Guest Reviews
- Dnice (1/5): Need new mattresses they are old - The location was okay but very confusing to check in. The mattress was so old and sunken in. You can also feel the springs on the sides already. I have back problems and for 2 nights I hardly slept. The worst bed I ever tried to sleep on. To top it off all other rooms were sold out so I was stuck.
- Jennifer (8/5): Outdated. Okay stay. - It was close and convenient to everything. The staff were very friendly and happy to help!! The shuttle was amazing. The rooms were extremely outdated. They had a weird smell. Our room didn’t have the additional lock for extra security.
- King (10/5): Well worth the convenience to stay after a concert - Very convenient and reasonable Nothing I can say negative about it , very enjoyable
- Bryan (10/5): - The stay was comfortable
- John (10/5): -
- Ruben (8/5): - Price was acceptable, No security. People were arguing outside my room. Nobody to stop them
- cindy (7/5): It was fine for one night but after those beds non of us could walk our backs were killing us. - The location was great, the patio was nice No one was working at the front desk so we had to check in at the casino which was really busy so we had to wait awhile there was only one employee working. I asked about the pool at the main hotel they don’t share but they share check in. The beds were so uncomfortable and noisy we were actually sore in the morning from how uncomfortable they were
- Maria (8/5): -
- Miguel A. Leyva H. (5/5): Price - Staff Should be cleaned room every day
- Francine (5/5): OK - No refrigerator or microwave in the room and the coffee was disgusting!
- Jan (3/5): - Proximity to the casino Room was really rough curtains disgusting old no refrigerator beds comfy but furniture old and bathroom really old
- DAVID (9/5): AWESOME -
- Cindy Siems (7/5): It was nice - convenient - less expensive than staying at the casino hotel. - Clean room - older but clean. The bed was comfortable. Soft water and good water pressure! Free shuttle up the hill to the casino. Nice little patio outside the door. Not enough electrical outlets in the room. Shower head could stand to be updated. Needs a path to go up to the casino - instead of walking on the road. Had to check in at the casino hotel up the hill - no one was manning the Lodge check in at the Lodge.
- Velasquez (10/5): Great - Shuttle to and from main casino/hotel available.. Everything was fine
- Tiffany And Bryce (8/5): -
- Teresa (1/5): - Only the location. This is a formal complaint regarding my recent staY AT THE CLIFF Castle Casino Hotel, which was not satisfactory, due to false information of accommodation description provide on the Hotel Website. I reserved two rooms from 3/29/2026 -4/2/26 at the Cliff Castle Casino Hotel in Camp verde, Arizona in rooms 226 and 228. As was conveyed to the receptionist, we were not satisfied with the accommodations proved for the following reasons:
-I reserved adjoining rooms and the receptionist was fixated on sending us to separate floors. Upon hearing our dissatisfaction with these arrangements, they sends to a different building all together. We were told that that these were the selected rooms for the booking.com booking. This building was comparable;e to the employee's quarters. I felt that we were racially profiled. We had a room in between that had a lot of kids, crying kids, that did not let us sleep.
- Upon walking up to this otherbuiding, we saw a couple of large roaches by the ice machineonthe the first floor, near the stairs.
- We spoke to a receptionist to inform him that one of the rooms did not have either a coffee machine or an ironing board. We did not want them to come to the conclusion that we had taken those things away ourselves at the end of our stay - which would have resulted in an added expense. We were told that they would send one of each but per our 4-night stay, these amenities never arrived.
- As part of the available amenities, we were also supposed to have a small refrigerator in the rooms and neither room had one. One of us needed to store medication in it, but it was unavailable.
- Two days in, upon approaching a cleaning lady a few away, I asked if our rooms were on her roster for clearing. Her response left me baffled. To my added disappointment. She said if we wanted our rooms tended to, we would have to speak to someone at the front desk but that doing so would incur an extra expense.
