• Sydney (4/5): Ummm - It’s just run down. It smells like old in the rooms. It was cheap but should’ve been cheaper just based on quality.
• Nathan (4/5): - Location was convenient for the purpose of my stay, but this place needs to be gutted. Turned the shower faucet on and brown water came out. Mold/mildew in the shower and curtain. The entire building smells like stale cigarettes and the rooms are out of an unsolved murder episode.
• Joel (8/5): - The overall price was great. The hotel had a horrible smoke smell in halls. No coffer available at all and no counter space in bathroom. No tissues and also no amenities at all. I would say our stay was good but overall the rooms need to cater more to their customers

• Stuart (2/5): - Wow where to begin. Wanted a place close to the water since we planned to stay and explore the areas near the docks. Walked in and walked out. Decided to not even stay. Even the "non smoking" rooms may have well of been smoking rooms. Ash stains and buns on the sheets the whole place was just gross. Felt like a place you'd pay by the hour. Unless you're a homeless smoker or sex worker I would stay elsewhere. Chalked it up as a loss on not researching better before just chosing somewhere that was geographically close to where we needed to be.

• MaryAnn (4/5): - The second floor room was ok. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Towels were average but there were no hand towels. The shower had only one setting and it was like a fire hose blasting water. The room was literally right on a busy highway and it was almost impossible to sleep. There was no elevator that we were aware of and the hallways were dimly lit and a little creepy.

• Becky (2/5): Priorities!! - They closed the pool on us. My son’s girlfriend got a splinter on the railing, the water from the shower was brown. It did clear up. Mold in showed & ice machine!! If you’re a couple of kids or tight budget. Go for it. Otherwise go elsewhere.
• Matthew (10/5): - It's a dated seaside motorlodge and the cheapest option in the area so keep that in mind. We had a good stay, the front desk guy was pleasant, the room was big and clean, the bed was pretty comfy, it was close to everything in Belmar and a quick trip to Asbury. This hotel served its purpose for us. It was nice that they had a 1pm check-in, the pool looked nice. I will likely stay here again.
• Sarah (10/5): - We have been staying at the Belmar Motor Lodge for years now and enjoy our stay every time. It's in a great location close to town, so easy access to local stores and restaurants! It has all the amenities you need and the pool is an added bonus too
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly staff. Nice area near the marina, plenty of restaurants, close to beach. Pool was nice, unlimited ice and coffee always works for me! The bathroom could use some minor refurbishments. Couldn't completely turn of the tub faucet. But other than that was a much better experience than I anticipated for the price
• Ryan (2/5): - It smelled of marijuana and the the sheets were dirty. I checked in and out within five minutes. I didn't feel safe with the people hanging outside the lodge. Disappoinyed and disgusted as I drove a distance to attend a funeral. I asked for a refund and I am still waiting to hear from the hotel. It was very unpleasant experience.

• Gina (10/5): - This place exceeded my expectations! It was an stress-free stay in a nice area. My husband and I enjoyed the 10 minute walk to the beach and we thought the room was well worth the cost.

• Jacob (2/5): - It was awful - I got either bed bug bites, or had an allergic reaction to the pillow cases - have massive red welts the day after my stay and started to notice them as I was tossing and turning at the hotel trying to sleep. The toilet shakes when sitting on it and the bathroom ceiling had a gaping hole in the ceiling going into crawl space just above the shower area. Not a good experience and it was actually not cheap either!

• Laura (6/5): - Room was clean and quite large. Bed was comfortable. Refrigerator and temperature control in good working order. Coffee in the lobby was surprisingly good. The hotel is very outdated- Key for entry rather than a card, No USB charger, Outlets in inconvenient locations. Decorating very outdated and tired. No frills such as hair dryer, microwave or coffee machine. Halls dark and dank (no aircon there). We had a one night stay so it was adequate. Price at just under $300 was high but it is the Jersey Shore in July..
• Linda j (6/5): - The location is good and the employees were great. The carpet and mattress cover needed to be cleaned. I have 2 extra charges after check out which I have not figured out yet. I will call the hotel and may need to dispute them. It was left better than upon arrival!

• Eric (6/5): - For the cost and location, I expected more and that should be my fault. For a toilet seat, small enough for a child and barely an adult. Toilet paper so thin, you could see through it. Great size fridge no microwave or coffee in the room. Big Concern was the ice cube was constantly left in the ice bin. My truly positive note, location, location, location. The staff was very polite and accommodating when possible the pool was amazing.

Plenty of parking and plenty of walkable stores and restaurants. The pool was large and plenty of chairs for people. Very good location and all and all a good experience. I will return.

There was no fitted sheet on the bed, and the blankets had holes burned into them. It was quite outdated. The pillows were 2 inches thick and there were only 2 on each bed. There was also a sharp, pointy piece of metal sticking out of the bathroom doorknob that can seriously injure someone. The people at the front desk were friendly, but overall it was a very uncomfortable stay.

• Nicholas (6/5): 2023 Visit to BML- Not So Good - I was at BML for 3 nights. I have been visiting Belmar and staying there for many years and really liked it. Rating was always high. This stay has changed my opinion of the place, however. I’ll start with the one and only high note I experienced. Tommy, the evening manager is excellent: Very pleasant and accommodating. Justin - not so much. Very unprofessional and confrontational. In all my years I have never been treated as disrespectfully as I was by this young man. It left a bad taste in my mouth about this establishment and impaired my enjoyment of this year’s visit to Belmar

There were people shouting in the hall way at night and the room had an "old" smell which made it definitely feel like a motel or motor lodge. It served my needs though so was fine.

• G (4/5): Don’t do it. - We checked in late in the evening, and upon arriving asked the front desk if we could have a late checkout, noon instead of 11. She said no problem I’ll note it. Come 11am an employee by the name of Justin bangs on the door, and says you have to get out. Returned key to front desk, and tried to explain what the girl at front desk stated last night. He called us liars, and to get off the property. It was kinda laughable. He is seriously unbalanced and has no business being in the service industry. Hotel has no-smoking signs posted everywhere and room was advertised as non-smoking. The whole hotel smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The blankets on the bed were ratty with multiple cigarette burns, as well as the carpet. The whole property is in disrepair. We travel often and the combination of poor condition and poor service make this the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. On a good note, the restaurant across the street, Marinas was excellent.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Find a different place to stay. - Run down cinder block building. Everything smells of cigarettes. Room was very run down. Soiled chairs in the room. Walls covered in some questionable substance. Disabled smoke detector. Carpet was so dirty I didn’t want to take my shoes off. At least the u comfortable mattress and box spring were in zipped protectors. Old flat pillows, cigarette burned blankets. One of the grossest rooms I’ve ever slept in. Next time I’ll be more careful.
• Nikole (4/5): - The motel is good if you need a simple one nighter on a harder bed with a napkin (or two) for pillows. My box spring cover was torn. The carpet was squishy in spots. The staff was very nice. It is just a very outdated and aged property that hasn't been touched in a long time.
