In addition, we could clearly hear a mouse inside the wall. Although we never actually saw it, the noise was very loud and disturbing, especially at night. This situation raised serious concerns about maintenance and we did not feel comfortable during our stay. We informed a staff member about the issue, but unfortunately there was no reaction

If you don't mind rooms without windows, you'll be fine (or you might get the rooms with window) Cleaning products used in lobby area give an off-putting smell that lingers for a while. Coffee tea at breakfast needed reheating but staff happy to do that when prompted

• Omer Faik (1/5): I had booked a room for three nights. My flight to Hanoi arrived in the late afternoon, so I checked into the hotel that - There’s nothing about the property that I like. The room was dirty — everything was covered in dust and grime. The bathroom was in poor condition, and there were stains on the bed sheets. There was no hot water, and the noise from outside was unbelievable. They claim that breakfast is included, but it’s extremely limited — definitely not a buffet. There were only one or two kinds of fruit and some cucumbers, plus cold coffee. The staff were indifferent and unhelpful. On top of that, there was a strong mold smell in the elevator and hallways. The hotel is simply not suitable for staying.

Emanava un odore super sgradevole, chissà cosa abbiamo respirato per 3 giorni. Volevamo spostarci ma sfortunatamente avevano tante valige e io avevo un ginocchio infortunato. Nella doccia era pieno di capelli e le ultime colazioni ci hanno servito un "pancake", tra virgolette perché era pastella cruda.

The restaurant for the breakfast was not as what we expected basing it on the pictures in booking.com The toiletries was not replenished. The free coffee in the room was not replenished.on time. The room.has no view .

Amazing staff, efficient housekeeping services. They offer good tour packages at affordable price. The only thing i can think of is that the variation in breakfast options could be improved. After a week, i was a bit bored with the same menu each morning. The food is tasty, though.

Not much surface space in the bathroom to put things down on (e.g. Toiletry bag etc) just two racks to hang things.

• Heidi (6/5): Okay for a short stay - The staff was really friendly and accomodating, the fruits at breakfast were amaizing and the location could not be more convinient. We stayed in the Superior double room on the first floor next to the elevator for two nights. The room was very humid the entire stay and the old dehumidifier was working ovetime. The room didn’t have a window which we knew beforehand, so it was expected. However the humidity wasn’t. Also there were some stains in the bedding but it wasn’t too bad for the price. Don’t know if this is an issue for this one specific room though. Anyways, it’s ok for a short stay if you don’t mind having moist bedding and a humid room where nothing dries.

If you check photos you will realize that its all photoshopped, its not that clean and not new at all. Parallelly you can expect same performance from breakfast. Also they are not tour company but agency working with commission so you can find cheaper deals in town but their pricing is also fair. If you are lazy or dont want to waste time to seek cheaper tour you can book with them.

Breakfast is fine – you choose an option (e.g. omelette), fresh fruits also available, just to start the day. The staff was very friendly and helpful – they advised us on things to do and where to eat. They arranged us a private transfer for one day so we could go for a day trip out of the city. We could also leave our luggage in the hotel storage for our two-day trip to the Ha Long Bay. -

• Rain (10/5): A place in the heart of Hanoi - I must say that Lavender Boutique hotel was like a home for me since I was doing a solo trip and with the staff I met at the hotel, they made me feel like a part of them. First and foremost, I am so grateful to Mr. Hung for being like a guardian to me during my whole Vietnam trip. When I first booked my hotel in Hanoi, I troubled him with many questions about the trip packages and my stays. He was patient enough to reply to all my questions. I booked my Ha long bay trip and Ninh Binh package through him which was awesome. He took me around a few places and made sure I was safe. The staff at receptions were very kind and friendly. I can't thank Mr. Hung enough to make my Vietnam trip end so well and be hospitable every moment during my stay. The hotel was in the center and all the good locations were just around the corners. Definitely will come back again :)

The breakfast was fine, nothing special and a bit limited but was make fresh to order. Beyond that the hotel could use an overhaul. Room was tired and not very clean (especially the floors). Linens were in poor condition. Water in shower did not drain well, when we took a shower the water would overflow onto bathroom floor instead of down the drain.
• Clint (8/5): Happy in old city Hanoi. - Great staff, very courteous and helpful. Nothing, not 5 star but has everything you need to get a good stay. Old city Hanoi pretty chaotic but fun at the same time.
• Amber (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely lovely hotel to explore Hanoi. The staff goes above and beyond to help you plan your further journey and keeps in touch if you need any more assistance. Thanks to Mr Hung we have had a great three weeks travelling around the north of Vietnam. I would definitely recommend staying here. Rooms are also everything you need, soft bed and great breakfast. • Dj (1/5): Do Not Recommend! - Staff were very helpful, courteous and friendly. Location was terrible. Train tracks were right in front of the hotel. Every 20 minutes the train went by, the noise was so bad we had to switch rooms. The room also smelled like vomit. We paid for a superior room and the one we had to switch to was definetly not. The hotel including hallways, rooms, bathroom, shower was very dirty. Black mold in bathroom shower and behind sink. Base boards falling off the wall. Stains in the carpet in hallways. Our booking included breakfast which was very limited and not worth the extra price. Very disappointed. Would not recommend!

• Shripad (10/5): Excellent and superb stay - Great centre of city location with prime sightseeing monuments nearby. Clean and comfortable room. The manager was excellently co-operative. He guided us about sightseeing and hotel facilities nicely. Nil

• Stephen (7/5): Good - The cry cleaning service was brilliant. Clothes were folded on return, smelled nice and it was good value for money. The staff were very helpful too. Good location.
• Rlee123 (9/5): I initially booked for one night but ended up staying for three. - The staff's attitude was first class. Not only were they able to speak good English, they were extremely helpful and forthcoming with information about where to eat and what to do. I particularly appreciated the help by the owner of the hotel, a Mr. Hung, who was able to help me to arrange all my day and multi-day trips. These were done to suit my individual situation, as a single traveler and one who preferred doing rather than simply sight-seeing. Not only that, Mr. Hung was contactable anytime and indeed, resolved my issues immediately when needed. The room was basic but adequate for all my needs.

• Harriet (10/5): Stayed 3x here and great every time. 100% recommend - Staff were brilliant. Tuan and Hung particularly helpful with booking everything. We stayed three times - when we arrived, after ha long bay and after the ha giang loop. Each time was great Hung and the team were very helpful with booking the tours for us at a good price - we had the best time on the ha giang loop organised through lavender boutique. Beds very comfy, shower was great, breakfast was good