- Miguel Ángel (8/5): - Pretty good N/A
- Chris (10/5): Excellent - Everyone was very friendly. Everything was great. No complaints.
- Michael (5/5): Just ok - Price Dirty
- Danny (10/5): -
- Kaylin (6/5): It was alright - That it’s private There’s not very many outlets to plug any devices in to charge. You have to move the coffee maker to be able to plug it in, we moved the table to make it easier to use the one outlet on the wall by the patio door.
- Joseph (6/5): Decent stay - Location and the pool were great! We didn’t have a bottom sheet, and the dust was really thick. There was also a power strip that was frayed and a true fire hazard.
- Bud (3/5): This was a cheap scheme that poisoned the whole town in our minds. - The place was beautiful when we arrived. Very pretty inside and clean. We were initially excited to stay there. When we checked in, we discovered we weren’t staying at the resort hotel. They put us in a ratty little motel at the bottom of the hill and said we could walk up the hill to play at their beautiful casino. This was a pretty slick scheme: advertise a beautiful resort, then put you in a run-down Motel 6! It worked. We felt like absolute trash. Here’s the twist: my wife loves to gamble. She was so angry at being misled, we didn’t even visit their haughty casino or any of their restaurants. Lesson: the short term gain on tricking us with the room led to long term pain. They would have made hundreds, perhaps thousands on making our stay enjoyable. As it turned out, they got to rip us on the room and nothing else. We will never go back to Camp Verde, AZ
- Chance (1/5): I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. There’s also no food in the area, which is a bummer. - This is not a good hotel. They do not have ice, staff, refrigerator or microwave. They did have a balcony that overlooked nothing. There was absolutely no staff at this hotel. You have to go to the casino to check in and check out. The price is very high for the little amenities you get. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone. if I hadn’t scheduled ahead of time I would have canceled.
- steven (9/5): An interesting and quirky comfortable one night stay. - It was different. The location-luxury-seemingly in the middle of nowhere! Having a private patio looking out on the desert. Would have preferred a room on the top floor.
- Dylan (3/5): Doesn’t live up to potential - Room was acceptably clean nothing too bad, room service employees were kind. Extremely Dated, property it self is not clean at all, run down, has allot of potential with a bit of love. Front desk employees have poor attitude and lack of charisma.
- Matt (6/5): Fairly priced and in great location based on our needs. - The price was more reasonable than the hotel and the proximity to the casino, castle, and other tourist sites was great. The room was very dark and need of some TLC (a fresh coat of paint and some deep cleaning and maintenance work in bathroom). The outside stairwell was also dark at night.
- Byron (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Missey (2/5): Worn and tired Lodge - Location was close to the activities for the trip. The room was in need of a major redo. Old ragged draperies, walls stained and worn paint and wall coverings. Dirty glass sliding doors to the balcony covered with dirt and foliage. Bathroom fixtures cracked and stained. No daily housekeeping to remove trash, and replenish towels and coffee making supplies. No hotel staff at Lodge location, had to check in at the main casino hotel.
- Rachel (2/5): Horrible, don’t recommend. - Bed comfort was adequate. When I arrived the front desk was closed and I had to drive to the casino hotel to check in and didn’t even have a directions on how to get there. I asked for accommodations for the inconvenience and the employee said “best I can do is give you a map.” Once I got to the room I was immediately hot because the rooms a/c was off and there was dust everywhere because the popcorn ceilings were falling everywhere. When I went in to shower I fell and hurt myself from how slippery the tub floor was. Lastly, my check out time was 11:00am but housekept for some reason came knocking on my door at 8:30am hoping I was gone to clean my room. Also, I didn’t read so this is my fault but I would like to note there’s no fridge in the rooms.
- Judy (1/5): It was not a good experience and would not go back. - We liked that it was close to the main casino It was noisy and uncomfortable. There was so much parting and people were so loud. There was no security to monitor. You could hear the tv in the next room all night. Ended up leaving in the middle of the night due not being able to sleep. Would never stay there again!
