderloft capsule Hotel wasn’t bad at all for a cheaper option in expensive Singapore. Bathrooms and capsules are basic, but clean and practical. It offers more privacy then a hostel, but is quite similar.
The location was fantastic, right in boat quay. So lots of places to eat and drink close by and even Chinatown is only 10 minutes walk alway.
Cheers,
Ben
- NizamMasood (8/5): Excellent Stay for 3 Days - Location : Strategically located in the heart of Singapore. It is very near to the MRT station of Clarke Quay. Since Singapore is easily explored by MRT, I daresay I picked the right hostel to bring my friends. It is also within walking distance to Chinatown, Boat Quay and Raffles Place.
Reception : The reception area is super small and can only fit, say, 4 person with a big luggage. There are also no common area like other hostels. The check in process is very quick and smooth. Wifi is very fast. The lady is also very kind.
Bed and Room : Since it is a hostel (and I stayed in more than a dozen hostels before), I dont expect the room to be big. This hostel room has just about the right size. The room is not too small, people can walk and there are empty spaces to put out stuffs on the floor. The AC works well and it is never turned off, so I know I will be cold once I am back in the room. The bed is capsule type and fit me well. It might be challenging for tall people to fit because I am 1.8m and my sole is hanging outside my cubicle.
Bathroom : The bathrooms are located at the other end of the room. Very clean and hot water works well.
Recommendations: None.
Satisfaction: Yes. I would totally recommend this to other backpackers.
- tobyj496 (10/5): I have no regrets chosing to stay at this hostel. - The hostel location is perfect, it's a five minute walk away from the CBD. The bus stop is right outside the entrance or you could walk for five minutes to City hall or Chinatown train station either direction. The hostel is always quiet, bathroom amenities very clean, wifi is fast and free, the staff are always around and willing to help with information, 711 shop just next door, Singapore river boat quay shops and restaurants is around the next block (known for nightlife) and the beds are comfy. The pods have curtains so you have your own privacy + each have their own power outlet and interior lights. Coffee and tea are also free. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would consider staying there on my next visit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The beds were really comfortable and the staff was really nice (especially the lady in the mornings who prepared the bed). The location was great and easy to walk to clarke quay station. I would stay again.
- rgrellin (8/5): Clean Place - Its a bit hard to find the place when using google map. Facility was clean and beds are spacious with curtains that adds privacy. Just a little bit noisy coz the reception is very near the beds. I can clearly hear the laughs and chitchats in the reception area
- rodrigo2u (10/5): “A positive surprise” - Hostel very central and well located. It has good options for espresso coffee and ice cream (Dopa Dopa ice cream shop), market / convenience store 24/7 (7 Eleven), SPA with great massages, several restaurants with good price to enjoy typical food.
A short stroll from the China Town district, the financial capital, the Singapore River where you can take boat trips, and dazzle the view of the Singapore River with the financial capital's towers as a backdrop.
Right next to the Raffles City Mall which I highly recommend.
In addition to the Suntec City Mall where it is point of departure for booking a beautiful sightseeing city tour.
The Hostel has some nice capsules with privacy.
Excellent clean and with good air conditioning temperature.
The staff is very welcoming and friendly, Congratulations to Shanti for your effort and efficiency. Also the Rithuan, available, welcoming, with excellent level of English and a gentleman.
Extremely clean restroom service, with amenities, hot water and good shower.
Coffee available, good refrigerator, kettle, washing machine and tumble dryer.
When the hostel is full the 3 bathrooms may be busy at peak times for some time.
The only detail I recommend is to put half a dozen dishes and cutlery, because it is always useful to eat for example a piece of fruit, some cereals, ...
Excellent choice for anyone who wants to stay for some time in Singapore and save on accommodation.
- Venture539519 (8/5): Great concept and location but only 3 bathrooms. - The capsules are great for privacy although there are about 10 beds and it is co-ed. Still very private compared to regular dorm rooms. Great location near MRT and bus stop. The main negative are the bathrooms, the shower is in with the toilet and there are only 3 bathrooms. Also no shoes allowed so bring slippers or extra socks to walk around. Also the reception is not always open, she comes in late and leaves early. You will need a pass code to enter so get one before arrival if coming late.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good stay! - The staying in Zen was good for the price! It was clean and the location is good.
Most negative- you can feel every feather in the bed.
Most positive- the host is very helpful!
- Changhan (10/5): SATISFACTORY: Good location with good facilities - Overall it was satisfactory staying for four nights at Wanderloft Capsule Hostel. The capsules are quite cozy, having extra storerooms for putting valuables & electric outlets. But the sound-proof equipments should be installed for the better stay. Toilets are being kept clean but needs to be more toilets with better hygienic. 5 min walk to Clarke quay station, 1 min walk to bus station which was easily accessible. It was worth of paying at the reasonable price, keeping my privacy staying in the hostel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad service, negative star if possible, weak Wifi. - Extremely bad service, no one at reception when we arrived and calls were not picked up. Also, they specifically said, "You're staying only one night right? We don't accept Singaporeans." And when we asked why, they said, "It's our policy." Wow so unwelcome and no apologies for making us wait for half an hour for someone to appear. No breakfast at this place as well unlike their claims on their website. Location great, bed okay, WiFi weak especially in room, perhaps cause my bed was further in. For the same price, I'd choose other capsule hostels like Met A Space Pod.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice! - The location is super central within walking distance of the bayfron and super close to MRT. The place feelt very new and clean. The staff were very nice and helpfull. It depends on what kind of travel you want, but I absolutely loved this place with my own capsul and a place to lock away my bag under the bed. Will absolutely stay here again - if there is room!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location. A bit cramped - There are more than 25 beds but only 3 bathrooms, so people are often queuing up. There is often no one at the reception. They dont make your bed everyday once you have checked in
- Verified traveler (6/5): A cheap hostel - The place is not bad and the staff are friendly. However, some facilities was running out, example: soap, shampoo and toilet paper.