- floyd (10/5): very happy for the money spent - help was friendly, property was older but well maintained
- Kline (7/5): Good stay -
- Spencer (5/5): The room was clean but... - The staff Where the motel was located and the fact that I thought we were staying at the casino, not at a motel down the road. The stairwell and sidewalks were filthy. It looked like they were never hosed down and it caused me to pause before entering the room thinking it was going to be dirty.
- Evansue (7/5): Could be better, it’s ok I guess - I liked how helpful the staff was specially the person that drives the shuttle he is super friendly The rooms were dusty, they don’t do any kind of room tidying during your stay, the outlets were in odd places and the shower had a faulty faucet
- Cole (10/5): -
- Cheryl (7/5): - Location Outdated
- xiao zheng (1/5): - bed is too dirty.
- Elmer (4/5): Very dirty, NEGLECTED - It is central to a couple of attractions ie Montezuma Castle, Tuzigoot, the Well, Out of Africa When we got there, seemed abandoned, you need to check in through the Casino Hotel, there was no front desk. Upon checking in, we got a room upstairs, we had a lot of suitcases, medical condition that prevents climbing stairs, there is no elevators. We had to drive up again to the Casino Hotel to request a room on the first floor. We finally got a room, the toilet had remaining of poop upon arrival, the small table used to eat inside the room had crumbs of food left. My daughter was walking inside the room without socks, once she got on the bed, I noticed her feet were very dirty, seemed as if that room was never mopped. There were dead cockroaches outside. The beds seemed clean, we were out most day and did most activities in the main Casino Hotel, just seems like this Lodge is very abandoned by staff. A day before checking out, our key to the room stopped working, we had to drive up to the Casino Hotel front desk to have this fixed. Just very inconvenient, affordable, yes. Overall experience staying here was not so great.
- Alexander (5/5): Avoid this property - It’s a casino and it convenient to Sedona. The staff are nice Where do I start? The “lodge” is not the hotel, it’s a motel at the bottom of the hill. They don’t allow pets in the casino hotel so we didn’t have an option (all unknown to us). The rooms are in poor condition, structurally. There are no amenities available there and the prices are too high for what you are getting. Going to the casino was a disappointment. The restaurant opens and closes at its convenience and does not match the hours posted. The slot machines are the worst i’ve encountered in the western states. Would not recommend staying here unless its an emergency
- Felicia (9/5): Good - Pool and casino A ride to the Cadino
- Teresa (7/5): -
- Blair (10/5): - I love the 2nd floor in the lodge with the balcony 🩷 NA
- Crystal (5/5): Nice room, noisy, dim lit, confusing registration - The room was nice and clean, spacious. When we got there we were directed by a sign in front of the Lodge Casino to go up on the hill to the main casino to check in. We didn’t realize that the Lodge was behind the lower casino (closed), but found it later after driving around and watching where other cars went. (We were not told at desk). The walls were paper thin so each night couldn’t get to sleep until the neighbors did. We could hear their conversations, everything that went on on both sides of our room. The lighting on the outside of the lodge was very dim. It felt like the Lodge was really going down hill. While the room was decent, we would not stay there again!
- Gates (8/5): -
- Tammy (10/5): - Casino The lodge part need at a fridge in the room
- Yoany (6/5): -
- Veronica (3/5): -
- carlosqm1 (9/5): -
- MASASHI (5/5): - Wi-Fiは繋がっていません
建て付けが悪く扉が開きません
- Christina (6/5): No Front Office. On your own. - Large suite with a lovely balcony. It is close to the casino. No one said their lobby was closed. As in closed closed. Had to use the casino hotel for anything, which is a drive. The room is so sparsely furnished for such a large space it was rather bizarre. And almost no outlets. Honestly, I'll call any hotel going forward and not trust this website. Who goes to a hotel for just 10 dollars less that has no one on site?
- Pickles (8/5): -
- William (3/5): - The check in process was fine and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning made a loud squealing noise and it was 95 degrees that day. There was no hair dryer in the bathroom but there was a bracket where the hair dryer was supposed to be. The ceiling fan in the bathroom didn't work. The light in the entrance into the room didn't work. There was a coffee pot but no electric outlet so we had to move it into the bathroom. The phone in the room didn't work so we had to use our cell phones to call the front desk. We talked to the hotel check in person the next morning and he said because we booked thru booking.com he couldn't do anything for us.
- Gerardi (10/5): The great Lodge. - The help was on the spot very friendly staff and reassuring me if I needed any help to call front desk, the professionalism is definitely there. Thank you.. There wasn't any complaints it was all good.
- Patricia (7/5): Wonderful - All the ratings above were based on the hotel not the lodge. When we checked in at the hotel where you had to check in for the lodge the guy at the front desk told us it would be only $10 more to stay at the hotel so we did. Everything was great. Always wanted to stay at the hotel.
- Kristy (10/5): - The big room with a balcony.. enjoyed bowling and gambling , swimming and being on property but not in the hotel part The restaurant was not good for the price
- Julie (1/5): The service at the front desk was not helpful booking.com was horrible as well - Nothing ! The Lodge is nasty. The staff was rude and didn’t care about the issue. I booked the room for my husband they would not check him in, I had to call to add his name come to find out he was at the Lodge that was old and gross. Everything is old dated and dirty. The pictures on booking.com are misleading. Never again ! Ever
- Karen (4/5): Stay in the casino - the Lodge was over priced - The shower was a nice walk-in. The casino shuttles were frequent and the drivers very friendly. Our group was spread over three buildings, with varying levels of quality. the TVs worked sometimes, there were no in room refrigerators, the furniture was sparse and very used. No elevator.
- Lisa (8/5): - The large rooms. Coffee maker was broken.
- Maria (10/5): - The privacy Remote control had duct tape holding in the batteries
- Roger (7/5): -
- John (4/5): -
- Nick (4/5): Cheap - Tub stopper did not work, TV was messed up so had to get someone to fix it then no HBO or any CH otheer than news, sports, a bible stuff. No mini fridge or micro wave and when I looked at booking this is was under 100 then the next day when I booked it...125.
- Amberlynn (7/5): I spent the days exploring the area. I was just there to sleep and the room was clean and good location. - It’s a little dumpy From the outside but it was clean inside. None of the ice machines worked - no microwave or a mini fridge in the room. And it’s pretty noisy.
- Kelvina (3/5): The beds were terrible and the floors were dirty there wasn’t enough towels and th water was leaking in the shower the s -
- Yazzie (7/5): Affordable. - Door was close to my vehicle. It opened up to a ‘free range’ and almost appeared abandoned. Road also ended without any warning and had to take a different route!
- Michelle (5/5): -
- Jack (10/5): -
- Valerie (1/5): The lodge is not the same as the Casino & it’s duty & reminiscent of a run down shack & smokers. - It is a run down property that they seem to use for when they sell out at their prime property. No staff available.
Rooms were very smokey.
Rooms were not taken care of, doors kicked in & shower curtains stained orange.
- Amy (10/5): - Balcony and location
- BERNIS (10/5): Cómoda - Muy cómodo Solo que no había servido en el desk front del loadge
- LaRue (8/5): - Loved the perks, and giveaways. The room could use some updates,
- REBECCA (5/5): - The shuttle service..Clean towels Beds squeaky..Electrical outlets very loose & felt unsafe
- Guadalupe (10/5): -
- Delacruz (1/5): -
- Carmen (10/5): - Nice
- Kayanna (5/5): - Location and Staff service. Rooms were outdated at the lodge for the price. Beds were so old they were coil mattresses that were squeaky and uncomfortable The beds and outdated rooms that were priced way too high. It was like an old Motel
- Georgianna (6/5): -
- Michael (7/5): - Location, staff, ease of access to casino. Maintenance starting very loud work at 8am in an adjacent room. Shower heads. Broken ice machines.
- Thomas (8/5): Had a good time with my lady. - More affordable than main hotel. Having to take a bus to get to the venue.
- Mike (6/5): Great location at an affordable rate - The location was ideal for our purposes; between the Grand Canyon and our next stop, Sedona. Our room was fine, but my nephew, in Room 136 was disturbed by a “creaky” bed.
- Johnny (9/5): Staff always receives us with good reception. Reservation are quick and less questions asked. - the bed is comfortable, bathroom is clean, room is clean too, TV is ok, I am not much into watching it. Rooms are secured and if the neighbors don't watch TV loud, its good. I always get bottom room because we are elder adults.
- Terri (1/5): Old facility, nonresponsive staff. Worst stay of our vacation! - The beds were very comfortable. We requested housekeeping during our 3 night stay and the room was never cleaned, We had to go back up to the casino to complain and the night we were leaving we asked for some kind of compensation and was told by Lucy Terry that the manager would have to email me because there was nothing they could do because we booked thru booking.com, OF course that email never came. The ice machine did not work, there was no fridge to keep my insulin and the toilet paper holder was missing. We made the front desk aware but nothing happened. Very old facility that is not maintained.
- Gary (6/5): -
- Olga (5/5): Long wait to check in - Check in was terrible
- Danielle (5/5): Noisy doors, clean rooms but glad we didn’t stay more than one night. - It was clean. Clean towels. Clean everything. Thank goodness there was security 24 hours, there was a dispute. The walls were very thin. We heard our neighbors clearly. The pool was right below us and it was loud while trying to go to sleep. The ice machine was broken, we needed it.
- Jim (8/5): Nice Stay - The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There could have been at least one more chair in the room, and they could have been more comfortable.
- Joshua (7/5): -
- Jennifer (4/5): I actually couldn’t wait to get out of there and I usually try to stay as long as I can - I didn’t really like it The furniture in the bed and everything was beat up. Yes it was clean, which is very nice but very old and very rundown and they charged a $50 deposit for furniture that was particleboard and already kind of falling apart and the bed. The mattress was not that good.
- David (1/5): It was terrible. We didn’t spend the night. We ended up driving home. - Like the fact that it was close to the Camp Verde railroad station and we had planned on going to the casino and having a good night. The room that we first got was located in the lodge. There was old coffee filters left in the coffee pot. The coffee pot was dirty. There was a floor lamp stuck to the floor not sure what it was stuck to on the floor, but it was gross and also I had to plug in the phone in order to call the front desk to complain about the room being dirty. They offered to move to another room, so we went to the second room that room. The adjoining door would not lock the attendant came and even tried to help us and the door would not lock, therefore not feeling safe to stay in a room where the adjoining door does not lock we decided to leave and now they are not wanting to give a refund back. We didn’t even stay at the hotel lodge.I’m
- Anabel (3/5): - Muy Ruidoso.colchones en mal estado
- Christopher (1/5): Cannot wait to get out of there never use your site again - Nothing The bed was horrible pillow is horrible. The room was dirty and smelled like smoke very outdated. The outside of the place is horrible dirty cigarette butts all over. I was wondering how your site can possibly recommend this place.
- Monet (3/5): No thank you - None everything Everything
- April (10/5): -
- Melody (10/5): -
- Melody (10/5): -
- Bryan (8/5): -
- Brook (8/5): It was fine - Safe and spacious Outdated room for cost
- Rob (10/5): Overall very good - Efficient and clean Lodge rooms are very dated with few outlets and poor chair for “desk’
- Rob (9/5): Very comfortable and affordable. - very clean, everything worked as designed limited outlets in the room and no chair for working at 'desk'- used ottoman.
